Bought a house with a whole-house generator. Saw good reviews from A.S. and wasn’t disappointed. Serviced my generator with oil check, trouble shoot, and new battery, for a reasonable price. Will use them again to serviced my generator.

Here is my review for the Installation of a new dryer circuit in my kitchen together with the box, conduit, and new breakers. I was charged over $900 ($400 of work and $500 of materials).

The good:

-Adam was on time and professional and had a very nice attitude

-Job was done successfully

-The electrical work is 100% satisfactory and safe

-Work matches the codes

The Bad:

The recommendation of Adam to do a knee level channel to allow the conduit to reach the electrical panel was a very bad idea. This would have triggered a huge amount of work and efforts (the complicated removal of the kitchen countertop and wall panel, cabinets fixation, knee level channel, wall patch, repaint, caulking etc).

I am glad I challenged him and he placed the conduit at the junction between the ceiling and the walls

That was hidden with crown molding.  Much more elegant and less challenging.

As much as the hourly rate is acceptable and reasonable ($95/hour) after the first 30 minutes ($95). Cost of materials was about$500. I am sad to see that inflation has become the best explanation to raise everything dramatically. I had to pay $200 for 40 feet of ½ conduit. Cheaper prices can be find on amazon or ebay. You would assume that it would cost less when a professional buys it in bulk but actually it’s the opposite. I would pass on the fact that if I try to measure 40 feet, I will be much closer to 25 feet. Anyway, full and above the standard price was charged for materials. If I had to buy the material myself, I would have saved a few hundreds.

Conclusion:

If you assume that by paying the time, you will cover most of the cost, think twice! Basic electrical products  (wires, conduit, box etc) can be more expensive than the labour.

Don’t hesitate to challenge experts and never assume that their solution is the best!

Adam is the best! My HUGE 15 foot storefront sign was not lighting up. I called Adam and he came out right away. Turns out that it was a small fix but the way the sign company had installed the sign... the small part was not easily accessible without REMOVING THE ENTIRE SIGN from my storefront!! This would be a HUGE job involving a bucket truck and several workers. Adam crawled into the small space behind the sign and was able to make a hole in the wall to get to the part ... so I wouldn't need to take the entire 15 foot sign down. That small space was about 120 degrees in mid July Florida heat. Any other electrician would have told me to call the sign company to take the sign down so he could access the part... but not Adam... he worked out the problem and got my sign working. He saved me a ton of money and a huge headache! Call Adam now for all of your electrical needs. He's super knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy and just AWESOME!!

I asked many friends if they had an electrician they knew who could do a great job at a reasonable price. Some gave me the name of a handy man which didn’t seem like the right way to go. After more canvasing the name of A.S. Electric kept showing up. Adam, the owner just completed electrical work I’ve needed for some time. He did a great job efficiently and at a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend A.S. Electric for the most complex project or even a simple project.

We are handling the sale of a condo from out of state and cannot be happier to have hired AS Electric to handle all the electrical issues arising from the inspection. From permits, to an honest estimate, to being efficient and organized, hiring Adam became the easiest and best part of the project. I highly recommend Adam and AS Electric for all electrical issues especially if you are out of state which can be very difficult to manage. This was the easiest part. I highly recommend them

It's not often that you find a company in the trades that is professional, efficient, and priced reasonably! A.S. Electric is all three. Adam and his team were super responsive, reasonably priced, got the job done quickly and efficiently, and were willing to work around my crazy schedule. Half my outlets stopped working one day and I had no clue why. Called in an electrician and they figured it out fast—it was a bad breaker. Swapped it out and even tightened a few wires in the panel just to be safe. Super professional and explained stuff so I could actually understand it. Took maybe an hour total. Price was fair and they didn’t try to add any extras. Felt way safer afterward knowing it was all fixed right. If I ever need electrical work again, I’m definitely calling them back. Good service and they knew their stuff.

I reached out for an Electrician back in December '24 to have my panel replaced and I went with A.S. Electric, Inc. It was a pleasure doing business with them, and I mean it.

The ladies I spoke with had great communication and kept me in the loop, and Adam is a hero. I needed extra work done to get ready for inspection, and he also did everything I wanted. He even showed me some things that would have been a red flag and fixed them.

I heard the inspector was rough around the edges about my remodel but at the end of the day Adam handled it and I passed both inspections on the first attempt. 🙏🏽

I have more work to do and will be calling them. Their estimates are extremely detailed and the pricing is competitive. Honestly, I feel lucky I found them. I checked them out on the DBPR and they are registered and legit. 👍🏽

On time, hard-working, knowledgeable, fast and accurate doesn't deviate from the estimate cost highly recommended. Has good ideas things out of the box solution oriented.

Horrible company, changed my panel a couple years ago, was getting a whole house generator installed today and they found spliced wires at main breaker from their so called “permitted” breaker panel job. New wires had to be ran to interior breaker as a result of their hack work. More like A S S Electric. Also left a big mess in the wall and eave when chipping out for new breaker and piping.
