Home Services reviews in St. Petersburg, Florida

I come to this site 4 plus times a month and some times 2 and 3 times in a day. I own a handyman and landscape business.. They are always friendly, never any issues.. I live in the north Clearwater area and never use any other facility.. The others charge you a flat 36.00 minimum, or 20.00. I can fill my boxes in 5x8 trailer for a deposit ranging from 67.00 to 80.00 my dump fee is between 8.00 to 24.00. Just love this place and it hasn't changed in years.. Thank you Pinellas county solid waste staff..

I have been going to this dump since I was 7 years old. And since then back in the day you could pay with cash check debit card or credit card. Now since covid, you can only pay with cards. They will not take checks or cash and they have weird machines that you have to pull up and pay with. I even have one employee he lifted up the machine and threatened if I didn't do it right and I broke it I would have to pay $100 for machine that's their fault because it's broken. Since then in November, now you have to buy reflector base PPE approved glasses or they simply not that you don't turn you around a refuse. I feel let down and over each of regulations has a period my business with this company. There is another brush removal place

So glad we have this place. They do a great job. Staff is very helpful & nice, & the $10 fee is fair. Covered area where you go to unload is kept clean & safe for tires.

Such a cool place... the whole process is fascinating. We've been twice to dump yard waste and random boards/construction type things. Nice workers, organized, easy process...I think it was 11$. I honestly can't wait to go back 😆. Can't believe ppl take the time to leave a bad review on a dump. But then again, yes I can.

Household chemical collections is way more difficult than it needs to be... Daily limit on items such as paint is really frustrating. If I bring paint once a year, but have multiple gallons I can only leave so much of it... I'd have to make multiple trips. It would make much more sense to have an annual limit as opposed to a daily limit (They scan your ID anyway, so this would not be hard to track)
Realize that the current setup encourages people to drop off half of their chemicals and throw the rest in the garbage rather than making an inconvenient trip back -
Open on Saturday was a winner for me. The customer service was fine. Here is something everyone should know, BRING YOUR OWN HARDHAT OR YOU HAVE TO BUY THEIRS TO ENTER! NON-NEGOTIABLE. Other than that it was about as good as a trip to the landfill can be, right?

The reason for this rating is due to the citizens of Pinellas county just had a hurricane and they're trying to charge $29 for a hard hat and a vest just to go into your yard waste. I have a problem with people trying to make money off someone's hard times, so sad...

I have been to all the dumps in all three counties. Pinellas is by far the cleanest and best engenierd. The staff there is the friendliest I've ever seen at a facility. They greet you with a smile . The guys where you dump are super helpful and friendly
I drive miles out of my way to make this dump my main dump. Thank you all for everything you do. -
Downsizing I had lots I donated to others, some to recycle but lots of stuff no one would want or need. I took a chance and tried taking it in myself. I highly recommend. You drive in, wait for one of three gated lanes to open and drive onto a scale where a person greets you. I told them I was new, my suv load of trash was $4 (card only) . Politely they told me to just follow the blue signs to the large covered drop off. Someone directed me once there and you just back in to a spot and unload onto the ground and drive away. I went back twice. Very nice for a dump!

Great place if you like the little imp holding the number signs watch as an American flag was just ran over several times right in front of him. Of course to do anything about it he would have had to get out of his chair. What a disgrace, to many soldiers came home under that same flag for him to just sit there. The flag was retrieved by a driver from another company.

11/10 best dump I've ever taken a dump to. Got rid of a table and saw a very nice looking toilet there. Super friendly and quick process. One of the workers sounded like the hall monitor at my old high school. Would go out of my way to dump here again!

All of the workers I encountered were friendly and efficient. Seemed to be enjoying their days which is rare in most jobs. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit here again, which is an odd thing to say about a waste disposal location but it’s true.

One of the best run parts of the county. Cannot imagine what the area would look like without this invaluable service. It's rock and roll from the get go - every one there (every time I'm there) knows exactly what they are doing, and each and every one of the employees have always been extremely pleasant and helpful. I know I'd be lost without this facility and the way it operates so smoothly, and you would be too. Thank you, thank you, thank you - and please keep up the outstanding work!!

Took some old tires & scrap laying around the house. Quick & easy. They don’t accept Discover, so I had to use Cash App via Apple Pay.

Employees are lazy and rude. Took a mattress to the dump on a Saturday. it was a queen size, foam mattress and they were rushing me to unload. I am a solo female, I was going as fast as possible. They are also my neighborhood collection company and the trash men routinely leave bins behind driveways, not at the curb we’re they were left, and not even at the correct household. They’ve missed my house a couple of times, 2 weeks in a row to be exact. Also, they’ll leave trash behind if it’s beside the bin. Even if boxed and less than 5 pounds, and on the second day of service, if the trash isn’t perfectly in the bin they’ll leave in the street for wind, fast car or disgruntled passerby to disperse into the streets. Do better!

Great location with friendly staff.

Usually very good, but today was frustrating. The message says no storm debris. I'm moving and needed to throw away a few things. When I got there they said only waste trucks! Told me to just leave the trash in my yard. I get we just had a storm, but at least clarify the message on your machine!

Whomever the two men were at the residential hand unload area on Saturday 8/28 8:20am were so nice!!! It was our first time going to the waste complex so anxiety was high. Complex was great! Subaru full of fence pieces and tires $4.25.

In the midst of an emotionally and physically exhausting slog through clearing out our deceased parents' hoarder shed, my brother and I found ourselves far, far from home and in need of a way to dispose of piles upon piles of trash in an unfamiliar town. Everyone told us that using the Pinellas County dump was easy and at $11 a load, a bargain. They were too modest in describing this municipal-service gem. Highlights: This place is highly organized. It's easy to know where to go and what to do. The staff here is beyond helpful--and incredibly pleasant and friendly. Five stars for customer service alone. I can't emphasize enough how stressed out, sweaty, weary, and filthy my brother and I were when we arrived at the facility, yet everyone we interacted with treated us with kindness, respect, and even humor. We had questions, they had answers. The work/dump space itself was easy to access and efficiently run. After nearly impaling ourselves on nails and tripping over junk at the house, this turned out to be one of the safest places we worked in all week. At the end of the day, my brother and I had a long and enthusiastic conversation over a beer about how positive our experience had been at the Pinellas County Solid Waste Disposal Complex and how we felt obligated to share details of our experience here where we could sing the praises of this place and its people. From termite-riddled lumber to gallons of paint and household chemicals to the sad leftover detritus of lives long lived, everything found its final, responsible resting place, while the staff guided us in disposing of everything easily and left us feeling positive about it all. In a world of dysfunction and bureaucracy, it was a pleasant surprise to encounter such an efficiently run municipal service center.

Horrible service I came from Pasco and I was unable to unload my trash just because I’m from Pasco. I called an hour in advance, saying that I’m from Pasco to get to the location and receive the news that I can’t dump here because I’m from Pasco spoke to a supervisor And I told her if I didn’t say I’m from Pasco would you let me through? She happily said that’s a possibility horrible horrible horrible service.
