I’m late to add my review, but I had to write a review to recommend Matt and his team for the work they did. I had an above ground pool that was broken and an eyesore at my property. When I made the appointment, I had no idea what I even wanted. Matt took his time to go over ideas, and eventually came to the decision on having it removed and replaced with a pavered patio space. It came out great, and they did a lot of work in the two days they were here. Matt and his team will do awesome work if you book them, at reasonable prices (I had quotes to take out and fill the whole with first for not much less than this costs). Get your project done with them, you won’t regret it

Tampa Hardscapes / Matt Rochelle: Absolute Perfection!

I have completely renovated our home from the inside out. Floor to ceiling, front yard, backyard, roof, doors, windows, swimming pool, landscaping, the whole thing. I have worked with a lot of contractors, a lot! Some very good and others very bad. But Matt Rochelle and his team at Tampa Hardscapes are in a category entirely their own. You can stop reading here and just hire Matt. He will do a great job, no doubt.

What they created on my property is a work of art. It took my house from cute to WOW. From the street, a grand-scale paver installation featuring two distinct paver patterns and tones. The details are pure craftsmanship. The aerial shots look like something out of a magazine! (Note: the drone images show a tanner tone than the actual color — see the street-level shots for color accuracy. These are Flagstone pavers in the charcoal/white/tan Heritage collection with Freedom band and accent pavers.)

Structurally, my house sits at nearly the lowest point on the property, so water has always been a real concern. We already had an elaborate drainage system under the surface, but Matt went even further, he designed a repitched driveway to direct water toward the retaining ditch at the street, and built up the front so the walkway now slopes away from my front door. He made it work!

Patrick led the crew on-site and the execution was flawless. Every line is clean. Every curve is intentional. The circular raised planting beds framed in hand-laid stacked stone retaining walls flow seamlessly into the paver layout. Matt is a landscape design architect extraordinaire and Patrick a master craftsman.

Here is what set them apart beyond the finished product: they showed up on time, every day. They worked hard every day. They kept the job site clean throughout the entire project. And this tells you everything you need to know about their work... They spent hours just walking the front of my property examining every detail to make sure it was perfect. AND THEN Matt handed me a stick of chalk and told me to mark anything, any tiny detail I wasn't completely happy with, and they would take care of it. No pushback. No excuses. Just done. That kind of accountability and pride in their craft is so very rare and appreciated!

The scale of this project was enormous. From the drone shots you can see just how cohesive and thoughtfully planned the entire layout is across the full property. They worked fast without sacrificing quality…. gorgeous results, hardworking team, seamless experience from start to finish.
