Our very tall live oak was taken down safely and very skilfully by James and his crew. We recommend his tree cutting services. We chose to leave the stump for the squirrels that we feed, to sit on, but he would have completed the stump grinding for a combined reasonable price.

They did a great job. Wife loves it and we have been getting compliments from the neighbors. I feel the price was very competitive and the communication was great. Would highly recommend.

I have used James for tree work for several years and never had a problem, other than some after the work is completed price haggling by him wanting more than initially agreed. In January 2025, he came to grind some stumps after doing some tree work. There was a bamboo stump that was less than 4 feet from my eight zone irrigation manifold, which is the heart of the irrigation system. He went too far out of the radius of the stump and literally destroyed my entire irrigation system. I had just paid $4K to have the irrigation system revamped last May, seven months prior. We didn't have a signed contract, so he's not relieved of any responsibility. He agreed to have it repaired by someone he knows either personally or professionally. Here I am, nine months later and the repair is still not complete. Many, many, many empty promises were made to get it done, but it's still incomplete. My property looks horrible because it's so dry. Unfortunately, I won't be using or recommending James or his company. The first photo is from January 2025, the second is April 2025. James are you going to make the repair as promised? I attached our text conversation where you promised just that.

These guys were phenomenal. They were prompt and came out straight away to bid and send proposal. It was detailed and broken out in a way that was super easy to understand and the price was really extremely fair. They made suggestions and were extremely knowledgable about all the plants on the property and helped us decide what to keep and what to take out. Then the scheduled. When i came home from work, i was blown away, they had done everything i had imagined and more leaving the yard looking like a different house. So incredibly impressed with this company.

LOVED THIS COMPANY!! After 3 storms last year, we decided to remove 3 slash pines that were starting to lean heavily towards our pool cage and our neighbors. I had recently joined Sarasota Word of Mouth and looked up reviews for good companies. I started picking out ones with multiple good reviews and waited to see who got back in touch with me. I had 4 companies quote the job, but Elite Quality Tree & Stump Grinding (James West) was the most expedient in getting back to us and providing us a quote on the spot. After he left, he sent me his license and certificate of insurance – so professional! He told us on the Friday he came and gave us a quote that he could do the job the following Friday. He showed up as promised and completed the job in 3 days just as he said he would. He did excellent work and even left the site pretty clean after grinding of tree debris considering all the limbs, branches, pinecones, etc. I would recommend James of Elite Quality Tree & Stump Grinding 1,000%. He and his crew were professional, courteous and did a fantastic job! If we EVER need another tree removal, he will be our guy! Forgot to mention, he also had the BEST price!

Had a huge tree in the backyard that needed trimmed and hurricane-proofed. Elite came out and man did they do the job. Not only did they take care of my tree, they also took care of my neighbor's tree. The job was done timely the cleanup was complete and we are extremely happy with the work. James and his crew were amazing! They came in significantly less than my other quotes and tackled two giant pines while navigating mine and my neighbors house. They also chipped it right back into my yard for natural mulch and even helped spread it. They came highly recommended from my family members whose him and now I will do the same and will use them for future projects!

James and his crew did a great job on a taking down a large oak tree and topping a few really high pines. Our house and roof are now safe from storms. They were priced very well compared to others. He kept in touch until the work date. We were very pleased to have to have just planted sod to cover up grinder trunk. We even got use out of the mulching they left to do a little island. Contacted James and sent him photos of my Oak tree, he sent me a Qoute which I found to be a good price. Compared to other prices I got.. he showed up with his crew and all his equipment was newer and able to to do the job correctly… I’ve hired other companies in the past at other houses and they showed up with junky and sup par equipment which one time didn’t end well James even wrote me a letter to give to my HOA to that helped me get approval. He is a Aborist . I woul Absolutely recommend Elite!!!! You won’t regret you chose them.

Excellent experience. James is very good at communicating. From the initial interaction through the completion of the work he was easy to talk to and explained everything to me. As a single woman who is a homeowner it is nice to have my "team" that I can count on and James is now one of the team! They did a great job cutting my trees and cleaning up. Way over above and beyond.
