,, ,Ron was very professional. his crew was great. they had some amazing tools, including a Grappler cutter crane. with it, they could grab onto a branch and a chainsaw would come out and cut the branch and then they could bring it down without any risk to our property. this was really important to us because we had huge branches right over our garage.

TLDR: professional, efficient and well worth the money. Removed 18 trees and all debris in a single day. Would hire again without getting other estimates.
I got estimates from nearly a dozen different companies to have 18 trees removed. Most of the trees were 12” sweet gums, a few trees were 12-18” and there was a 24” sweet gum, and a beastly 36-48” white oak. It’s important to note that about half of the companies I got quotes from carried both liability and workers comp insurance, the other only carried liability. The quotes I received ranged from $6k-$10k. Ron’s wasn’t the cheapest, and I didn’t expect it be as he carries both liability and workers comp insurance, but it definitely seemed like the best value for the price.
Other companies I got estimates from told me it would take at least 2 days to complete the job (though they did say they charged by the hour). Ron and his 5 man team arrived about 5 minutes early, which is always a positive for me, and stayed past 5:30 to ensure they completed the job in 1 day. When I say completed the job, I don’t mean just felling all the trees, I mean they chipped all they could, removed the logs that couldn’t be chipped, cleaned the entire yard of any kind of debris that came from the trees, and flattened the wood chips to prevent any drainage issues. They not only used blowers to clean as they went but were out there with rakes, and occasionally got on hands and knees to clean up. They honestly left my yard cleaner than it was before they arrived.
The team was professional, safety oriented, courteous, respectful, and efficient. Before moving their equipment to where they needed it, to make their job easier (not easy, but easier) they asked permission to remove some natural obstacles, and worked around what couldn’t be removed.
They used gear to reduce negative impact on my yard when they moved their heavy machinery through my yard. Afterwards I didn’t find any areas that the grass was torn up, a very narrow depression from the truck tires but nothing I need to fix.
Overall I am thoroughly impressed with the service provided and would hire Ron’s tree service again if I need anymore trees removed, without wasting my time getting other estimates, there’s simply no point. If you are in need of a tree removal service the I highly recommend Ron’s tree service.
