Your technician, Ray, arrived at the designated time, with a smile on his face, and a friendly attitude. I explained to him that the water heater did not have any hot water coming out of it at all. He went about checking the wiring, etc. and then went to the breaker panel where he actually found that the breaker was only giving out 120 volts instead of 240 volts. He suggested calling back the electrician to install the correct voltage breaker. I did just that, and Ray was right! Now, the water heater is working well, thanks to my li'l Ray of sunshine!

Pompa Plumbing has come to my house twice after being assigned by Rheem to do some warranty work on my hot water heater. Both times, they have been professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and have done a great job. Dan has been our technician, and he works quickly and quietly (I work from home and my office is just across the hall from my laundry room, where my hot water tank is located), and I barely even heard him. He explained to me what was wrong in a concise and understandable manner. What I appreciate the most is that they show up when they say they will, which is so rare these days. 10/10 would highly recommend this company!

Reynaldo, was wonderful throughout the process. He was able to diagnose and repair the issue with my new Rheem hot water heater. A leak sensor wire and then the computer panel were replaced. Thank you for your perseverance, patience and understanding.

I recently had quite a journey with Pompa Plumbing while trying to get my A.O. Smith water heater repaired, and I wanted to share an honest review of my experience.

First and foremost, the staff at Pompa is genuinely friendly and helpful. Every tech I interacted with was courteous, and the technician who finally resolved the issue was excellent. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and took his time to make sure everything was running properly. His professionalism stood out and truly made the final appointment feel worth the wait.

However, the process to get to that point was frustrating. It took nearly three weeks 6/10 (first contact —- 6/30 (issue resolved) and it took multiple visits to finally get the water heater fixed. Since A.O. Smith only partners with Pompa Plumbing in my area, I didn’t have the option to shop around or call another company, which made the delays even more stressful, especially because my tenants were without hot water during this entire process.

The first technician simply reset the breaker and told me the heater was fine. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. I had to call again the very next day to report that the issue remained. When the second appointment was scheduled, the tech ran out of gas on the way to my property and had already been 30 minutes late. That visit had to be pushed to the following week, further delaying the repair. The third visit was when they informed my tenants that parts were needed, but I was never contacted. I only found out what was going on after I called the company myself a week later.

At that point, I was told the unit needed to be replaced. Because it was under warranty, I assumed that would make things easier and less expensive. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The total amount I paid for labor alone was almost $1000 (for diagnostic & replacement) between two invoices which was almost double what a brand-new unit costs. And remember, the unit itself was still under warranty, so this was entirely LABOR.

On the final visit, which took place 20 days after I initially contacted them, the tech arrived at the house without calling first which I specifically asked them to do so I could have time to arrive. I had to rush over in heavy traffic to ensure everything would go through. Thankfully, the job got done and the new unit was installed. But the entire process (from miscommunication to scheduling issues) felt like a marathon.

In summary, Pompa Plumbing has good people, and the technicians are clearly capable, especially the one who completed the job. But they really need to improve their scheduling system and communication. If they say they’ll call you back, don’t expect that to happen. You’ll likely have to follow up yourself. If you’re assigned to them through a warranty provider like A.O. Smith, prepare for delays and keep close tabs on every step of the process.

I hope the company takes this feedback constructively. With better customer service and scheduling support, they could truly match the quality of their technicians.

Our tech Namik was awesome. We had a 3 day ordeal with getting our new water heater to work- we had 3 prior companies come out- did install, of new tank and left without it working. Came back next day and couldn’t fix it.

Pompa plumbing did a water heater replacement for me on warranty. They kept me informed all along the way. We actually even had to go get a second water heater as the first replacement one from Home Depot had a problem. The plumber stayed with it until all was done. I will use them again definitely!
