Ability is a pleasure to deal with. They keep you updated on appointments, share costs up front and provide great customer service. I'm glad to say that they are a reliable company that we'll be sticking with for the long term. Jason is a great technician that we've had very good experiences with.

Thought I needed a whole home dehumidifier which would cost thousands. I always get three bids and go with who I thought would do a great job and charge a fair price. This was the only HVAC that told me I don't need one and diagnosed the issue. The rest sent me estimates and didn't care what the issue was. Will definitely use these guys in the future.

John with Ability Air & Heat came to the house and diagnosed and handled an issue I had been having with my A/C for over a year. Several other A/C companies tried and failed to even FIND the real problem. John was here less than an hour and found the REAL problem. He then fixed it at a very fair price. I had him come back for a different issue and he again diagnosed AND handled the problem in an hour's time.
John is very professional, upbeat, easy to deal with and thorough. He explained the issues I was having in easy to understand terms. The whole house feels better and I can tell the A/C system is working properly now!

This is my second experience with Ability Air and Heat. The first time John repaired an A/C in my rental property that we had been told needed to be replaced. It has been running fine ever since. This time I had him do an inspection on my A/C and sign me up for their maintenance program. He is very efficient, friendly and on time! - Not to mention reasonably priced. I gladly trust him for any future work.

John and Jacob have done an excellent job keeping my old unit running for years whereas others have come in and suggested I replaced this part and that part etc. etc….finally I DID need a replacement unit and John and Jacob did an excellent job installing the new unit like clockwork and did not oversell me on something I didn’t need. Sarina in the office ALWAYS takes care of business!! I highly recommend them, they are trustworthy and very professional !!

I highly recommend John Dungan and his son Jacob at Ability Air.

They installed a full house system in my 100 year old house, and I was able to get rid of all my noisy, clunky window units. Plus they installed a UV light in the unit to purify and disinfect the air.

John and Jacob are very competent, trustworthy & knowledgeable.

But the best part is I really TRUST them. I have experienced this field can be a snake pit of unscrupulous business people, so having them as “My A/C guys” is a big relief.

Wow! I can't praise enough how happy and impressed I am with Ability's Air's fast and competent service!! He was spot on in finding and fixing the problem and in no time, we had cold air again - yes!

I have a 20 year old American Standard in which the heat went bad. BEFORE calling John, I had about 6 companies come out. The first 2 were attempts to fix it. One company the technician said he didn't want the job, wasn't even going to attempt, it's too old and the parts are no longer made. Then I had quotes on a replacement and caught several pushing for very cheap systems that would maximize their own profit or not fully honest. I decided to get one last quote but this time to search google for a company with the best reviews close by. I was surprised to find a solid 5 stars with 28 reviews for Ability Air. When John came by, he said that likely the part was still available and he could fix it. He was very honest and very fair and reasonable with his prices. He said even though my system is very old, it seemed in great condition and gave me the option of fixing it or a very reasonable quote on a good quality replacement. I opted for the repair and he did an excellent job! When the time comes when I do need to replace it, or for any other AC needs I'll definitely be using him from now on!

UPDATE: 9/7/18 - At 3:00pm this Friday my AC stopped working. I called John hoping towards close of business Friday I could get this fixed, John came right out and had it working very quickly. Anytime I need AC service, or when mine finally needs replacement, I'll definitely use him!

Moved here a few years back and immediately need to find an A/C tech. John at Ability turns out to be a great find. Consulted with him during our subsequent renovations to make sure things were done right. Upgraded to a heat pump to handle the cool days and that has been great. Have them come out each year and do a quality check. I highly recommend.

John and his son recently replaced my central air by relocating it, redoing returns setup, and fixing deficient venting to the main bedroom. My house is finally moving air the way it should and my main bedroom that has always been the hottest room in the house is now the coolest room as I had asked them to do. The new unit which they relocated from my garage to my attic is incredibly quiet and seems to be very efficient. Thanks ability man!

We have relied on John and his staff for over 2 years. When we bought our condo, Ability installed a new air conditioner/heater. They've taught us how to maintain the unit properly (replacing air filters regularly and flushing lines) and serviced the unit within hours when the unit stopped working (through no fault of Ability). Professional, responsive and great value.

We've been using Ability Air for several years. We were lucky enough to find this company after having several disappointing experiences with other companies. We trust John to be honest about what needs to be done. They always do a great job, are usually early to an appointment (they call first) and are very professional.

I have worked with John, and Ability Air and Heat, on several systems in several homes. He is an absolute professional. He has been fantastic with full complete installations, moderate repairs, and basic system maintenance. Him and his company are reliable, great with communication, and very fairly priced. I could not recommend them enough to anybody, big system or small, John and Ability Air will be able to take care of it, and is also a pleasure to work with.

If I could give John and Jacob 10 stars, I would! They installed and have maintained my A/C for years. They are quick to respond to the inevitable urgencies that arise through our grueling summers. Their maintenance program stays on top of my A/C's best performance schedule without my having to keep track of it. They are always prompt in their time window and phone ahead of their arrival. I greatly appreciate their office staff, Sarina! All involved with Ability Air are friendly, competent and professional. I trust them completely and am glad they are there.

John Dungan, owner of Ability Air installed my new 2 ton AC recently and we are very happy with his work. In addition A friend‘s AC went out during the hurricane and I heard about John‘s YouTube video which troubleshoots AC units that have stopped working. I texted him for the video and he sent it. I listened to it. I applied the 3 points that he suggested, and I got the AC to work on my own. I think this is a very thoughtful video to send to homeowners to enable us to do a few things to fix our AC instead of having someone out and that could money that we did not need to spend. wanted to thank John and his company. You guys rock!!!!!

Our A/C unit broke down this summer and John went the extra mile (literally extra miles) to get an uncommon part needed to repair the unit. I cannot thank him enough. As someone else mentioned in their review, and I completely agree, I would give Ability Air & Heat 10 stars if possible. We have used their services for over 5 years and John and Jacob do great work! They are happy to answer any questions you may have and provide very helpful information. I highly recommend them!

EDIT it's been almost 10 years for us now and John gives such incredible service. He babies my AC units and knows them well. I am part of his monthly preventative plan, which I highly recommend. Today was not the first time he was at my house 30 minutes after I called him telling him my unit wasn't working on a July Florida day. HIGHLY recommend!

I've had John work on my AC twice now. Both times it was a late night issue and they were closed so I called some 24 hour repair company. The first time they couldn't figure out what the problem was and gave up. The second time they recommended I replace the whole unit and quoted astronomical numbers. Both times I ended up waiting until normal business hours and called Ability. John got to the source of the problem and fixed it both times at a very reasonable rate. I really trust his knowledge, experience and integrity. I would highly recommend him.
