I have been using Call A Plumber at my building for the past thirteen (13) years. They have always been fair and courteous every time I have needed service. Always arriving on time and a great value for what they do. I will continue to use their services as long as I am the Property Manager of this building.

As the owner of a real estate company dealing in high-en properties, it’s imperative the service companies I use and refer are top notch. I have used Call A Plumber for years. The service and support they offer is impeccable. Among the business practices I most appreciate are their professionalism and promptness. The technicians are extremely knowledgeable. They have been able to quickly analyze and solve complex problems efficiently, not stopping until the issue is fixed the first time. Another business practice I really appreciate is that when you call the office, the Business Manager actually answers the phone! (So rare these days!). Call-A-Plumber’s prices are very reasonable and they have the proper credentials to be approved by the exclusive condo buildings in the city. So. If you want an excellent, knowledgeable plumbing contractor, who prompt, polite, trustworthy and reasonably priced, “Call - A - Plumber”. You will be as pleased as I.

Charles and Pamela at Call-A-Plumber epitomize they meaning of a hometown business that goes out of their way to help their customers solve a problem. Let’s face it. You don’t call for plumbing services if everything is working perfectly in your life! I had clients with a problem with their shower valve and Pamela and Charles helped me (and my clients) so much! They proactively reached out to my clients to personally speak with them to reassure them the problem was being resolved. The owner of the business, Charles Duncan, personally went to the distributor to pick up the part and he personally went to the location to install, making sure my client was kept informed at every step of the way. Now. Where do you get service like that these days? From Call A Plumber! So. Do yourselves a favor. Call A Plumber when you need to call a plumber. They are amazing people and they do amazing work!!

I’m here to say all the negative reviews are ACCURATE (I actually question if the positive reviews are actual customers that don’t have personal connections).

I had the same experience as the person who said they were hung up on after telling them to get a new plumber. Well, I did just that after I was given the same advice from Charles. It was actually the best advice he had given me. I called a new plumber and they were out to my home within an hour and fixed the issue (low water pressure when using hot water in kitchen) in an hour for way less than they quoted me (the quote, Charles, you gave me for the clogged drain). Charles tried to tell me to contact the faucet company to see if they’d send a new one. He said he could contact the company (he said they do it all the time) but he’d have to charge, of course. Issue was not at all the faucet. I would have wasted time contacting a customer support team at a large company to see if they would replace a faucet that’s over 10 years old and purchased by the previous owner.

As another reviewer said, they are inefficient. The plumber in my case also left tools in the car and took time to go down all our stairs, walk the block to his car and come back up the stairs (they charge by the hour). I paid just under $600 for our small tankless water heater to be flushed (part of the fee was diagnostic). I regret every penny (and it was a lot more than it should have been) I gave this company. Now I’m paying a new plumber to replace the tankless water heater.

Anyways, I hope to save someone else the headache (and loads of money) of working with them. I’m shocked they are still in business. Incredibly unprofessional and ineffective. Please, do not give them your business!

We’ve been using this business for several years, and they always get the job done! Most recently, Chuck came out to help with an issue that ended up being more complicated than expected — but he handled it quickly and thoroughly. As a longtime KB local, his knowledge of the community and older apt buildings (ours was built in the '70s) is such an asset. Pamela, who manages the office, was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, responsive, and got us an appointment the very next day. Outstanding service all around. Highly recommend!

I worked with Tompkins Construction on several different home improvement projects ranging from full renovations of bathrooms, improvements to the kitchen, new flooring, new lighting, custom carpentry work, painting, etc. Will is very knowledgeable. He answered all questions and gave great suggestions. He worked well with the subs to keep the projects on schedule. Highly recommended and look forward to working with Tompkins Construction on future projects.

Will Tompkins and his team handled a complete renovation of our high=end residential condo unit from assistance in design and complete demolition (slab to slab and demising wall to demising wall) to the installation of new walls, ceilings, floors, trim, cabinetry, and electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, all without any issues that were not quickly resolved and with us being off-site. Will made the decisions that I would have made if on site, and the project reflects the attention to detail of someone who knows what they should do and cares. I have no reservations to recommend Will and his firm and will definitely employ Tompkins Construction in our future construction projects.
