Independent Tree is on time, professional and did a great job as always. Curtis was the foreman and the crew did a great job.

Marti, Damien and the rest of the crew were very knowledgeable, respectful and super helpful with my concerns. A job well done! Cleanup was excellent. And Christi in the office responded in a very timely manner. Great company!

We’ve had two occasions where we consulted with Jordan Upcavage regarding trees on our property. He correctly predicted and identified why our palm would soon die and separately assured us that our Grand Oak was healthy and balanced, after it was cut on one side by a neighbor. Also gave sound advice regarding code violation reporting and the benefits of positive neighbor relations. He is a professional in every sense. If you are passionate about your trees, Independent Tree will match your enthusiasm.

Independent Tree Service pruned the grand oaks in my yard. They were meticulous about exactly which branches to trim! Chris, Corey, and Jake were friendly, efficient, and tidy! They cleaned as they went along. They talked to me and explained everything they were doing. My trees were pruned nicely, and you'd never know they were here! Excellent work, and I'd gladly call them again!

Proprietor Jerry met with me at length to provide a detailed estimate of costs and procedures for the work requested. He outlined specifically how many branches and limbs overhanging my roof would be pruned. We set a date for several weeks out because they are quite busy. The team arrived promptly and proved to be efficient, courteous and professional. Austin was my crew foreman and he took extra care to avoid damage to the skylight over my bathroom since a limb broke it previously and I had to have a roofer replace it. The crew cleaned up the debris meticulously and a truck came by at completion to remove all traces of debris from the property. I highly recommend this company for your tree needs. Jerry’s daughter works in the office and she is very pleasant to work with regarding scheduling.

If I could give them a 6-7 star rating, I would. I have used them for years. Chris and the guys are always on-time and professional. They use modern equipment and it's obviously well maintained. Today they removed a large laurel oak with the aid of a crane to avoid damage to my neighbor's property and a 12'x24' cabin of ours that is about 100 years old. A++

Independent Tree Service is my go to company and who I refer everybody to. Marti, Christi, Sergio and the whole team, all work professionally and quickly doing an amazing job at a very fair rate. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They really care about what they do.

These guys trimmed several Oaks for me in Beach Park in preparation for hurricane season. Marti gave a timely and competitive quote. Their team arrived on time on the scheduled day and did a great job. They were friendly and cleaned up everything. Sergio was our crew foreman and made sure everything met their expectations. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Very impressive work! Had a good size tree seriously interfering with my power lines. Nathan and crew did a hell of a job cutting it all back. Looks great! Also had a way over grown hedge that hadn't been properly trimmed in years. Nathan and crew carved back a nice rectangular shape that's easy to manage now! A+ cleanup too! Highly recommend!

Update: October 18th, 2024
Hurricane Milton destroyed my four Live Oak trees. Independent Tree made quick work of the cleanup and removal to the street for FEMA paid pickup. Not only did the crew do their job professionally they also helped me repair a water leak. Thanks again Independent Tree.

Update: June 21st, 2023
This year's draught has killed a number of trees here in Temple Terrace. That includes my 45 ft. Southern Pine. As always, Independent did an outstanding job, especially working between my home and my neighbor's.

Update: July 22nd 2022, I had to remove my 50 ft. Water Oak in my front yard as it was dropping limbs large enough to threaten the life and limbs of anyone walking underneath. I have added two pictures to this second update. One is of the trunk after felling the tree and the other is of a very cool remote controlled stump grinder. Thanks again Independent Tree for your good work.

Update: Independent Tree completed its work yesterday September 15th 2020.
They raised my tree canopies, removed trash trees impacting my Live Oaks and cut away limbs hanging over my roof. As always great work, great crew, and the 'crew-master' Austin is awesome. Thanks again Independent Tree for your expert work.

I have employed Independent Tree Service several times since 1999 and again on July 18th 2017. I started with Jerry and his crew and now I am working with his son Jordan and crew. They have and continue to be very professional and helpful. They've kept my aged trees pruned, healthy and off the roof of my home.

Very appreciative of Independent sending out a crew quickly to take down this tree limb that was caught in a dead vine and hanging by a thread over our back yard and lanai. Certainly would have caused damage and possibly hurt someone if it had fallen on its own. Guys were polite, and worked quickly. Done in 20 mins and cleaned everything up nicely! I could not be more pleased with my experience with Independent Tree Service!! Jordan and his team were professional, responsive and timely through the entire process. This was not a small job either 4 days and 4 Huge Trees in a tight space. Once completed you could never tell the trees were there in the first place. The crew also left mine and neighbors yard (canopies were over neighbor's property) in perfect condition each day.

I would highly recommend Independent Tree Service for any and all tree care services. A recent storm had created the ideal conditions for an oversized tree branch to fall and create a mess out of my entire back yard. The arborists from Independent Tree Service were professional and provided me with a thorough assessment as well as a prompt quote for the removal. The entire mess was cleaned within a day and everything was tidied up beautifully!

The crew from Independent Tree Service were wonderful. They were so polite, skilled and efficient. The trees they trimmed looked amazing now. They removed the small, unwanted volunteer trees and my side yards are clean open and appealing. All this without disturbing or troubling my neighbors. Thank you!!!

I couldn’t be more pleased with their professionalism, skill and positive staff! We had a huge oak tree in our backyard that took two days to complete. I was impressed with how Independent Tree Service cares for their employees’ health during this heat wave in Tampa. They give their crews a full paid week off in August to help them recover from the long hot summer. Impressive!

This is the fifth time that I've used Independent Tree Service over the past 20 years or so. I've always had great service from them. They've trimmed trees, taken out trees, cleaned up after a couple of hurricanes and ground a stump or two for me.
This time, Marti came and walked my trees with me, using his laser pointer to show exactly where a tree should be cut and in a few cases showing why a tree didn't need to be cut or trimmed. He prepared a detailed proposal, including detailed pictures of the proposed work and itemized costs. Scheduling the work with Christi in the office was easy (as usual). Sergio and his crew showed up on time, cut down a leaning tree and cleaned up another tree that had fallen from my neighbor's property into my conservation area and did a little trimming here and there. Like always, Sergio and crew were obviously well trained, had the appropriate equipment, used excellent safety protocols and respected and cleaned up my property - moving everything to the curb for pickup by an Independent Tree Co truck, complete with claw, and a very talented claw operator. After work was competed, Sergio walked my property with me to show me what was done and make sure I was happy with the work. Independent Tree Service crews have always been uniformed, clean cut and respectful of my property.
I highly recommend this company.
