Mr. Pope stayed within his estimate and very swiftly got the job done. We have used them several times before and the workmanship was always very good.

Moved into a new home recently and found that the water meter was spinning; there was a leak somewhere. I searched Google and Yelp reviews and came across Pope Plumbing so thought I'd give them a try. I called on a Friday and they told me they could come out the following Monday morning between 8 and 12 and would call 30 minutes ahead of time. Up until this point, everything was fine.

Monday comes around and by 11:30 no call. I call him and he says he's in Windermere and would be here as soon as he could; it was almost 1:00 when he got here. After a quick look, he determines there is a leaking pipe around the driveway. He quoted me $500-1,000 to fix the pipe, depending on how much work it would take. He said to call him and let him know if I wanted to proceed and that he would drop his helper off in the morning to start digging. Still at this point, the quote was less than I was expecting so I was happy; I called him and left a voicemail (for him and his assistant in the office) saying to go ahead and do it, to drop his helper off in the morning.

The next morning, nobody comes. I call at 10:00 and ask where they are. "Oh he's at another job right now but I'll see if he can get over this afternoon." What happened to dropping off the helper to get started? He did end doing that, around 11:00 finally. I come home on my lunch break (1:00 pm) to find the helper lying down in the driveway. When I ask him what's going on, he says he found the leak a while ago and that it's not under the driveway after all, it's right next to the driveway, so he didn't have to do a lot of digging. He was waiting on his boss to bring a part to fix the leak. When I called his boss and ask where he is, he says cluelessly "I guess he found a leak or something." I respond "Yes, he did find a leak, are you coming to fix it?" He gets there an hour later. After less than an hour of work, the simple leak is fixed.

Seeing as how a pipe did not have to be replaced under the driveway as he told me, I'm thinking this is going to cost way less than $500. An hour max of digging and 20 minutes to fix the leak. He charges me $400.

So not only was he late on both days, and seemingly clueless each time I talked to him, he overcharged me purely based on my zip code and didn't have the decency to even call me himself. He instead made his assistant in the office break the news that he was overcharging me.

I go to leave a check for the amount he requested and when I get to the facility, there are 2 doors: one garage door that says "delivery only" and the other entry door had a pad lock on it. After wasting several minutes trying to figure out how to get in there, the garage door opens and the assistant comes out of her office. She was nice; she had a receipt ready for me and accepted the check. I close the office door on my way out, and the door handle flies off, to which she says "oh don't worry, it wasn't put on properly, that happens all the time."

Overall NOT a good experience and I would definitely NOT recommend them!

Good communication, expedient response time and courteous service. So glad to have found them and they'll definitely be our go-to in the future. Gary arrived on time and called ahead when he was on the way. He was very honest and straight-forward about what I needed. I don't look forward to having plumbing issues, but I'm glad I know who to call if I ever do.

Very pleased with professionalism, punctuality and quality of work. I will be using again soon to replace water heater. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a plumber.

Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They don’t answer their phone, and when they do and agree on a time they are late (twice). The biggest issue is that they come and give their diagnosis and quote, write on the receipt what needs to be done but to the warranty company they said something completely different.

Seems they just want to take money directly from the customer because the amounts the warranty pays are capped.

Save yourselves the trouble and go with a more honest and transparent company.

They were great, came out the next day after I called them. Happy to say I have a new water heater. Never without hot water. Thank you Pope plumbing
