My lawn care guy passed away and I needed someone quick he came cleaned up yard mowed and did a great job

I tried calling several business to help maintain my lawn for me with no results, put in a request with Lawn Lord and got a reply back within minutes and started communicating with Larry. He visited the property and provided a quote and the rest is history. My yard looks amazing! Satisfied customer!!

I hired Larry after my longtime lawn care provider retired due to age. I found Larry online, reached out, and he came out right away. He looked over the yard, got straight to work, and did an excellent job. In fact, his work was so good that several of my neighbors ended up hiring him too.

But then, out of nowhere, he just stopped showing up. No call, no text, no explanation. I followed up several times—called, texted—but never got a single response. I was genuinely concerned at first, thinking something might’ve happened to him. But after weeks of silence, it became clear: he simply chose to disappear without saying a word.

That is one of the most unprofessional things I’ve ever experienced. All it would’ve taken was a quick message to say, “I can’t continue the job.” That kind of basic communication is the bare minimum in any business.

I’ll be honest—experiences like this make me hesitate when it comes to hiring Black men in business. I don’t want to feel that way, and I know it’s not fair to judge everyone based on one person. But it’s hard not to feel discouraged when something like this happens. Still, I’m reminding myself not to let one bad experience speak for all.

All I ever wanted was some honesty and a little professionalism.

Mr Larry did a great job on my lawn after looking for someone for a while now. I’m glade I got in contact with him. I wish I took before pictures, for yall to see how amazing he did. The bushes grew so big you couldn’t barely see the ground. He cleaned it up pretty nice and even fix one of my water sprinklers that broke for free! Will be doing further business with him. Not only did he take the time personally one on one with me to walk my lawn, and give his expert advice, he provided a very competitive and reasonable rate. Mr Larry was cutting my neighbors yard and I knew we needed our yard done being new to the neighborhood. So I asked could he cut our yard today and he advise he would have to check his appointments to see if he could fit me in. Lo and behold I see him cutting our yard next 🙌🏼🙌🏼 He is very respectful and about his business. He did an amazing job and he is now our yardman. Highly recommend 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Larry the Lawn Lord is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We just moved here and needed lawn care. I saw Larry doing other yards in my neighborhood so I went and spoke with him about setting up services for our home. He came the very next day to take care of my yard. We are set up on a biweekly service now and this man works HARD and does an amazing job. The rain didnt even stop him from completing the houses in our neighborhood. Hands down best lawn care service we have ever had!
