Didnt call when they said they would, didnt send me an estimate when they said they would, had to call them 4 times.

Completely unprofessional. I would leave a “Zero Rating” if available. Did not call me when he said he would. Did not respond to my numerous attempts to reach him regarding an estimate. Would not be willing to recommend to anyone I know. Please do better for your community, be very wary if selecting this guy.

I have worked with Kevin Hawkins and MIcron Construction since 2014 on multiple properties with several businesses. Kevin has always been informative, efficient and done what he says he is going to do. He does high quality work and I highly recommend Micron Construction and Kevin Hawkins.

I would leave 0 stars, if I could. This guy is a scammer. He didn't do the work he promised, and was paid for, then refused to return phone calls. When I finally got in contact with him (by calling from a different number, which he answered immediately), he said he would have HIS lawyer contact ME, then hung-up the phone. What a joke!

I now see Mr. Hawkins has replied with a COMPLETE fabrication of the events, in an effort to discredit my review.

We NEVER asked for any kick-back. When Mr. Hawkins first mentioned our roof needed to be replaced, he suggested we "let him handle everything". When we asked why his original estimate was much lower than what he presented to the insurance company, he said he would do additional work on our home to make-up the difference. We were too trusting and took his word for it, but after they finished the roof (and left nails everywhere, and damaged some or our patio furniture), he stopped returning calls, then claimed WE were attempting to commit fraud. We were simply following his instructions, and unfortunately believed his lies.

I have documentation to validate my statements, and welcome anyone wanting more information to contact me. I'm easy to find :-) Finally, I wouldn't go through all the trouble of such a lengthy negative review, if Micron had acted professionally. Why would I be upset, over him refusing to do work he wasn't paid to do? In his attempt to discredit me, he all but admitted he was overpaid - read his response carefully, if he doesn't delete it. Con artist, buyer beware...

I have used Micron on two roofing projects and they have been superb to work with. Kevin is very knowledgeable about a variety of construction standards and best practices and committed to doing the job right. I highly recommend Micron.

Micron Construction replaced my roof and did a stellar job! Kevin was very professional from start to finish. I would definitely use his services again and would recommend him to others.

The project was a small home renovation with a total budget of roughly $20,000. Micron was able to manage the project to high standard of quality in a tight timeframe. Managing the schedule was particularly impressive since so many subcontractors are busy right now with big jobs it can be difficult to get them to commit to a schedule for a small job.

We will definitely consider Micron for any future work.

I normally never respond after a company replies to a review but I can't stand when people lie. From the very beginning it was mentioned that this was a 2 story build with an apartment type above the garage. To say anything different is a lie. As for the time estimate, I fully acknowledge when someone tells me it will be x-ys before an estimate is available however in the situation below I was told specific days it would be available not that it would be 5-10 days. Communicate that clearly next time and don't give specific days if you can't stand by that. I still believe anyone looking for this type work to be done should find someone else. Many others and most won't lie to make it seem like they are the good guy when they aren't.

I'll preface this to say that we have NOT had actual work done by this company. This review is solely based on the communication and estimation process.
Contacted company and scheduled an onsite estimation for a Tuesday. That day gets here and no communication and it gets to be past 6pm on day the appointment is scheduled for so I text and find out that they need to reschedule. We say fine and reschedule for the Thursday of the same week.
This time we meet with someone and go over exactly what we wanted (2 car garage with only a bedroom and bath above). He gave a ballpark figure which we were fine with and were told we would get the final estimate either Friday or over the weekend. Check email on Friday nothing, Saturday nothing so I send a text to follow-up and am told that we would receive it on Monday morning. Monday rolls around and I get busy with work so I don't check email until later in the day, no response. Wait until Tuesday, still no response. I finally reach back out and I am told that they were worried about losing a big job but they make no apologies for not getting the estimate to me like they said they would. Next day we finally get the estimate and lo and behold it is completely not what we asked for. Instead of a bedroom and bath only they had estimated a full apartment with living room, kitchen, etc. Definitely not what we had discussed. On top of that the estimate was almost 4x the ballpark figure he gave during the initial visit. Said he would remove what we didn't want and get it back to us. Again had to chase down the estimate as he didn't provide it when he said he would. Finally got the new estimate and it was still 3x what we were originally told. He said he would go check his numbers but at this point we are a week since and still no communication or follow up. This is definitely not a company I would want to do a job for me as they don't communicate with the customer or listen to what they say. I'm afraid what I would get would be no where near what I originally asked for.

Kevin with micron Construction just replaced my preschool's roof at Akers Academy in Alphabet. Throughout the process Kevin Hawkins was on time, always polite and friendly, and very knowledgeable. My preschool is open during the week, so that just left the weekend. Material staging on Friday, and 160 squares completed by Sunday morning. The crew knew what they were doing and no wasting time. Come Monday the project was complete, To date, not a single nail has been found anywhere. That's over 400,000 nails. I highly recommend Micron from my experience.

WORST COMPANY IN THE BUSINESS!!!! If I could leave negative stars I would. First off he doesn’t abide by OSHA safety guidelines. He was working on a roof with no harness. On top of that he’s money hungry. He told me “keep your mouth shut. I’ve got the adjuster.” Then when whatever plan he concocted for the adjuster failed he proceeded to argue with the adjuster. Next he gets the check, cashes it IMMEDIATELY. But whenever he was asked about a start date it was an issue. He could never get his workers to the site. He rescheduled 12 times! When I mentioned how unprofessional that was, to continuously reschedule and drag out a project that was guarenteed to be completed in 3 weeks. He became very ignorant and told me he’d refund me and to cease contact. It took an entire month to receive the refund. (Which I didn’t understand why he mailed it. When he drove to pick it up.) He acted as if I was wrong for expecting the service that was paid for. If you need roof repairs stay away from these guys. They’ll be paid while you wait. Bell Roofing is way more professional and efficient. We had no problem with them delegating workers, starting promptly, and performing EXCEPTIONAL work in a timely manner.

Micron and Mr. Hawkins' came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. I needed to mitigate the flooding from rain water in my basement am delighted with the final outcome. The renovations have transformed my house into a more functional and aesthetically pleasing space. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the finished project, and I have received numerous compliments from friends and family who have visited since the completion.

We hired Kevin and his team for a room addition,
Wraparound deck, and a full under deck, for the ultimate outdoor living experience. He did not disappoint. Kevin is high end without breaking the bank. He is professional and stays involved throughout the entire job. His team is meticulous about clean up so we never had any issues with our HOA. We were so pleased with our outdoor living space that we asked Kevin to come back to add a full bathroom in our basement. The bathroom is spectacular, it is so nice that we will likely need to have Micron come back to update our Master Bath. I have my own ideas and I know what I like and what I want, but I did appreciate that Kevin was able to take my ideas to the next level, he stays abreast of the latest home improvement trends and tries to match them to your taste. All in all our experience was amazing.....our friends and neighbors have repeatedly requested Kevin’s contact information. We will definitely contact Micron for our next big project, thank you Micron for being professional, providing us quality work, and adding even more value to our home

Micron did a wonderful job on our deck. Exceeded our expectations through and through. What I liked about Kevin is his attention to details and ensuring that he uses only the best quality products. We wanted our structure permitted so Kevin took care of all that. It required a lot of patience but it was well worth it. Our “massive” deck has become a landmark in our subdivision 😄

Updated 2 bathrooms and added a covered patio with Micron Construction with Kevin as lead and owner. We are pleased with the final product.
