Tree reviews in Tavares, Florida

Duke energy used them to trimm away trees from power lines and they literally killed my tree! Now it's dropping branches every week. They need to do the right thing and take the rest of the tree down. Hurricane Debby already took a large branch and put it on our roof. Tree was lush before they showed up.

I will be contacting a lawyer tomorrow these people came and destroyed my tree and will not return my call.. they think they got away with this they are in for a rude awakening because I dont forget and they will pay for the damage!!! Shame on you Duke for hiring such a trashy company because their work reflects on you and they are the worst I've ever seen...

Worst tree company in Florida! If they did not underbid the contract with Duke Energy, this company would be out of business. They make a mess and do not clean it up, they will hide debris on your property and jump your fence. Oh and they NEVER answer the phone. If they are working in your area or near your house, make sure to babysit them.

Duke Energy contracted Buford’s to cut the limbs away from the power lines by our house. The limbs fell and damaged my chain link fence in two places. We were at work at the time so we did not notice until later. We called Buford’s and reported it and the issue was resolved two days later. This company was very professional and offered a hassle free resolution.

They have literally ruined my Fence 3 times and I have NEVeR hired them. Duke must hire them and then they F my fence up 3 times! And now this 3rd time is a huge screw up and the won’t return calls. You Ran my fence over this time instead of dropping trees on it like the other 2 times we have had issues with a company I have never hired 🙄Morons!

Duke hired to trim trees. Drove chipper and truck over my yard. Told they would fix from worker. Called their office 3 days in a row, told they would call me. No call backs. Cant wait to check my sprinklers. BTW. It was all for nothing because the machine didnt fit between houses. Left heaps of dirt in road. No clean up. It is incompetence or on purpose. No other explanation. Duke must pick lowest bidders because reviews are all the same.

I paid to have a truck load of wood chips delivered from Burford's Trees. They took my money and completely ghosted me. They didn't show up on the day it was supposed to be delivered, which was a Thursday. Over the next several days I kept reaching out and they kept saying we will deliver and eventually over the weekend said they'll set something up on Tuesday (Monday was memorial day so I said fine). Then Tuesday rolls around, I'm not hearing back so I reach out yet again, they took down my address and contact info yet again, but then ghosted. Never showed up to deliver the wood chips, never responded to any future messages. This is absolutely horrible customer service, and honestly I think this company is likely a scam. They'll take your money and run.

They mutilated my trees without permission. They do not return calls from their answering machine. Burford's cut down a nice live oak and two palms, but left water oaks, opening my house to the highway and much noise.

My experience with their work for Duke in the short time I’ve been here hasn’t been good. But I most say they did an outstanding job this time around on 25A in Belleview. 4/2/2024

#DukeEnergy hired them to clear the power lines in my neighborhood and they totally skipped an entire road.... there are even branches and vines all throughout the lines..... great job there gentlepersons... two separate crews came through my neighborhood... the first crew were in heavy equipment with like a four foot blade on a sixty foot boom and a small cat excavator and the second crew came through with bucket trucks chippers and a ground crew.... you would think that there would have been a supervisor come though to insure that the job was completed.... although from all the other posts there's no surprise that the job was incomplete.... there seems to be no lacking in incompetents from this company.... there also seems to be no sense of respect or responsibility for the communities in which they are working.... leave it to #DukeEnergy to hire and overpay the cheapest contractor while jacking up our rates claiming improvements blah blah.... and haven't we been getting taxed since like 1992 for our power lines to be buried... 0 out of 10 wouldn't not recommend

They were hired by Duke energy to cut down trees around the power lines in my backyard. They drove the truck into the backyard and ran over an old abandoned septic tank creating a deep hole. They said they would come back to fix it. When I came home from work, I found they just put three 2x4's over the gigantic hole with a piece of plywood on top. They covered that with dirt and never came back.

Duke Energy hired them to trim trees along their power lines. They trimmed 3 of my trees not close to my house. They broke a fence board and threw the branches they trimmed in to my yard. I noticed while mowing one afternoon they returned to review their work, leaving my fence broken.
I have numerous signs warning of the presence of dogs. My dogs destroyed all of the blinds on the side of the house the trimmers could be seen over the 5 days they were by my property.
When I came home one day, one dog was so upset he was trying to come through the window. I called their number to ask what was going on and could they not read the signs.
Lacks professionalism and attention to detail.
