Landscaping reviews in McDonough, Georgia

My lawn was recently serviced on my home and this was my first time using Southside Lawn Service. Kornell is a call act and him and his team truly did an excellent job on my front and back yard. My lawn will need more maintenance and upgrading over the next few months and I will be sticking with Southside to do it. Great company and great customer service!

We chose South Side Lawns to re-sod our backyard because we were impressed with the passion, knowledge, clear communication, and fair pricing we received from Kornell. The project had an on-time delivery, zero hassle, and everything beat our expectations. You will not find a better, more complete solution for lawn services than Kornell and team. We're not going to be one-time customers - we've seen a true commitment and dedication to the work and look forward to working with the team again soon! Thank you for making our pool area look amazing!

Kornell and his team were amazing. He came out promptly to offer a quote and was able to add us to his schedule the same week. he was very professional, communicated extremely well and offer a great rate. we are happy to be customers and look forward to using his services this year!

This review is long overdue but I had been looking for lawn care services for a long time and I was very pleased with this place! Mr.Johnson and his team were professional, thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable about their craft. They went above and beyond and provided excellent lawn care service. I highly recommend this location to anyone that needs lawn care services. South Side Lawns and Services are now my go-to lawn care provider!

Paid $5,600 cash for a landscaping project in April 2024 and made this our company for lawncare as well as treatment. Very attentive in the beginning, but we heard nothing after October 2024. Tried to schedule a cut in December 2024, but received no response. Haven't heard anything since. Had to hire a new lawncare service in February 2025 and a new treatment company last month. Guess it's all about installing, but not maintaining. Lesson learned. Godspeed.

Yard was looking pretty bad. Just had some trees cut down and wanted to get sod. Called South Side Lawns and Services because of all the good reviews. They did not lie! Kornell came right out and took a look at the yard, taking his time to go over options and pricing. He listened to my ideas and offered his expertise to make it happen. He and his team got everything done even sooner than expected AND on a holiday weekend. The results were awsome! I was kept informed during the whole process. They whole team was very professional and I couldnt ask for better customer service. Highly recommend.

Very Great Experience! Kornell was very attentive, and understood the assignment. Him & His workmen are very respectful. Very please with my new landscaping, safe to say that they have gained a long term customer. 💯

Thank you South Side Lawns for a seamless experience. Kornell listened and was very thoughtful in executing my vision. His knowledge and expertise took it to a new level. I love the new look and ideas that he implemented. Thank you South Side Lawns & Services!

Just started my lawn service with Southsise and it has been a great experience. Kornell is great, very knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward to my lawn looking incredible.

I called last minute for an estimate and was pleasantly surprised when I was told, “We can do this today.” I was so happy! I was actually out of town at the time, but he kept me updated and even sent pictures of the finished work — and let me tell you, it was BEAUTIFUL. Fast, professional, and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Great customer service and our yard looks great. Let me not forget the Awesome price..

Kornell was very professional. He told me what options I had for my yard, and how the work would be done. He communicated effectively at every step of the process. He advised me about the care of the new sod. He even complimented his installers because they did such a great job. Such management and professionalism is hard to find. He made it easy to pay the deposit and final bill through Quick Books. An excellent job start to finish.

This is the company that is helping me correct a drainage problem at my home in McDonough in the back yard. The Company owners name is Kornell Johnson. He and his workers are professional, polite, knowledgable and hard workers. Kornell limits his practice to Henry County. He will give you a personal, evaluation of what he can do to help you in your yard. It is not just a generalization for every yard. I highly recommend him. I know that I will continue to use him as long as he is in Henry County. You will be impressed at your first meeting with him. I feel like I have found the professional I have been looking for all the years I have lived here. I have shared this with my neighborhood Facebook page. See less

Nice, friendly and fast service! Highly recommend. My lawn looks wonderful!

Kornell and his team were outstanding. The power washing came out perfect. The ant treatment on the lawn removed every one of them. He will be working on our off-season lawn service on a monthly basis going forward.

As an extra bonus, he put down a garage floor that is one of the best I’ve ever seen. This is a picture of it in progress. He added blue flake on top of it and is going to put a clear coat on top of that.

Glad I found South Side Lawn Services! They did an excellent job cutting my grass and getting it ready for this year’s lawn season. I can’t wait to see my grass thrive this year because I finally found a reputable company that provides top tier quality lawn care! Thanks Kornell and team for being very professional and getting the job done with care!

I appreciate the professionalism of Mr. Johnson and his team. Today’s business owners don’t take the time to ensure the customer is satisfied with the services rendered. During Mr. Johnson’s inspects and he’s not satisfied, he would make the correction himself. So thankful for having my lawn properly and professionally cared for.

They do great work! They always come when they say they will. I am very impressed with the company and Kornell and all of his workers!

I recently purchased a home and the yard needed cutting bad. I google and found Southside Lawn Service. My home sits on 1 1/2 acre. They came out. Knew the name of every tree in my yard and told me what I needed done and they made my yard look absolutely beautiful 😍. Price is very reasonable too.. my new lawn care servicer

This was my first time using South Side Lawns and Services LLC and I would recommend them 100 percent. They are very professional, patient and knowledgeable. If you are looking for someone to maintain your lawn please do not hesitate to contact them. I am very pleased with their service.

Kornell and his team exceed expectations in delivering an excellent customer experience. After struggling with drainage problems in my backyard and receiving several estimates, I found Kornell's pricing to be both transparent and fair, which is rare these days. I'm extremely satisfied with the work they did and look forward to relying on them for my lawn care needs in the future. I highly recommend this company!
