Micron and Mr. Hawkins' came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. I needed to mitigate the flooding from rain water in my basement am delighted with the final outcome. The renovations have transformed my house into a more functional and aesthetically pleasing space. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the finished project, and I have received numerous compliments from friends and family who have visited since the completion.

We hired Kevin and his team for a room addition,
Wraparound deck, and a full under deck, for the ultimate outdoor living experience. He did not disappoint. Kevin is high end without breaking the bank. He is professional and stays involved throughout the entire job. His team is meticulous about clean up so we never had any issues with our HOA. We were so pleased with our outdoor living space that we asked Kevin to come back to add a full bathroom in our basement. The bathroom is spectacular, it is so nice that we will likely need to have Micron come back to update our Master Bath. I have my own ideas and I know what I like and what I want, but I did appreciate that Kevin was able to take my ideas to the next level, he stays abreast of the latest home improvement trends and tries to match them to your taste. All in all our experience was amazing.....our friends and neighbors have repeatedly requested Kevin’s contact information. We will definitely contact Micron for our next big project, thank you Micron for being professional, providing us quality work, and adding even more value to our home

Micron did a wonderful job on our deck. Exceeded our expectations through and through. What I liked about Kevin is his attention to details and ensuring that he uses only the best quality products. We wanted our structure permitted so Kevin took care of all that. It required a lot of patience but it was well worth it. Our “massive” deck has become a landmark in our subdivision 😄

I have a metal roof installed by Micron construction in 2016. My experience with Micron Construction Co. has been deeply unsatisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my grievances. There have been multiple significant issues with their services:

1. Roof Leakage: Shortly after the installation, my roof started to leak, causing extensive damage to my property and personal belongings. This is indicative of subpar workmanship.

2. Lack of Responsiveness: My attempts to contact Kevin, the owner of the company, regarding these issues have gone unanswered. The lack of responsiveness is concerning and shows a lack of responsibility.

3. Poor Customer Service: Throughout this ordeal, I have encountered consistently poor customer service. My concerns have been met with indifference, and there has been a severe lack of assistance or follow-up.

4. Communication Issues: Communication with Micron Construction Co. has been a frustrating experience. Their inability to effectively communicate has made resolving these ongoing roof issues incredibly challenging.

5. Failure to Provide Impact Certificate: Despite promises to deliver an impact certificate, the company has failed to do so for seven years, despite numerous attempts to contact them. This negligence is unacceptable.

I have supporting documentation, including photographs of the roof damage, copies of our correspondence, and any relevant contracts or agreements. These documents clearly demonstrate the company's negligence, substandard work, and lack of professionalism. My experience with Micron Construction Co. has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating.

Micron Construction is extremely responsible and great to work with. They communicate clearly, show up on time, and deliver quality work from start to finish. I had a smooth and professional experience and would definitely recommend them for any project.

If you’re considering using Kevin - DO IT. I just finished a major bathroom reno that included gutting 2 bathrooms and moving walls to move laundry space and added a storage closet. He was always on time, quick to respond, HONEST, his budget was spot on (only went over on my design choices, oups), AND he got this all done in TEN days to accommodate visitors I had coming town. To top it all off he spent his own Friday night thoroughly cleaning up the space to ensure it was livable and picked up for my guests. I’ve already sent his number to my grandma for roof work and will use him on any future home projects I have (as well as pass him to everyone I know). I hit the jackpot by hiring kevin!

Kevin and his team replaced our roof back in 2007, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. They completed the entire job in just one day, with impressive efficiency and attention to detail. Over the years, they’ve also been quick and responsive whenever we’ve had warranty questions or minor issues. Their professionalism, reliability, and customer care have truly stood the test of time. Highly recommended!

Do Not Hire Micron Construction.

Kevin Hawkins Sr. (the only Micron employee) presented himself and his company Micron Construction LLC in a way that made us believe that he is licensed general contractor. In short, Our 16 week project stalled out at 8 weeks and progress stopped so we started looking around. As it turns out, Kevin is not licensed or qualified to be a General Contractor in the State of Georgia. He is simply an Authorized Permit Agent for another company. This other company or person is illegally lending their license to Micron to operate as a General Contractor because they are not actively managing the work that is happening on a day to day basis. I know that they are not managing the work because we have had to dig through documents to find this company/person.

We made attempts to regroup and get back on track but those efforts were met with apathy and indifference to the real problems we were encountering. Kevin would fail to answer questions in a timely manner that lead to us having to make calls to the municipality to get updates on critical inspections. Kevin did not do enough work to know if certain inspections were necessary which caused delays in getting the siding on the house in a timely manner.

The worst part about this entire experience is that there is no remorse for the mismanagement and delays caused by poor planning or no planning at all. Kevin simply would not move our project along to the point that his inaction caused damages to our property that could have been avoided with simple planning. Planning that we asked to have done for months.

As it stands we are still trying to get Micron to provide the documents that we have every right to have to prove where our money was spent. It has been roughly a month of asking for the same information to no response.

We noticed today (11/28/2025) that there are several new positive reviews on Google that are five star reviews and one that includes photos of my property. That is dishonest and shady to say the least. We have requested that they be taken down.

Kevin lost our trust the moment we found out he was not licensed and that he would not or could not provide receipts and invoices in a timely manner. This told us everything we needed to know about the character of the man who we trusted to make our dreams a reality.

Kevin and his team at Micron Construction Services built me a big beautiful deck that my family and I enjoy on a daily basis. We had an old deck that was not built to code slowly falling away from the house. Kevin showed up with a straightforward plan to demolish the old deck and build a new one to code and to my specifications. No project will ever be perfect, but we were able to work together to find solutions to our problems. The pricing is very fair and is presented up front in a well laid out document that is easy to read. The only price modifications made were due to me changing the scope of the project.
