Switching to solar with Spartan Solar has been so easy, and I'm on track to save $$ each month. I did the math 10 times before committing to a lease. FPL is increasing costs for the next four to five years to pay for necessary infrastructure upgrades, and they are passing those expenses on to all of us. My electricity bills just kept going up every month. For me, with a solar lease, there was zero out-of-pocket expense, and I'm locked into a monthly rate with Spartan ($85) for year one. It can go up by a fraction of a percentage on an annual basis, but by the end of my lease, the monthly payments are still less than what my avarage bill was just before I made the swith ($200)! Spartan provides insurance and replaces any panels if they are damaged by a storm, etc. I have an app to watch the energy production and how much extra I'm generating, which Spartan gets to sell back to FPL. I do have to pay $10 to FPL each month to sell energy to them, so my total bill is $95, and this is only if I don't use more electricity than the engineering study determined I typically do, but I did two loads of laundry and ran the dishwasher on a Sunday and still came in 50 percent under my total for the week in the first week. There are two people in my household, and Spartan sizes the amount of panels based on amount of people and typical energy consumption. For me, solar is a win win. Also, leases are long term (25 years). At the end of the lease, the panels still have 10 to 20 years of life in them, and you can buy them for a pretty low cost, have them removed, or re-lease. I think Spartan is a great company to consider if you are thinking of going solar in sunny FL!

Edited March 2026: since this review has been posted, we have attempted contact with the company numerous times with no response at all, nobody has been out since we had the home inspection and no contact whatsoever with anyone. They were very great in the beginning but we are very disappointed in how things have gone since doing the credit check and paperwork, we started this process around Labor Day of 2025, and have gone nowhere with it.

Jared has been very informative and has answered all of our questions throughout the entire process. He has been great at making all of the paperwork go smoothly and has been very responsive anytime I contact him, always getting back to me within an hour and getting everything done very quickly!

We had talked to reps from several other solar companies in the past and were not very happy with what we were hearing. Then we met Darius Haris and Elle Haskin! They explained everything in detail and answered every question we had. (And we had alot of questions!) The solar panels are up and looking great! We are just waiting for the final inspection. I'm so glad that we held out for Spartan Solar.

Will was incredibly informative, helpful, and kept great communication throughout the project. We’re already loving the idea of saving money over time and not having to hand so much over to the utility company each month. Plus, it feels great knowing we’re using cleaner, renewable energy. This review is long overdue!! We began this process in February when someone knocked on my door. I was very skeptical initially, but Mike Caldwell explained everything to us and took his time to answer every question we could have. And he helped us thru the process every step of the way! Spartans customer service is excellent and they keep us informed about everything. We had our install done in April and by May everything was approved and we were up and running! We have definitely been saving money, especially during these summer months. Mike has still be a great support when we have questions or need some direction on something. It’s so rare that someone says “call me if you have any questions” and they actually mean it! I would definitely recommend Spartan if you are interested in saving on your electric bill

Working with Nick was an absolute game-changer in my journey to go solar. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, and made the entire process straightforward with zero pressure. Nick Finger took the time to explain the concept and process and kindly and patiently answered every thorough question I had about entering into a PPA in general and with LightReach specifically. He was professional and did not pressure us in any way. He showed us the data and we made an informed decision. No pressure at all.

My husband and I were unsure about solar at first, but Dominic from Spartan X Solar totally changed that. He was super transparent from the start, explained everything clearly with no pressure at all, and kept the communication open the whole way.

Illinois Homeowners are in phenomnal hands with Spartan X Solar! This was a world class experience that started with a conversation with Daniel Stockton and Darius Harius. We were always skeptical to make the switch but they were able to ease our mind, explain the program and answer all of of questions. The entire process was smooth and the communication was excellent. We were extremely happy with the service and even more happy when we saw our first electricty bill after the solar was installed, it was significantly lower! It didn’t cost us anything upfront and we are already seeing the benefits!

Eric @Spartan Solar is a professional. He & Bash (his assistant) spent many hours in walking me through the whole solar energy project.

The solar system contractor arrived one-time & installed a 39 panel system in less than 6 hours. Their office staff was also diligent & focused during the entire inspection process & kept me updated along the way.

The project also included a 100A to 200A panel upgrade which was professionally done. The 16kW (DC) solar sstem passed final inspection, it's working & doing what it's designed to do.

Again, Eric was patient (not "pushy"), has his heart in his work, is honest, and motivated by knowing his customers are benefitting from solar power.

I am so pleased with Edward Molina for his professionalism in going solar! He was awesome in explaining the entire process and especially the savings on my electric bill. I am telling all of my friends and neighbors and pointing them in Edward's direction. Edward is a true professional and understands about giving great customer service! This is why I have no problems referring him to my family, friends and colleagues. Thank you Edward! My actual rating for Edward is 10 stars!!

Spartan Solar did not give up on us when at first we weren't interested. I guess we didn't know enough and pass it up. The sales guy made another visit and peaked our interested and with 2 months we qualified for free Rooftop and solor panel which will reduce our electricity by ½ of what we were paying and could save even more in the future.
My thanks to Bashkim for not giving up on us when at first we weren't interested. Later we met up with Eric & Bashkim where we shared a meal and discussed our qualifications to have solar.
Within 6 everything was done and we got to choose the color of our roof. We are looking forward to the savings of having solar and hope everything that was said will actually happen. So all the members of team; Paul with the Roof..Monica the project manager Billie with spartan. And then Josh scheduling the solution inspection.
Last but not least. JUSTIN was our lead guy with installing our solar and doing all the electrical work in/outside of our home. Very friendly dude.Took time to speak with on a professional level as a person level. This is the kinda of dude you want as the front man of your solar panels installation. Nick was amazing in explaining everything and when I asked questions he answered them professionally. He sat down and gave us all our options and didnt pressure us into switching. Very friendly with my family and my dogs. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who has questions about making the switch to solar.

I was approached by Ben and Shelby in Savannah, GA. We set a meeting and when they came back, as a naturally skeptical person, I thought “here we go”. I couldn’t have been more mistaken. They are lovely. Each person has handled themselves professionally and respectfully. Their knowledge of the company and how everything works is exceptional. I was at ease and comfortable. Quan was the person who came to inspect my house before the install. He was very nice, knowledgeable and punctual. The installation led by Ivan was seamless. The men worked diligently for 1-1/2 days. Everything to do with the installation was perfect. The system looks beautiful on my roof and makes quite an impression when seen from the backyard. I couldn’t be happier thus far with customer service and everything in between.. The fact that not one cent of my money was spent on anything is unbelievable and amazing. Go Spartan!
