Independent Tree Service did a great job cuttingback an oak tree in preparation for the installation of solar panels. They had to remove a section of my fence to drive equipment through. Put fence together and cleaned up after the job. Excellent work!

As always, Independent did a great job in our yard. They are knowledgeable about the trees and trim them back just enough so they look healthy and tidy. Curtis and the team always do a great job, are friendly, and clean up so the yard looks fantastic when they are done.

I WILL USE THEM AGAIN!!

Nathan and his crew were prompt and professional. They cleaned up consistently during the process of pruning my Laurel Oak and removing a dead Queen Palm tree.

What impressed me most is that they had a debris truck come before they finished to remove all the work they had done instead of leaving it on my curb until the city/county came next Monday. With the afternoon thunderstorms coming the way they have been, I am super grateful for that part of their service since all that was cut would have been blown all down the street.

Nathan was very kind and even removed some tangled branches coming over from my neighbors yard right before he left at my request. Customer service was EXCEPTIONAL!

We've been using Independent Tree Service for nearly tens years to maintain our live and laurel oaks and have never even considered using anyone else. The entire staff is professional and the work is top notch. Just an all around fantastic experience. We could not recommend Independent Tree Service enough.

After a thorough walkthrough of my yard and tree evaluation with arborist Jordan, I had several trees in my yard trimmed. I am very pleased with the work. The crew was friendly, helpful, and courteous. They were careful to flag my sprinklers so there was no damage and also took care of my lawn so there were no deep Impressions from the heavy equipment. Their clean up was outstanding. They collected all branches and sticks and those were disposed of efficiently. A huge thank you to Independent Tree Services for the excellent work.

Independent Tree Service is the most reliable tree service I have ever used. They have been the goto company I have relied on for the last 20 years. All the crews that they have sent in the past have all done a wonderful job. They are very careful of the property without any damage to the house and cleaned up as they went along and even cleaned off the roof and driveway cleaner than when they started. They are arborist and know what they are doing to protect the trees that they service. Chris, MK and Corey did a great job removing my favorite tree that was damaged by muliple hurricanes and was not able to be saved.

I see why Independent Tree Services has 5 stars. Jordan guided me to the best approach for pruning my 4 oaks and 1 magnolia. His proposal met my needs while ensuring my trees’ health. Jordan’s sister was extremely helpful with booking and explaining the billing process. The crew that came out: Sergio, Austin, Keimani, CJ, were pleasant and hard working. They worked quietly and cleaned up afterwards. I don’t even know when the stump was grinded. At the end of the job, the transformation exceeded all my expectations. It felt the way you do when you walk out of the hair salon with a fabulous hairstyle! Thank you for making my trees look so great! I really do appreciate it.

Sergio and his Independent Tree Service crew were absolutely fantastic. They were doing a big job in our neighborhood, and I had leftover tree debris from a contractor. Sergio and his claw truck removed it very quickly on their way home and at a very affordable price. These guys are good, quick, and fair. Thank you, big time, for everything.

From start to finish, this team was incredible. They came in, got the job done quickly, and left everything spotless — you’d never even know they were here. They were extremely respectful of my neighbor’s property (the trees were technically on her side but hanging over my home) and took great care to protect both of our yards.

Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. Sergio and his crew were awesome and worked so efficiently, even with two large trees hanging over my roof. The crane operator was not only skilled, but he looked like a friendly cowboy straight out of a movie, and he made the whole experience less stressful and actually fun to watch!

Marti kept me updated throughout the entire process and answered all my questions right away. They handled permits in just three days and were at my house the very next day to begin work. From the initial quote to project completion, everything took only about a week and a half.

I couldn’t be happier with the results — and I finally feel peace of mind knowing those trees are no longer a risk to my home. Highly recommend!

Independent trimmed my mango tree because there is a height restriction where I live. Sergio understood totally that I didn’t just want the top hacked off. The crew pruned the sides so the new fruit wouldn’t drag on my roof and curved the top so that the tree looks lush and green.
Because of Marti’s good decision making we managed to avoid doing this trimming just before the freeze.

Sergio and his crew did an amazing job trimming the century old oak trees on our property. Their state-of-the-art equipment reached areas no other tree company had ever reached. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and left my sidewalks, yard, and driveway free of debris. The owner, is a Certified Arborist and his expertise about what to trim (and not trim) gave me confidence that our trees were in good hands. Independent Trees is a highly professional company that offers five star service at a very competitive price.

This is the fourth time I have worked with Independent Tree Service to trim and prune trees and other vegetation on my property. I really appreciate working with Jordan - who goes over any questions or concerns you have (and as an arborist can also make so many other recommendations for planting etc. you may have!), and provides advice if you are not sure what exactly is best. The company has all the equipment needed to do the toughest jobs. The price is fair, and they provide a quote in writing before doing the job. Sergio and his crew were excellent and went over everything with me before they left. They also made sure everything was cleaned up. This is why I keep returning to them year after year! Would definitely recommend them.

2025 ONGOING SERVICE >> March 10, 2025 - Sergio was the Team Leader. Once again Independent proves why they are the best. In 2021 we established a care and pruning program for our Grand Oak and since that time we have endured three hurricanes. While other trees of similar size were damaged or destroyed in our community we lost only small branches and only needed Independent to trim/prune in order to promote healthy growth. Once again Independent came prepared with the best equipment to access our very tight site and Sergio's team was fast, efficient and safe.
When you need it to be done correctly, safely and timely Independent Tree Service continues to be the best choice.

2021 INITIAL ENCOUNTER >> We have worked with 4 different firms since 2016 and have a good frame of reference as to right and wrong, as well as safe and unsafe.

Independent Tree Service (ITS) is bar none the BEST.

Jerry Upcavage did the required Professional Arborist review and put a comprehensive trimming plan in place to remove the hazardous conditions and to do it safely while making sure our tree would continue to grow and prosper..

The equipment they mobilized for this project enabled them to get into a very tight spot and to do the trimming without any damage to our roof or lanai. Needless to say their Safety Plan and execution was completely successful.

James was our Crew Foreman and his execution was flawless.

Based on our experience you can think of ITS as the Marine Corps of Tree Service Companies in Tampa Bay.

I don’t think I will run out of good things to say about Marti and his team. Marti was quick to come out and assess my property. His estimate was accurate and fair, and the job was scheduled very quickly after his site visit. His team was respectful, efficient, and cleaned up beautifully after. They even snagged a couple branches off my roof/from the gutters on a side of the house they did not work on. Great communication from all parties involved and will continue to use Independent Tree Service in the future

Sergio and his crew went above and beyond with the tree service. I have used Independent Tree service in the past and this crew represents the company in a professional manner. All members of this crew are friendly and personable. I won’t ever hesitate to use them again and to recommend their services to others.

They were quick, efficient, and respectful. They removed a tree off my property and left the area very clean, like it never even happened. They even saved my wind chime that I forgot about which was honestly so nice of them. Everyone at this company is extremely happy/ pleasant which I think says a lot about how it’s run as well. Marti is so fun to talk to and Damian was very sweet.

I had a large oak tree with large branches over my neighbor tile roof on one side and additional large branches over my tile roof. The branches were removed safely and never touched the roofs . The 5 man experience crew put tarp over my pavers, the branches were slowly lowered to the ground and all debris raked and removed. The quote was fair and thoroughly explained, the crew also went over what they were going to do and when done, asked my approval of work before leaving. I highly recommend Independent Tree Service. They have major equipment, experience. Locally owned

Independent Tree Service did an excellent job!! The guys did a great job of trimming back 4 large oaks and cleaning up the site. Sergio, the foreman, met with me before the work began and obviously knew his business. All four members of the team were well trained. They had the right equipment to do the job. I definitely would recommend Independent Tree Service

It’s hard to convey with words how incredible the experience is working with this company and their crews. We have used them year after year for standard hurricane prep and also for the large scale complex projects. Starts with Christi - so helpful with scheduling and support. Marti comes to do a walk through, very knowledgeable about tree species, overall health, gives advice on what to trim, what can wait etc. The crews - true artists. It’s incredible watching them tackle difficult projects with such skill and care. They treated our property like it was their own. I could go on, so many examples and stories of their great work. Highly recommend.
