Tree reviews in Deltona, Florida

Jeff Jr. And Jeff senior are awsome. They cleared my front property and it looks amazing. They even got stung by ground bees sorry to say. Jeff sr told me how to rid the bees. I would highly recommend Them for anything you need done in your yard.

I hired Duval and Son to remove several large 60 - 80 ft trees from the front and side of my house, close to the house and hanging over my roof, also with a power pole and lines amongst them. They did an amazing job and were very professional and efficient. I enjoyed watching them work, they were able to finish what could have been a 2-day job for some in less than 8 hours, with stump grinding and yard clean up included. they did a great job for a reasonable price; I highly recommend them and will call them again for my next project.

We had our community entrance blocked because sealcoating was applied to our streets yesterday. They entered through the exit (which happened to be open I believe because the sealcoat company had returned to paint a speed bump) and marked up the sealcoating through half the community. The tracks in the pictures aren't dirt, they're sealcoating that's been churned up. Where they backed up and turned their wheels the aggregate underneath is visible again in spots. If that wasn't bad enough they drove their trailer over a common area through the grass instead of bothering to put an extra 10 seconds of effort and small amount of skill in to properly back up with the trailer. I haven't tested to see if they busted a sprinkler head or not. That'd be a cheap fix.

Edit: The owner below says they were already in the community. Not possible, the sealcoating was done the day before with the barriers left up over night. I walked out as soon as I heard a truck in the community and the entrance side still had its cones up. Not possible for them to have driven in on that side because the sealcoat company had a man literally standing there painting the entrance speed bump! The owner is taking his drivers word for it, he told me on the phone he wasn't there himself. The marks are still on the street, and today almost a week later the grass is just about bounced back but can still see where their trailer cut across.

This company always does an exceptional job. We have several very large oak trees and like to keep them maintained but want them to still look natural and full. This company really cares about the trees as well as safety. We wouldn't use any other company. They left the job site very clean, worked fast, and everything went very smoothly.

Duval and Sons is my GO-TO TREE SERVICE since they’ve done such great jobs removing large and hard-to-access trees for me over the years-- so I called Jeff right away when lightning killed my huge pine tree. This latest one was in a spot where no standard equipment could reach it without risking damage to septic tanks / fields on both my property and my neighbor’s and I also didn’t want damage to landscaping or the 30’ bamboo stands the tree grew out of.

Jeff came out promptly, gave me a very fair estimate, and just two days later, he, his son, and their entire crew arrived with crane, specialized 3’x3’ spider-type lift, protective pads, and everything else needed to do the job right.

While working, they noticed another tree I hadn’t realized had been struck by lightning right outside my bedroom window with dead area hanging over the roof! Very scary, removing it may have prevented a serious accident, and I’m so grateful they caught it.

Duval and Sons team worked with incredible skill and care, protecting my landscaping and zero damage to yard, septic tank/fields or even the delicate bamboo. It looked like the trees had simply vanished — no mess, no damage, nothing disturbed.
From start to finish, their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for their customers stand out. I don’t even bother getting other estimates anymore — I know Duval and Sons will always give me a fair price and do an exceptional job. They’ve outdone themselves yet again, and they’re the only tree service I’ll ever call.

When Jeff Duval Senior came out I was very very specific with exact pictures and references of how I wanted my oak tree trimmed. I also told him I wanted to be here when the work was done. I got a call after weeks which was fine I know his schedule was busy, saying all right we're going to we're on our way to trim your tree and I said no I want to be there and he said well I'll see you and you're done. When I came home I literally called him and said what the h a asterisk LL did you do to my tree. His words " well it was my call " he did exactly the opposite of what I asked him to do. My tree will never ever recover and it looks like an eyesore in the whole entire neighborhood. Please make sure if you have this company come and do the work that you are there and you watch them and stop them when they start doing things that you specifically said I do not want this. When someone gives you pictures of what they want, and you take their money, no it is not your call. I am paying you to provide a service that I want not for you to do whatever you want in exact opposite of what the owner has asked.

We had a mini island of palmetto bushes and trees in our backyard and never really had the opportunity to enjoy it fully since we moved a year and half ago. I did a lot of research and Jeff and his team were completely direct, transparent, professional, and got the job done 2 weeks ahead of schedule! Not to mention a good and fair price! Now we can really enjoy our backyard - so exciting. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again if necessary.

I can't say enough good things about this company. I had to have 3 dead/dying holly trees removed from my property. From quote to completion, the process was an absolute breeze. Everyone from the top down was polite, professional, and incredibly skilled. On the morning of removal, they were able to get everything down and cleaned up in about an hour, which is absolutely incredible to me. I know I will breathe a lot easier this hurricane season! Thanks again for a stellar experience. I definitely recommend Duval to any and all!

EXTREMELY pleased. Great team of experts! Went WAY OVER and beyond the work agreed to in the quote without asking for a penny more. Arrived on time and finished the job to perfection. THANK YOU!

Jeff and his team did a great job removing two 80 foot pine trees from my yard. Less than 4 hours start to finish and left the lawn intact. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for expert tree service at a good price. Thanks Jeff.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to make sure the situation was thoroughly explained, especially since he will likely try to rebuff this in the comments. Unfortunately, I have to leave a 1 star rating solely based on my most recent experience with Jeff. And I’d like to preface this by saying that I try my best to avoid leaving bad reviews unless it’s absolutely necessary, and I feel like I have to. So I had initially hired Jeff in October or November 2023 to clear overgrowth from my backyard and take down a few trees. He did a great job with this and was very affordable, which I appreciated. So, thinking I could trust him, I hired him to come out and level a few areas of my backyard for a shed and a pool that I was putting in myself. After he came out the first time, I took a look at the area where the shed was to be placed and could tell that it wasn’t even remotely level. After calling Jeff up, he claimed that he misunderstood that I was putting the shed up myself and thought a company was bringing a prebuilt shed, so he figured they would level the area. Although I made it clear I wanted the area leveled, I let this misunderstanding go, as he said he’d come out and fix it, which he claimed he did. He also claimed to have shot it with a laser level each time, which should’ve been a red flag since it wasn’t correct the first time. This then brings me to today. After compacting the ground that Jeff claimed had been leveled, I took a level to the area to find that it was not only completely unlevel, but maybe even more unlevel than the first time. So I called Jeff to let him know I was disappointed, hoping he’d offer to correct the issue. Instead, Jeff proceeded to yell at me; I have to admit, I also came off a little aggressively, but I was incredibly irritated to find the work was done incorrectly again. While yelling at me, Jeff claimed that there’s no way to get the ground level with only a machine and that what he had done was as level as a machine could get it; he said I’d have to do any additional leveling myself. This isn’t true, because I spoke to multiple other places that do leveling after this interaction and was told that a machine and laser could get the ground level without additional prep. So now I find myself taking multiple hours performing leveling work that I thought I had avoided by paying quite a bit of money to Jeff. Honestly, just incredibly disappointed in the work and reaction from someone I thought I could trust. So if you need trees taken out and land cleared, he does a great job, but don’t let him lie to you about being able to level the ground.

Outstanding Tree Service!

I highly recommend Duval and Son Services because of their excellent work removing three trees from our property. They have the right equipment to reach tall trees that smaller tree services don't have. They have verifiable insurance, which is a must. They were professional, efficient, and left the area clean—even grinding down the stumps perfectly. Additionally, they trimmed back our neighbor’s overhanging branches that were a big nuisance, so this was a huge relief. The crew was courteous, skilled, and took care to ensure everything was done safely and neatly.

Great communication, fair pricing, and top-notch service—I’d definitely hire them again!

I highly recommend this tree service company! Professional & reliable. They had done a few tree jobs in my house back and front yard. I have always been satisfied with their service.

If you need land clearing I 100% recommend Duval. They’re not only professional but they’re one of the few tree guys that know what they’re doing. I hired a cheaper guy and he left my lot a mess with things overgrown again and coming back. Duval spent 5 days clearing and mulching almost 2 acres and it came out great.

Jeff Duval and his son were great to work with! Their quote was extremely reasonable to tree trimming and they are fully insured! They trimmed back our trees and our Willow tree looks so much healthier now. They also cleaned up all the leaves and debris. Super professional and well priced. I would definitely suggest them to everyone!

We recently hired Duval and Son tree trimming service and couldn’t be more impressed. Every one of our overgrown trees was expertly trimmed, instantly giving our building a fresh, clean look. The crew was thorough and left the area spotless, no debris in sight. On top of that, their customer service was outstanding: friendly, responsive, and professional from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch tree care. Jeff and his crew got the job done fast!

I had an urgent issue with a Tree uprooting and leaning on a power service drop to my house. They took my call right away and was at my house within an hour to assess the situation. I received a fair and honest quote and they were back in 2hrs to cut the tree down. They did a great job and were professional and very personable. This is a Great Company with a Great Team! Thank you again for your excellent service!

I highly recommend this company. I needed two huge pine trees removed that were very close to my house. Jeff quoted the job at a very fair price. The day of the job they showed up on time and did a great job. They cleaned up everything and left the yard looking great. Will definitely use them again.

Duval & Son did a great job removing the falling tree due to Hurricane Milton. They did an amazing job. They went above and beyond!. They even trimmed the tree next to it and they removed the palm in front of my house as a package price. Their fees are very fair and affordable. Thank you so much Duval & Son. I will definitely continue requesting more services with your company.

I had a great experience with Duval and Son Tree Service. They were very professional from start to finish. They came out promptly to assess a large amount of tree debris we had in both our front and backyard, and it was honestly overwhelming.

Their team handled everything efficiently and truly took a huge weight off our shoulders. It’s not easy dealing with that kind of cleanup, but they made the process smooth and stress-free.

I really appreciate their hard work and professionalism. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs tree cutting or debris removal they are a huge help!

Duval and Son are excellent for tree clean up and lot clearing. We used Duval and Son after hurricane Ian a couple years ago. They were very affordable and pleasant to work with. So when we wanted our vacant lot cleared to tame the "jungle," we called Duval and Son again. I price compared just to see what it should cost. Duval and Son were half the price of the other company I had out. I won't check another company next time, (already thinking about removing a tree), they are pleasant, professional and so affordable I recommend them to anyone needing a few branches or one tree, to a whole lot clearing they are the BEST company to work with.
My neighbors said, "It's beautiful!" And "it looks like a park". We are Very happy 😊 thank you Jeff
