Excellent, professional and honest. This company is the one to use for your pool repairs. There are so many companies trying to drain your pockets to make a big profit off of your pool repair needs. Not at Doc Dean pools Mike and Amanda are professional and make sure you are taking care of. Our pool pump was going out. Mike came out and knew exactly what was wrong and explained what needed to be fixed and how he was going to repair the issue. Mike had the issue fixed within a day and we are so happy with the quality of work. Amanda handles the office and paperwork and listens to you, she doesn’t try to hurry you along and get you off the phone she gets the details and makes sure your issue is heard. I would highly recommend them for any of your pool needs.

I recently had the folks at Doc Dean Pools come out to my rental property to resurface and retile my pool. They did an incredible job transforming an outdated (and green) pool to like new condition. They were the only company that would visit the pool daily to ensure the chemistry in the pool was accurate and that the surface was brushed consistently. Everyone else either said it was the owner's responsibility or charged an arm and a leg to do it. There was a minor issue that happened with their subcontractors, but Amanda & the Doc Dean Pools team quickly addressed it and remedied the situation to ensure my complete satisfaction. They also repiped my pool equipment, put down a new concrete pad, and set up a fantastic water fixture that makes the property look modern. I now use them on a weekly basis to visit the pool based off their reliability. As a rental property owner, that's the one thing I always look for. I would definitely recommend these folks to anyone looking for resurfacing of their pool, pool maintenance, or pool equipment.

I had Doc Dean's resurface and retile my pool in April-May 2025. I am giving three stars because I am happy with the finished product but I don't think I would use this company again. They took almost four weeks to do a job that should have taken two weeks at most and there were delays and setbacks from day one. Ironically, the part of the job that was most timely and efficient was subcontracted out and done by another company-that being the surface demo, surface prep, and pouring and troweling the new surface in. This work took only 3 days to complete. The tiling portion of this job was another story. One of the co-owners does all the tile work by himself and his schedule is always hit or miss. The other co-owner handles the phone work and scheduling. It became a pattern early on that the scheduler would call me in the morning to tell me that the tiler would not be there at the time he told me he would, or wouldn't be showing up at all on days he assured me he would be working. This happened many times and I had to have some very uncomfortable conversations with the scheduler just to get the tiler to show up. By the end of the job, I decided to communicate only through text and email so I wouldn't have to speak with anyone over the phone again. The cherry on top was when I asked for them to leave me with the extra tile from the job and I was told that it didn't belong to me. It was only the tile that I picked out and was purchased with the money I paid them. I am not sure what use they have for it but the thought of them profiting off my extra pool tile for some hypothetical future repair job or resale is frustrating. If you use this company, you may want to press them to be upfront and honest with you about how long the job will take, how many workers there will be, and what the schedule will be. Oh, and if you are retiling, have them write into the contract that you get to keep the extra tile they don't use.

I called them for a quote. First they never show up or called. When I called back next day they just gave me a BS excuse. Then when the guy showed up, he took the measurements but wrote nothing down and over measured like I did not already know my measurements. Then I never heard back from them. And each time I call back it was always a new BS excuse. If I did not know better I would definitely say that those people a very unprofessional with no regards. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Trash, overcharging company. First service around, fat old dude with an attitude shows up. Came by for a quote and charged $160 a month, and after we dumped these people, we immediately found another service that provides same cleaning at $85 a month.

Pool services are a dime a dozen, don't waste your time with these overpriced clowns. Good riddance

Very disappointed in the overall service. The weekly pool service would not Clean properly and Vacuum the Pool unless asked, and even then would not do it. Paid for pool repairs for them never to be finished but got Charged.
    Do not use this company.

The communication from Doc Dean's is inconsistent and unprofessional. The pool service is subpar.

When I called for an initial quote, I was told it would be $130 maximum. They show up to give me a quote and tell me it's going to be $140. They sounded like a professionally company who I could trust, so I tried them.

They were supposed to send reports weekly, but I was lucky if I got them every other week. Within the first month and a half my pool was blooming with algae. The chlorine levels on the reports they were sending me always said zero. When I called them on it, they said they would figure it out, which took two more weeks because they still only came once a week.

The person who was supposed to take care of the pool either quit or was fired, but I never received any communication about it. No one came that Friday to do the work he was supposed to do, and they said someone would be out the upcoming Friday, meaning my pool was going to be untouched for two weeks. No thanks.

Absolutely terrible experience with Doc Dean’s Pool I had a 10:00 am appointment Monday morning. No one showed no one called no update at 10:15. I reached out. By email Amanda said they were running late . and should arrive around noon noon came and went still. No one I gave them my number and asked for a call with an update nothing.

What makes us even worse Is they are literally less than half a mile away and all they had to do was look at a pool light to assess a replacement pool light replacement typically cost around $3000 yet they couldn’t even respect the appointment time or bother to communicate. That’s just poor planning and zero regard for the customer by 1205. I called the store to address the complete lack of communication and Customer Service and instead of apologising or trying to fix the situation the owner Amanda hung up on me .
that says everything you need to know about how this business treats his customers if you value your time money and basic respect avoid this company
