This Home Depot is located directly across the street from Orange Park mall. The shopping center on this side of the road doesn't appear to get a lot of traffic other than that which occurs at Home Depot. This store needs a bit of a refresh but offers essentially the same thing as most other stores in the Home Depot brand.

I think their garden center is better than most and the staff is definitely friendlier than the ones at the location in Oakleaf. Most of the staff don't really have an expertise in the areas they work in but try to offer helpful advice in finding products.

Overall a decent store with a large variety of goods for home projects.

Pro-tip: You can rent Penske trucks and other equipment from this location.

I parked at the Garden Center and went in to find a particular plant. It was located in the shaded area and not directly outside. I entered at 7PM, said hello to the cashier and was 10 feet from the register at 7:20PM. A management staff member named Vanessa stood and looked at me, turned around and locked the gates. By this time I was at the register and she snarkily said to me, this is closed you have to go inside. I asked what time the Garden Center closes and she said, "Oh, whenever we decide, usually between 7:30 & 8PM. I looked at my watch and said, "It's only 7:20PM" to which she replied, well, no customers were out here so I closed the gates. I said, "Well, I was out here." She then said, "You'll have to check out in the front." I said, "Thanks for making me walk all the way around since I'm parked right outside the door." She then proceeded to walk behind me on the way inside snickering with the cashier. My point is, this woman saw me 10 feet from the register and turned around and locked the gate on me when she very easily could've stood there while I purchased 1 plant. The cashier didn't even close her register until we started our conversation. This woman acted like she was on some kind of a power trip. My tip to her: Keep treating customers this way and pretty soon, you won't be making sales....no customers, no job. Learn how to treat people respectfully.
