Deck Builder reviews in Jacksonville, Florida

I had them come out and install a black aluminum fence for my side yard. They were booked for the rest of the month but were able to squeeze me in sooner which was very much appreciated! Very nice people who do some great work. Will definitely be using them for future projects!

Brandon and Karl are fantastic to work with. We had some...unique issues with our project requiring a whole lot of interaction with the city before being permitted to build our pergola. Brandon and Karl hung with us (for literally a year of dealing with the city!) and were there to work with us all the way through to get what we needed and do what was right for us. Additionally they were the only contractor who didn’t just want to roll out a generic pergola and were working with us to get exactly what we wanted, and it definitely stands out! Once we finally got under way, they showed up on the dot when they said they would and jumped right to work.

We had a couple other issues because of course we would. Karl helped us find quick and easy corrections to make sure everything worked out. We’re more than happy and are excited for them to come back and do a few more things. Don’t hesitate!

Working with Karl and his team was great! They were professional, showed up when they said and did a fantastic job designing our deck around trees, etc. I can tell you it was a pleasure doing business with this company. Karl also is on site doing the work along with his Team! Can’t say enough about Coastal!

Brandon, Shawn and Eric were amazing. These boys jumped into a difficult situation with a positive attitude and were a delight to get to know. Knew exactly what they were doing and were professional and personable. Love love love this company and we would hire them in a second for any further work. Shawn also repaired a fence panel for my mother and she adores his work and honesty. . We would highly recommend them for any of your fencing need.

Coastal, LLC installed a new back deck for me and I am so happy with the results. The crew arrived early and got right to work - very polite and professional. I HIGHLY recommend Karl and his team - top notch and great work! A very happy customer!

Coastal LLC just left after installing a custom deck for us. The quote we received was honored and the work was done in the time frame they quoted. They beat the competition price and was one of the few that actually showed up to do the quote. The work and quality of materials is great. The staff was helpful and detailed in what they were going to do and I could not be happier. If you are looking for an honest, hard-working company that will show up and do a great job at an affordable price you can't go wrong with Coastal. I will recommend them to all of my customers that are looking to improve their home. Thanks!

Highly recommend Coastal for your outdoor carpentry project. I needed to have an outdoor wooden staircase replaced due to wood rot. Coastal was suggested to me by a friend and I'm sure glad they did. Karl, the owner, came out for a quote as scheduled. He helped with the design and suggested a composite decking and stainless wire railing system. He thoroughly explained the job and provided a quote within a couple days. His price was much better than the previous two companies I had provide a quote. I was put on the schedule for about 2 months out. They showed up when they were supposed to. Crew was very courteous and professional. Cleaned up every day. They completed in the allotted time. Karl did a walk through of the completed job to show off his teams work. We had a few minor punch list items that completed in the following weeks after. He kept his word, performed the work as stated, and charged me what he quoted. Can't beat that service now in days. I have received many compliments on the completed stairs and plan to use Coastal in the future.

ONE YEAR LATER: Hired Coastal for a second job. Got nothing but excuses. Three different people handled the job, and every one of them played a game of "not my job" and referred to another person. Four weeks, no progress. We went elsewhere. Customer service at Coastal no longer exists. They grew too fast and their customer service didn't grow with them. Sad. If you want to have your time wasted, call them.

One year ago we hired Coastal Outdoor to build a pergola and install pavers. They did a great job. When we wanted to add on to that, they were our first call. Wasted a month waiting on them, for the quote, for the invoice, for the operations manager to give us ANYTHING but b.s. They might still have great craftsman, but they no longer have anyone worth calling to set the job up.

I hired Karl and Coastal Outdoor Construction to build my pergola. I explained what I was looking for and marked the location were I wanted it built. Karl and his team mapped it out and completed it in one day! Fantastic job as I enjoy my pergola every day. I would recommend Coastal Outdoor Construction to anyone and already have! COC recently built a fence for a friend of mine. Don’t hesitate to hire Coastal Outdoor Construction. Dennis Golden

Coastal did a great job with taking down my chainlink fence and replacing it with a wood fence. They answered the phone every time I called. They gave me a quote on the spot (I didn't have to chase them down for the estimate). They came on time and completed the job quickly. They gave me their professional opinion with some of the more custom parts of my gate. They matched part of my gate to my existing deck perfectly. A few months later part of my gate started to drag and they immediately came out to adjust it. Very nice people. A great experience overall!

I was very pleased with how our wood fence turned out. They replaced a 400+ foot fence along the side of our property. The fence is much straighter, more level, and nicer looking than the original fence it replaced.

Karl also had a great idea to install a "rot board" on the bottom of the fence, which should give it greater longevity, as our old fence was rotting from the ground up due to moisture from the ground.

The guys on his crew were respectful of our property and cleaned up everything nicely when they were done. I would definitely call them again for any fence issues. I am currently planning on having them do other projects for us.

I would use them again and will recommend to friends.

Coastal did my pergola last week and we absolutely love it. It makes sitting outside so much more enjoyable for us :) Thanks again Karl. You guys did a great job!

Coastal Outdoor Construction did a fantastic job installing the 400 SQFT. paver patio in my backyard. I am so happy we decided to add the pergola as well. It really ads a nice spot to sit on the summer days. I highly recommend this company!

We have done business with this company on two occasions. We have been extremely pleased with the results of both jobs. We had new fencing constructed and a new driveway installed. The workmanship is superior and the materials used are first rate. These folks show up when scheduled and complete the job without delay. They are friendly, professional and display an excellent work ethic. If you are in need of any of the services they provide then give serious consideration to using them. You won’t regret it and you will be more than satisfied with the results. My wife and I certainly were !

We are thrilled with how our deck turned out. Couldn't be happier. Great team, and the owner is so professional.

From start to finish our experience with Coastal Outdoor Construction was exceptional. We received estimates from many other companies for our new composite deck and chose Coastal for not only their price, but for their helpfulness in explaining products to us and their responsiveness. Ivy was a pleasure to work with and her assistance with designing our deck was outstanding. Karl, Dave and crew worked as a well oiled machine and built our deck on time and with attention to detail. We loved their suggestion of adding deck lighting. We are beyond thrilled with our new deck!

Coastal Outdoor Construction LLC is the epitome of excellence! Their team transformed our outdoor space into a breathtaking oasis that we never want to leave. From start to finish, their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction shone through. The attention to detail in every aspect of the project was remarkable, and the communication was clear and timely. We are beyond thrilled with the results and highly recommend Coastal Outdoor Construction LLC to anyone looking to elevate their outdoor living experience. Thank you for exceeding our expectations!

Coastal just finished my new deck and I absolutely love it. Everyone from Ivy and the three guys, Eric, Jeff, and I can’t remember the last guy have been absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend them to anyone. These guys even worked the days the arctic blast came through. Thank you all for a great job and cannot wait to decorate my beautiful Trex deck!!!!

Karl added 500 sq feet of outdoor living space with my amazing deck! Many custom features include LED lighting on a timer, cable inserts and extra wide steps.

Karl and Phillip were great help with picking the design for the deck we had built by them. The wife and I really did not know what we wanted and they were kind enough to get us quote for a wood and composite deck. The crew did great. The deck turned out just as it was drawn up. It was not the biggest job but you can tell they put their top effort into making it perfect. Thanks so much Coastal!

We shopped around for our deck replacement and this company stood out. We hired them and we are 1000% satisfied. The communication was excellent, the price was reasonable and the crew was amazing. We are extremely happy with Coastal, highly recommended!
