Matthew was cordial, competent, and most importantly, trustworthy. He advised us of our repair options in sensible and professional manner, and completely the work as scheduled within the projected timeframe. We will definitely be contacting Bray again and asking for Matt.

I called on Bray about installing a new lamp post and fixture in front of our house. In our case, the tech who came to provide an estimate was the same who did the installation, which I liked. Luis was excellent in both situations. He was timely, easy to work with, clear about components and pricing of the job, and executed the job beautifully. Explained code requirements and set the post with concrete. Very happy with the result.

Matthew installed two lights in my kitchen. He was able to install them the day after I called to inquire. He did an outstanding job in a reasonable time, cleaned up after himself, and even wore shoe covers. Highly recommend Bray Electric.

Luis Rivera come to our new (older) home today to diagnose some issues and advise us on how to fix some wonky outlets. He was super knowledgeable and fast, and he solved our immediate problems while providing reasonable estimates for the other issues that we intend to tackle at a later date. We’ll be calling Bray (and Luis!) again soon!

I highly recommend Matt Golden from Bray for any residential electrical work. He installed a delicate pendant light from a very high entry ceiling, an "eyeball" LED for a large piece of art, and replaced a ceiling fan. Efficient, technically competent and trustworthy. Plus a genuinely nice guy. He had the right tools, parts and equipment with him, explained the appropriate codes, and cleaned up nicely before leaving. Will use Matt again.

Had a broken breaker that Devinn was able to fix for us today. Devinn was polite and professional. The booking process online was easy, and the company provided good communication and updates on the upcoming service via text which I appreciates.

Luis did an excellent job at installing two driveway flood lights supplied by me. He is very knowledgeable and came to complete the work a little later than expected but with floodlights it was perfect so we could see if they worked at dusk. Great communication on timing as his previous customer went from a quote to having major work done. I have used Bray Electrical before and recommend them.

Best electricians in Decatur, they gave us a very reasonable price to repair a tripping breaker and we ultimately replaced our electrical panel with Bray after shopping two other competitors. Highly recommend!

Devinn installed an EV outlet for us. Did a fantastic job, professional and skilled. He also diagnosed another electrical problem at our breaker and quickly fixed it for us (this had previously been shown to me by another electrical company but they didn’t offer any solution at the time). Great service and good price. Will be using Bray for our future electrical needs. Highly recommend Devinn

02/13/2026: Mike has been out to our new house several times to install a particularly challenging ceiling fan, as well as to add grounded outlets and 2 rooms and install some additional outlets in the bathrooms. He has been great to work with. Prompt, friendly, professional. Highly recommend him.

01/20/2026: Luis and Chloe came out today and replaced my electrical panel and fixed some issues with a few outlets. All of the work was completed as quoted and they were very efficient and thorough in there testing of the new panel.

Josh Hampton did an amazing job diagnosing the problem, detailing the repair, and completing the repair quickly. He answered my follow up questions and educated me about what is already upgraded in a midcentury house, what is working well, and what is recommended to satisfy an inspection if ever to sell. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend! Our 1960s ranch needed electrical work - we selected Bray because were the most professional and thorough out of all the companies that came to do the estimate.

Miranda at the office made sure we had an open line of communication as we needed to arrange for inspections and manage the payment for the work.

Scott Hartner did an outstanding job. It was an extremely difficult job (replacing and relocating service cable/meter, adding smoke and carbon detectors, Ethernet drops, etc.) he was knowledgeable, responsive and extremely personable. I’m glad I selected Bray!

I bought my house in 2022, and have had the same electrician out three times to do work. I thought everything was going fine.

Homer and Alberto took the time to show me everything that was out of line with our system - a 40 year old electrical box; wires running through the attic; and a panel that was not legally installed.

They worked with me and my wife to figure out a great pricing structure for the work. I have been blown away by their professionalism and courtesy. They have won my repeat business, and I am happy to say I have a new electrician.

Bray electric did a fabulous job and a big shout out Josh! He came out to quote a job. I was looking for 50amp service for a portable generator hook up and a 2nd fuse panel since my main panel was full. Josh was very detailed in quote of what need to be done.

I approved the job and josh came back out and performed the job in the most professionalism way possible. He kept me informed what was going and takes very good pride in his craft the install was topnotch. I recommend Bray electric and Josh.

Devin came out and was fantastic and professional. I had a fan installation that was giving me trouble and above my comfort zone and he completed it very smoothly and quick. He was courteous and friendly and made sure everything was done to satisfaction and answered all questions. He also cleaned everything up and threw out the box which was a nice touch. I’d definitely ask for him for additional projects. Also the cost was very reasonable. Scheduling was a breeze and I love the updates about when to expect arrival too.

I had an issue of my microwave burning out after a new cooktop was installed by a well known store. The installers that were contracted by the store said everything was hooked up correctly after a bit of back and forth, along with a re-dispatch. I didn’t know what to believe, so I turned to Bray Electrical. Bray dispatched an electrician named Alfredo, who identified the issue within a second of looking at the connection. Turns out the outlet was splitting the voltage in its original configuration. Alfredo weighed out potential paths forward and provided a solid plan to run a separate circuit with minimal costs. I was provided several options along with quotes, all with reassurance that my home isn’t under imminent threat of electrical issues if I left the outlet unused. The quote to run a new circuit was so reasonable and I was so impressed by the professionalism of Alfredo that I knew this was the company I wanted to perform the work. These guys are fast, honest, and don't charge an arm and a leg. It’s a no brainer that I’m going with them for any future electrical work needed for this old house.
