ProTeam Property

I hired ProTeam Properties to do some interior painting at my house in Orlando, Florida. I met the owner of the company (Keith Smith) at my house. He quoted me a price and I notified him they had won the job, and let the other bidders know I was going with another company. I also met the painter (Ted Buechele) several weeks ago to walk him through the job. I had several phone and text communications with the painter in the time leading up to the work. He had me do a number of things in advance to make their job easier, such as taking down all the blinds and window treatments, moving all the furniture away from the walls, emptying all the closest, etc.

On the day the work was to start, the painter shows up and informs me the price that was quoted was too low and he needed a significant amount of additional money ($5,000-$6,000) beyond what we had agreed on. I told him we had agreed on a price and I was not willing to spend so much more, which by the way was a lot more than the competing bids. He walked off the job and refused to honor our agreement. My house was in total disarray because of all I did to prepare for a painting that didn’t happen.

On the day the painter walked off the job, I posted a negative review of the company and thought that was going to be the end of it. However, the day after I wrote my review of ProTeam Properties, a company representative reached out to me. They informed me that the painter (Ted Buechele) did not have authorization to renegotiate the price of the painting. She offered to have a different crew out the following day to do the painting and they would honor the original price estimate. The company was trying to make things right and I really appreciated their contacting me. Also, the fact that they could get a new team out to do the work so quickly was a big help as it meant that the house would be in disarray for a much shorter time. I accepted their offer and the team lead by Brett and John started the next day. They worked hard for 3 days and did a very good job. Brett came back the 4th day, which was a Saturday, on his own time and spent the better part of a day completing the final touch up work which really made the work shine.

It's not often that a company does something like this to make a bad experience into a good one. Given this, I would recommend ProTeam Properties as they stood by their original price estimate and did an excellent job. My characterization of the company and the owner that I wrote in the first review was incorrect and I’m sorry that I made that conclusion. ProTeam Properties, Keith Smith and Brett and John and their painting crew are good people who will treat you right and do excellent work. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because of the experience with the initial painter.

After realizing that I had no idea where to start with a bathroom remodel, I met with ProTeam staff and began reviewing a structural plan. Marcus came in as my project began, and could not have been more helpful. He guided me through tile choices, vanity referrals and options, lighting ideas, shower reconfigurations, etc. Aside from his knowledge of construction, he went over and above in maintaining open communication. If he said something was going to take place on a certain day and there was a change, I would receive a timely text or call advising me of the change. He would also follow up on any work done on a regular basis, and if not up to his expectations, he would make it right. These things were invaluable to me, and much appreciated!

Amazing experience with Proteam on the renovation of my condo. Due to some commitments and travel we needed to move in our condo by a certain date and Proteam worked diligently to make it happen within 3 months. Complete renovation meaning we took it down to the studs and replaced plumbing electrical and flooring. The owner and management team were always available professional and honest. They answered my emails and texts timely. We both worked to keep lines of communication open so there were no misunderstandings. . The work crews at the condo were timely, polite and attentive to details - cleaning up at end of day. We really enjoyed the process and working with them. I would highly recommend!!
