This is a warning if you are looking for a JennAir certified dealer. Bottom line—they aren’t certified, I believe they fixed the wrong issue (or rather didn’t fix the root cause of the failure) which resulted in paying for a new part only to have it fail months later, and they will not guarantee the part. So I am out 600$ and now—wiser—am contacting a real service repair company whose name I received from JennAir—along with the polite advice to stay away from this company.

Now, for the long version for anyone interested.

I made the mistake of using Google and then asking if they serviced JennAir because my previous experience has been that repair services that say they service a brand are certified to service the brand. I should have known when the repair technician was here because it was not the kind of customer service I have been used to receiving and when there were extra parts left on the counter and I contacted the company, no one ever returned my call.

Basically, they told me I had a control box issue, ordered and installed a new one for 600$ at the end of November 2025. Now, mid March I am getting the same error. When I called I was told they would send a repair person —give me a 20$ discount for being a return customer. I pointed out that I was calling on the failure of a part that they installed less than 6 months ago. I was told they only guaranteed service not parts, that it was « last year », and the reason they didn’t guarantee parts was because they bought them regionally. I called JennAir who confirmed there is a 1-year warranty but only if it is actually a part purchased from a reputable place that sells JennAir parts because this part could have been used, or already malfunctioning, etc.

On top of this I don’t think the problem was ever the control box. I told the technician that I thought the short was because of all the unusual excess condensation coming from the oven. He told me that was not an issue. Now, as I am getting the same short error—it is accompanied by the same excess condensation. I believe, and when I speak with real repair people I believe it will be confirmed that this was the issue that needed to be fixed and the faulty box was a result of this.

So, basically, fail all around. Please go elsewhere. I could just cry. Don’t let this happen to you.

EDIT: To respond to the company’s response. It doesn’t matter how much experience you may have with a brand like JennAir. You’re either a certified service company or you’re not. You list Whirlpool as a brand you service, but you are not certified with them either. (I talked to both JennAir and Whirlpool who owns them and they looked you up). You don’t say that you are certified for either brand on your website so my bad—just trying to warn others before they make the same mistake. The difference is that JennAir has a 6-month warranty on all parts. But not ones not purchased and installed by a certified dealer. So that is a big 600$ difference between certified and “we have a lot of experience”. As far as why the part failed, I agree —it’s not the part. I’m sure when the certified technician comes out he’ll find a root cause that wasn’t uncovered and addressed. And that, is service—not parts. But, don’t worry. I don’t expect anything else from you. The person on the phone said someone from management would call me—they never did. I’m just chalking this up to a learning, albeit expensive, experience.
