Work was completed but not to the estimate and extremely over priced. First (and last) time using AC Guys of Tampa Bay.

Ended up replacing my thermostat. $492 to install a $75 thermostat, that’s a 656% markup. It is not even a programmable one. Reality is they buy them in bulk so the per unit price is less then $75 and the Markup is more then 656%. I hate to know what it would cost to install a higher end thermostat.

Other work was completed that I find questionable of if it was really required. i.e. some rewiring that has been working just fine for yrs and now it was all of a sudden wrong.

I was not home to manage this work so I feel my family was taken advantage of. I use Climate Control AC and Heat for 15yrs, the owner retired and AC Guys of Tampabay took them over. Prices were never like this and I never felt I was being taken advantage of. It’s a shame I don’t feel this is a honest company to work with.

Antonio was kind, thorough & knowledgeable.
I paid $200. MORE than I usually pay to have my line flushed. These guys are expensive & overpriced. Getting an appointment was easy & they came out the same day I called for service.

AC Guy of Tampa Bay provided excellent service! Their availability was great and scheduling was quick and easy. Technician Chris Morris went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of properly. They will definitely be my go-to for any HVAC needs!

Great service. Representative Brad on phone was super friendly and courteous. He had the best attitude of the 5 companies that I called. Our AC stopped working the middle of gbd night after recording breaking temperature of 100 degrees in Tampa, FL. They put me on the schedule for a evening appointment but was called 15 minutes later by Technician that they could come out in a 1/2 hour. Antonio our tech was very nice, checked out the unit, told us what was wrong. He had the parts we needed and gave options and what we could do. He had us up and cooling down within an hour. My husband and I are very happy with the service provided and how quickly there were able to come out and fix our AC. I would highly recommend this company. A+

Chris Morris was excellent!! It was the most comprehensive AC maintenance service I've ever had. He cleaned everything. He explained everything he was doing and why. He was extremely thorough, very professional, and very polite. I highly recommend this company and especially Chris Morris.

Very good job. Daniel was very nice and knowledgeable. I asked Daniel if there is anything I could do to help my efficiency?
He showed me the coils in the compressor and how dirty they were. So I’m cleaning them this afternoon.

Called about system being down and a few hours later Chris notified us he was on his way. He diagnosed and explained the remedy and cost and did the repair. Timely and friendly service from Chris. Thank you.

I had both the heat pump and the the air handler replaced at a great price relative to others without anything being compromised. The installation, which took about half a day, started two days after the initial inspection and price quote. The system is working fine and I will definitely have it maintained by The A/C Guy team.

Ben was awesome, when our ac went out last night I called first thing this morning and he came right out within a great time frame and fixed it on a Sunday Memorial day weekend. He was so nice and was able to clarify all of my and my dad's questions. After weeks of dealing with serious air quality issues (my CO₂ levels were sky-high and we were literally feeling sick in our own home), Daniel came to the rescue like a true superhero. Within minutes, he uncovered what the other company not only missed — but actually pretended to have done correctly. They had installed a larger unit without warning me that my existing ductwork couldn’t handle it, and even worse, they claimed they wired it for two-stage cooling when they never ran the proper thermostat lines at all.

Daniel immediately explained everything clearly, honestly, and with real expertise. No confusion, no upselling, just smart problem-solving that made total sense.

Then came Alfredo and the rest of the installation crew, who were absolute rockstars. They replaced every inch of ductwork, installed a brand-new ERV system, and treated my home with care, precision, and pride. Alfredo worked tirelessly and was so professional — it’s rare to see that level of dedication these days. The rest of the team was just as fantastic (and somehow managed to keep me laughing through the chaos!).

Now? My house feels completely transformed. The air is clean and fresh, my CO₂ levels are finally stable and healthy, and every room feels balanced and comfortable. It’s honestly like breathing in a brand-new home.

This was the best experience I've ever had with an AC company. Alfredo, Matheus, and Ryan were professional and had a positive attitude. They replaced my whole sytem and added new duct work on one of the hottest days in Florida and never complained...always smiling.
