Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable and spent an afternoon with us discussing ecological and native planting options with us. We appreciated all of his insight! Thank you.

My yard needed some tlc. Daniel and his team went above and beyond cleaning up and giving my existing native plantings the definition to show off the yard.

Mr. Ballard and his crew installed a beautiful bird garden at my school. They pre-dug the holes, educated the children and made the entire process delightful. I love knowing that the plants he brought are meant to be in our area and that this space will not only be beauty, but beneficial. Thank you!! I highly recommend this company.

I was lucky to contact Daniel to redo my pond. He responded immediately, unlike anyone else and came out very soon to look at it. His team was out of my price range but he took the time to find someone for me. He even followed up to be sure it worked out. I was astounded. He seems to care about people and the land. I would definately recommend his service based on my interactions.

Convivial Gardens designed and installed a bird garden at my school. They brought native trees, shrubs, and plants. The workers from Convivial did an excellent job explaining to the students how the garden will affect our ecosystem. At the end of the day, we had a beautiful garden and more knowledgeable students committed to making our community a better place to live and grow. Thanks Convivial Gardens!

Daniel had wonderful idea for our yard we would've never come up with on our own. His crew was so kind and helpful throughout the process. And now our kiddos have real space to play.

I look forward to their continued work on our little patch of the neighborhood.

I hired Convivial Landscaping over 1 year ago to manage my landscape. They have done a wonderful job.

Some of the highlights of working with them are (a) horticultural knowledge and ability to advise on and handle the right pruning and care for what’s already in the yard / suggest and install ecologically sound additions to the landscape, (b) their expertise in storm water management and minimally invasive solutions like earthen berms to redirect storm water, (c) their use of non-gasoline powered yard equipment, so much quieter and better for the environment!

Daniel and the rest of the folks at Convivial have helped us get our last two homes in shape. Most recently they've brought life back to our previously tired landscaping with a throughtful collection of shrubs including various blueberry bushes! We can't wait for this Spring to arrive. Convivial's professionalism is simply terrific and they really know their stuff.

I've known Daniel Ballard for years, and have always known him to be knowledgeable about the connection between local ecosystems and the environmental impact of landscaping practices. He walks my property and considers water flow, native plants and trees, geography/topography, and how to best care for my home landscape and its inhabitants -- birds, bees, insect populations, and natural pest control in the gardens. His expertise is thorough, thoughtful, and insightful. I've learned so much from him that I put into practice here, and he is generous with ideas, resources, and time. I have found no one remotely like him in the Atlanta area, and I highly recommend the services of Convivial. (There are many wonderful, insightful, environmentally-friendly experts here; Daniel/Convivial happens to aggregate a whole lot of different skill sets and combine them in one place/company, which I appreciate.)

The owner of convivial gardens is the absolute best. His work is full of all the integrity and love he holds in his heart. His employees are kind, responsive, timely and attentive to detail. I have had the opportunity to work with Daniel several times and he always surpasses my expectations. I highly recommend!

Convivial Landscapes completely overhauled my parents' backyard this past spring. It was transformed from nothing more than unkempt grass, into a wildlife haven. Daniel Ballard designed a landscape of native trees, shrubs and pollinators, and it is even complete with a "climbing tree" for my kids. What's more, my parents and I learned so much from Daniel and the Convivial staff during the installation.

I often feel overwhelmed and helpless when it comes to climate change, but seeing the work that Convivial does gives me hope and inspiration. We can make even the tiniest difference in our own backyards, and this type of ecological landscaping does just that. Check it out. It all matters.

Daniel Ballard gave an excellent program about Ecological Landscaping to our chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society. He is very familiar with the methods recommended by Dr. Doug Tallamy and uses them in his landscape designs. He gave specific recommendations for native plants and shrubs that thrive in our part of the country. His tips were meaningful even to master gardeners.

Daniel and his team designed and build a wonderful landscape for our front and side yard. We love the timber steps they created, and were really impressed with the time and care the team took with our project. We plan on using them for all of our future landscaping projects.

Daniel created a gorgeous landscape which is also loved by the many visiting birds. His knowledge and use of local plants is amazing!

Working with Daniel and his team was a pleasure. We had no idea what we wanted or needed to solve a drainage problem, and Dan was able to guide us to develop an artful, environmental and unique solution. Watching him work was like watching an artist paint with rock and soil. I can't wait to work with him again on our next project.
