Tidal Tech helped us out with a leak detection after having our pool resurfaced. We had a jumble of plumbing and pipes at our pump left from the previous owners. Sean came out immediately to ensure our fiberglass pool did not sit empty for long. He explained exactly what was needed, the things that were immediate and what we can plan for in the future. He went above and beyond a typical leak detection. Very happy with the company and I would definitely recommend Tidal Tech.

I have left the first, original review of last fall below...Unfortunately, the hero became a buffoon. Last fall, Sean came to check our pool. Looked good at first: earphones to "listen to leaks", blue dye tests...Soon said "skimmers are leaking", but "you will have to find a company that fixes those, I don't, so I put some temporary epoxy for now...", and "I put some sealing stuff behind your lights, that should take care of it". And said he would come back "no problem" if it did not work. Well, it was soon obvious it did not work, leaking as fast as before. I texted Sean, who replied "I will stop by tomorrow"...He never showed up. I called him later in the day, he apologized profusely and started telling me about that HUGE loss he had in his family, but that he "would come in tomorrow". At this point, I said that after such a loss, he should take a week off, and I would be fine to see him a week later (I am both compassionate, AND learned to give people some rope to hang themselves after a previous year of dealing with construction people). "Sure, sure, that's nice of you, I will be there next thursday". Next week came...Sean never showed up. So I had my answer, and would not communicate with him again. So I turned around and called a REAL pool leak company, Red Rhino, who were a bit more expensive for diagnosing the problem (but I had lost $350 for nothing with Sean already); they did all the pressure tests on all the lines (something I had wanted, not done by Sean), blue dye, etc. They confirmed the skimmer issue, AND THEN COULD FIX IT (done, and I did see the mushy concrete at the base of both as the guy was fixing them); they checked the lights, saw Sean's gunk that just came floating out, and sealed them again. There was some improvement, but still there was a very significant leakage. I called them, THEY CAME BACK TWICE, retested everything for no extra cost, kept looking (they told me "we never give up"...), eventually brought a pro who found a subtle crack at the base of a light enclosure (I saw it, it was real); THEY COULD FIX IT, and did. None of the repairs was cheap, but there is NO MORE LEAKAGE NOW. So here is my recommendation: just get people who can really do the job first, from A to Z, and you will save some money in the end...A patch of epoxy and some gunk in the back of the lights may hide some problems for a while, enough for the "diagnostic warranty" to be over, but these are not real solutions. Sorry Sean, you burned yourself here. /************* For the record, here is my original review, written too early in the game after Sean was very insistent about getting a review: Sean is a super nice guy. Veni, vedi, vici. He came, he saw, he conquered (well, fixed). He was looking for a leak, watching, listening, using dye, eventually patched the lights and skimmers. HUGE improvement, if not complete resolution (still doing my bucket tests, we may need to dig a bit deeper...But from meeting Sean, I believed him when he said he would look further if needed). I am also planning to get him involved with other projects of pump, heater and panel replacements. To be continued!!! ************* Well, it WAS continued, as you can see above, and unfortunately not for the best!

The service was unbelievable reliable. Everything was done with precision. I am totally satisfied. This is one more person to go into the phonebook for somebody to go to for repairs. Great job.

Our pool had been losing a lot of water. Sean came out and ran several test and check the entire pool, pump, filter, pipes, and even put scuba gear on to check the bottoms drains. Found the leak and saved the day. Excellent work and good job.

I contacted no less than 5 pool companies. Because my pool was 20 Yrs old all five were only interested in resurfacing. They had no interest in evaluating the spots and discoloration. Tidle Tech came out and said they could acid wash my pool and that would remove 90% of stains. They were correct, I was astonished at the difference . Please see the included picture (sorry the light does not help) A definite line can be seen on the wall before and after the acid was applied. The project took two days. 1 to empty the pool, one to acid wash and refill. The cost was 1/10th what the other pool companies wanted.
Can not give Sean a stronger recommendation. Be patient as Sean works off Island Time. -
I’ve used Tidal Tech to repair leaks and paint my pool deck. They went the extra mile to make sure it was done right. The leaks are fixed and the deck looks great! I won’t hesitate to use them again.
