I have pentas from Native Nurseries from three years ago that are still going strong and are about five feet tall now (they're in a raised bed with a burlap canopy that keeps it warmer in the winter). I won't go anywhere else for the plants for my butterfly garden because I know that their plants will be hardy and healthy. And I love that things are labeled letting me know which butterflies like which plants and also which are native (which is good for a lot of reasons, but also because they're usually easier to take care of and I'm not the most conscientious gardener). I've always found the staff to be polite, friendly, and helpful.

Their supremely helpful staff will help you identify the best of their mostly (but not exclusively) native plants. The gift shop has all sorts of local/regional goods. They've got great birdseed, aromatic Christmas trees, and a wide variety of shrubs and other plants.

EXCELLENT PLACE! Everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable. There is a wide selection of trees/shrubs to choose from and you will be directed on what works best for you and your project by the amazing staff. HIGHLY recommend visiting this nursery 🪴🌲🌳🌴

Knowledgeable staff and they take time to explain. The nursery carries a wide range of native to North Florida plants. The prices are reasonable for a non chain store.

First time there. The staff was very customer friendly. The plants are well cared for. Bought several and plan to return for more. Loved the unusuals they offered and the well written info cards on each group of plants!

I can always find the best quality, native plants for my area in Florida! Everyone is helpful, and knowledgeable about the plants they sell. I have attended the Saturday workshops too! Love this place, you will too!

This was my first time at Native Nurseries, I was recommended to come there based on their prices on soil. Upon arrival I was unsure where to go and found great help from Yana. I look forward to coming back for my gardening needs.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this business - they are a wealth of knowledge and experience and are dedicated on educating their customers about proper plant care and maintenance. The giftshop is my go-to spot for creative, beautiful gifts of all ages.

An absolute restoration of faith in the type of charming customer service oriented business skills that is sorely lacking today. I found this is still available at Native Nurseries of Tallahassee. I went to two other highly recommended nursery servicies in my locale but both were utter disappointments. Neither delivered as promise. Therefore, I elected to do a major landscaping job myself. Someone recommended Native Nurseries but after the disappointing responses or lack thereof from the two other local nurseries, I gave up and did the work myself. However, someone recommended Native Nurseries for hard to find items such as herbs like Spanish thyme or culantro. I visited Native Nurseries last summer. While they were familiar with the items, they had none in stock but took my number and promised to contact me if or when they got any in stock. I pretty much felt that it was a lost cause, but low and behold nearly a year later I receive a call from Caroline at Native Nurseries that they had not only the culantro but Spanish thyme as well. She placed several items on hold for me to pick up. Caroline personally greeted me and I left armed with the long awaited herbs in hand. This single call restored my faith in a service that is truly lacking today. Thank you Native Nurseries.

This is my favorite store in Tallahassee! Lush, shady and beautiful with great selection of native plants, flowers, veggies/herbs trees pots, and gifts. I bought a couple dozen plants for a butterfly garden here and they are all doing great! Excellent selection of Christmas trees and beautiful wreaths during the season. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. Great selection of high quality birdseed and bird houses/feeders/products. Nature inspired jewelry, books, soaps and lotions, honey, kids books and gifts and so much more!

Great place with excellent variety. Highly recommend giving them a visit for any new garden project you may have.

Very pleasant little place for getting native trees. I just purchased several Loblolly pines; most other nurseries never carry pines. More people should take the time to develop an interest in native plantings and learn about the benefits to the entire ecosystem of your community. Currently they have a great selection of bare-root trees, so purchase them while they're around!

This locally-owned nursery is always an absolute pleasure to visit. The delightful people who work there are always happy to share their gardening and nature related tips and are very knowledgeable and willing to help. Wonderful lectures are held many weekends. A wonderful shopping experience!

Simply the best nursery in Leon County. They've been there for all of my gardening supply needs and questions with helpful and friendly staff ever since I started growing in 2018. Great selection, good prices, beautiful place & people. Look no further.

Wow!! What a breath of fresh air! Such a beautiful setting. The staff is so helpful too. They make their own soil, and they have an amazing selection of plants, pottery and garden sculptures and benches. The prices are really good too! I would highly recommend this place for all your gardening and yard needs. They also had a class going on with an owl from an animal rescue. 5 stars are truly earned.

Excellent nursery with very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. There were quite a lot of Florida native species available as well as a number of popular non-native species. A must-stop for anyone looking to improve their landscaping. Additionally they have a lot of stuff for bird lovers... houses, feeders, feed.

Love this place! It's refreshing to see a wide variety of native plants offered, and the property is so nice you could just hang out and spend a couple hours under the canopy of all the trees.
