Service on Generac Home Generator. Came out to service and was here on time. Did the job and cleaned the outside of the generator too! Was very pleased that they did what they said they would.

Charlton Electric installed our whole house generator a few years ago. They perform great work and stand by what they do. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Generator was installed 1 year ago. We were informed that it would do a test once a week at a time when we would be asleep so we never confirmed that the test performed. Now 1 year later there was a power outage and generator never turned on. Maintenance did come out and gave full examination (for which we were billed and paid) and he explained that problem was with the natural gas supply. We had natural gas company out who explained that the regulator was faulty. The plumbing company who installed regulator came and replaced and charged us for the replacement. HOWEVER generator still did not start so plumber called a contact who was familiar with the product who advised that the PSI was set too high and that the switch WAS NOT set to natural gas (NG). When generator was originally tested upon set up, the technician HAD TO TEST IT ON LP, NOT NG. During our 'repair' issue this year, neither the gas company nor the plumbing company had need or recourse to open the generator and touch the switch. Charleston Electric states that the paperwork submitted by their technician for this year maintenance did examine the switch and that it was set properly. As no one else worked within the generator to get it working, all we can do is believe that perhaps the switch was overlooked. Charleston Electric refuses to refund the $200+ bill to replace the regulator (which did not need replacing) regardless of the thousands of dollars we paid to get it installed and theoretically working properly. This is poor professionalism, and we are very unhappy with this company.

Does good work but very small company. The owner works hands on everyday. If you call for service you will probably get him. He don’t keep employees. He likes to micro manage everything. He also claims to be a pastor but lies on past employees and how much he was paying them (he gossip to city electric)don’t know why a “pastor” would do that when it hurts his testimony and I have this thing called a check stub to prove him wrong. I quit before the probation period because he was hard to work for and had bad attitude. Also disagreed with him claiming to be a pastor. I would not recommend him to a customer or employee. Before I left he gave me wire that I said I would pay for. Then after I quit he took it out of my check. That’s what a young punk would do. Not a pastor. Dishonest.
