Tree reviews in Clearwater, Florida

Excellent company. The Arborist was extremely knowledgeable. The price was decent. They did more work for the money than another company we previously used. Staff was very polite, and asked numerous times if we were happy with the work. They were prompt and efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again. Their arborist Chris, seems to know everything about anything that grows in Florida.

Pinellas Tree Service removed 4 trees for us, and I couldn't recommend them enough. They were very communicative on the estimates and scheduling (Ellen in the office is so pleasant to work with). They showed up on time day of removal, and their team breezed right through the work. The whole team seemed very experienced. Nothing was damaged, they cleaned up after themselves so well. True professionals, I would never call another tree company again.

Called Pinellas Tree Service on recommendation from a neighbor. I had a giant oak tree over my house that had a large limb fall and come to rest on my new 1 year old roof. The limb was very high and needed to come down gently. After analyzing the steps needed the guys brought it down quickly. The whole process was reasonably priced and they told me the next steps to keep my trees maintained. Thanks guys!

I have been using Pinellas Tree Service for over ten years, Jon Wilbur has always been fair with his pricing as well as discounting my pricing as a Veteran. The workers are professional and their work is the best. These people do their work as if the work they are doing is their own property. I have recently recommended Jon Wilbur & Pinellas Tree Service to a local business where the property was recently purchased by a new owner. The property was not kept up and when I contacted the new property owner to advise him of the lack of tree maintenance, he requested that I recommend a local tree service. I recommended Jon & Pinellas Tree Service and although the new property owner did not live locally he took my recommendation and spoke to Jon received a professional quote with pictures, his business license along with their insurance information. Their quote was accepted within 24 hours & on the same day that Pinellas Tree Service did the work for the neighboring business, they also did the work for my property that I had hired them for. The work for both our properties was exceptional. I could not be more satisfied with the result of their work. To anyone wondering whether or not to hire Pinellas Tree Service all you need to do is see the work they have done or read this review. My wife & I are retired and on a fixed income and although I have always done my research and looked at other tree services I have always stayed with Jon and Pinellas tree. The new property owner is now a new customer of Pinellas Tree and I am sure he is as pleased with the work as I am.

The Pinellas Tree Service team is knowledgeable, professional and dependable. I've used them for a few jobs now and each time they've exceeded expectations!

Beautiful, beautiful work. These guys know their trees. They recommended a crown cleaning for portion of a 100 year-old oak that hangs over our yard and it has transformed our property.

We found Pinellas Tree Service through an excellent arborist we've used for decades to care for our huge old live oak tree. It needed some major TLC pruning and borer treatment, and we had several palms needing a trim. We couldn't be more satisfied with the service's communications, efficiency, smart, careful, and friendly workmen, good work and clean-up. And they managed to navigate our very narrow street without causing anyone else inconvenience. Pinellas Tree Service is now our go-to company.

The crew at Pinellas Tree service did an incredible job removing a rotting tree from a dangerous location on our property in Tampa. David led the crew and was extremely friendly and informative of the entire process. I highly recommend Pinellas Tree Service to anyone looking for an honest and capable business to hire.

Pleased with their work. They submitted a competitively-priced proposal - they scheduled the work promptly - their crew arrived when expected, reviewed the work to be done with us before commencing - and left our property as neat and clean as it was prior to their arrival. The job? Remove two 40-foot tall Washington palms, surrounded by other shrubbery, from a front yard planting area close to the house. They did the job without damaging any of the other plantings, they were courteous and respectful of our and our neighbor's property, and they worked fast. I would use them again and recommend their service work.

Hurricane Milton tipped our huge live oak enough that we were afraid not only for our own house but the neighbors too. We have used Pinellas tree service for years while in several houses here in Clearwater and have always been thrilled with their work and in their professionalism.

So yesterday, January 20, 2025 was rainy and cold but not a single grumble from any of the crew. We almost had to postpone the job but the weather cleared enough to get the tree down safely and expeditiously.

I have worked in the Florida greens industry myself for over 25 years and just marveled at the efficient job these guys did, seamlessly bringing one large branch down to the crew which then cut everything down and off to the side in time to receive another branch. Wash, rinse, repeat.

The guys were sweet to my mother and her furry canine buddy too. It's obvious they love the dogs!

Thank you Pinellas tree service and well done!

Pinellas Tree Service trimmed our over 50 year old live oak. David, the guy in charge was very personable and sincerely interested in us and our tree. The guys did an awesome job; we were impressed with their concern to complete the job to our liking and with their amazing clean up! We highly recommend Pinellas Tree Service!

Pinellas Tree Service did exemplary work, yesterday. Everyone was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful ending up
with good cleanup! I have used them in the past and plan to
continue using and recommending to others. The office staff is efficient! They seem to have a great deal of heavy equipment available to do very large jobs. Thank you Pinellas Tree Service!

A difficult tree removal that ended well. We had a large, rotten at base, tree in a hard place to take out. Crane was used and thankfully it is gone now ( before next hurricane shows up). There was no damage to yard and the cleanup was great. Nothing left of the tree, branches, or leaves. It was a large job with difficult access requirements. Very happy with the results. The team was professional, well equipped, and safe. When I need tree work again, I definitely will use them.

The best experience we've had in the 24 years of being in our house! Talen and his whole team were on time, thorough, hard working, and competent. They were polite and gracious and answered all my questions and followed through on every aspect of my job. Our property looks so fresh and cleaned up! I highly recommend them!

I have used this company for tree service for two properties for at least 30 years. I will use none other. Most recent service, best ever. Pricing was good, arborist was great, the crew came in with all that was needed. They came with a huge crew and all were delightful to work with...even had a sense of humor! All my requests were addressed and, if you let them go from there, you get even better results. They know their stuff. Job was done in record time. Use them.

We have used Pinellas Tree Service for several years now and are very pleased with the service. Their staff is knowledgeable, and the crews do a great of trimming, pruning and cleaning up after themselves. Highly recommended

Another nice job done. We had two huge oaks removed and the stumps ground down well before the hurricane season cranks up again since they were both too close to the surrounding homes. It looked like the whole company showed up at one time including an 80 ton crane that occupied our driveway for the day. There was an unfortunate situation with the removed limbs being brought and laid onto the neighbors nice flowerbed across the street and a small machine being run onto their driveways by mistake as well. This was dealt with by the company owner accordingly and he himself came in person to make things right and he will continue to follow up as needed with our neighbor. We talked with our neighbors and they greatly appreciate this. I mentioned myself to him how that I always get honesty from this company and the willingness to make things right for the customer. We had two other quotes that were cheaper but we wanted to use this company due to knowledge of dependable work and proven track record.

We have used this company for about 4 years now for our palm trees and other trees needs. I am beyond amazed by their work. Their prices are very affordable but not only this but they are very professional, courteous and their work is immaculate. I highly recommend this company. Chris came and gave us our estimate since this year we needed extra services and he took care of us. Really great company,

I've consistently been pleased with Pinellas Tree Service's work over the years. They recently removed a large storm-damaged Live Oak for me. From the initial consultation with the arborist, Phil, to communication with Ellen in the office, the process was smooth and professional. The crew arrived well-equipped and, despite a brief work stoppage due to a hydraulic leak, they completed the entire removal in a single day. While they did accidentally damage my sidewalk, the crew and the owner, Mr. Fields, promptly addressed the issue and assured me the repairs would be taken care of. I received a competitive quote for the removal, stump grinding, and haul-away, and I'm very happy with the overall service, particularly their responsiveness and efficient work.

Pinellas Tree Service did a great job trimming a large oak tree in my yard. They were efficient from scheduling the job in the office to the crew completing the work and clean up. It's also important to note that they are a really nice group of people!

I had two trees removed from my property. The arborist was knowledgeable and gave me a great estimate. I was able to schedule on my desired date. Talen and his crew were professional, quick, and tidy! I would recommend this company and their employees to my family and friends. Thank you!
