My home required a total re-plumb after multiple pinhole leaks were found in the copper pipes, it looked like some areas were already repaired at some point which is why we decided to just go with totally replacing the plumbing, we were prepared for a range of quotes from providers.

After meeting with multiple plumbing companies we decided to move forward with Emerald, best decision & definitely an optimal outcome. Darren completed the initial inspection, we were given options including but not limited to a total re-plumbing, no high pressure sales, the decisions were left to us. Once we decided & chose a date, everything from scheduling to the permit process was a breeze. Emerald confirms the date & the crew shows up to do what they need to do as agreed. I work remotely & this didn’t disrupt our day at all, took a few hours with minimal noise. The crew was kind, courteous & walked us through their work when they were done, the best part is that drywall repair is included in the quote so once the pipes were in I got a call within a day from the drywall contact & it was the same when they came in, very courteous people & they did a nice job on the drywall, all we had to do was paint.

The whole experience was the definition of white glove service, quality work & precise communication from nice people that aren’t looking to pressure you. Anything goes wrong with my plumbing, big or small I’m definitely giving them a call, they earned the 5 star review.

Long Post from a very satisfied customer!

Our house was built in 1956; we purchased it in 1993. Our long-time plumber said the copper was paper thin and strongly recommended that we re-pipe the house. At that time, Polybutylene was “the next big thing”. We had him replace the water system and all was well. Fast forward to 2020. We had our home inspected in early May in anticipation of changing our Homeowner’s policy. We hired an inspector who said our Polybutylene was no longer “insurable” and if we were contemplating selling our house, lenders would balk or deny loans because of the piping. The inspector spoke from experience, having had to replace it in his own home.

I went to Google and looked for plumbers that did re-piping. The thoroughness of Emerald Plumbing’s re-pipe portion of their website was very convincing; I called them and the next day, Darren arrived, did a walk-through and gave us an estimate. It was apparent that he’d “been there and done that”. He explained the entire procedure in detail: one day to do the re-pipe and the next to replace the drywall including matching the textured finish.

On May 5th, the crew arrived and jumped on it, laying out canvas painter’s cloths wherever work or traffic demanded.

Along with re-piping, here’s what they replaced:
    3 hose bibs
Connections and valves for the water heater
Connections and valves for the washing machine including a new box and new hoses
All hot and cold water valves under the bathroom and kitchen sinks and dishwasher
    2 shower valves
Both water supply valves for the two toilets

The water was turned off for about 3 hours. When all the connections and other assorted tasks were completed, Eoghan hooked up and air compressor and ran it up to 100psi for twenty minutes; he had me witness this. When no pressure loss was experienced, they turned the water back on. WOOT! We were back in business.

Kenneth Mills Drywall sent 2 artists the next morning. They matched the texture on the walls perfectly. Leonardo Da Vinci would be proud of them.

I want to thank the crew that performed the work:
    Office Personnel: Myrna and Ramona
    Estimator: Darren
Crew: Eoghan, Roger, Dan, Jimmy and Robbie

We are in the middle of a kitchen reno and I called them out to hook up our sink and faucet temporarily on plywood while we were waiting several weeks for our countertops. Marc was extremely condescending and immediately said “no- call me when the counters are here”. I also asked him what it would take and how much it would cost to add a line for a potfiller. Without even looking he said “it would be too complicated and I’m not doing that today”. I was in no way asking him to do all of that in one day. I was simply asking for a quote. I’m not sure if the issue was lack of knowledge or laziness. We had a new plumber out the following day who within 4 hours had gotten our sink hooked up and ran a line for a potfiller! Definitely wouldn’t recommend emerald!
