Frank did an awesome job for an excellent rate. He went above and beyond. Not only did he do the area as quoted, he threw in an area, I could not afford at this time. It was a safety issue due to neglected overgrown weeds on my neighbors property. (I live in a town home) he cut it down for me at no extra charge. I wish I had more to give him. Frank is “good people” I will use his service again. I hope you do as well!

Frank and his team were amazing. We set an appointment on Friday for a consult and the very next day they got to work. The crew showed up on time and pulled and cut all the overgrown ivy in my yard. He was even willing to go back after the completion of the job to touch up some areas I added after the fact.

I can't say enough about how happy I am with Frank and his team for giving me back my backyard. My backyard was a total disaster of years of pile up of leaves, pinestraw, and the dreaded kudzu/ ivy. Overgrown Backyards has done a wonderful job containing the kudzu in my yard. Frank was reliable and paid attention to detail. His workers were very neat and careful with my property. Frank followed through and checked to make sure everything looked clean and neat. He and his team are conscientious and caring! I am not a person to write reviews but this business deserves recognition.

We had a lot of overgrowth with a mixture of English ivy and poison ivy. Frank and his team made quick work of it and left the job site clean and useable. They saved us a lot of time and effort.

I cannot say enough about Frank and his team. Our backyard had so much overgrowth after the removal of a few large trees. We honestly thought there was no hope. Frank and his team really helped to cleanup our yard and restore it to a workable condition. Words cannot express how excited we are now to open our window blinds and actually see the true depth of our backyard and not be ashamed to have some backyard gatherings with family and friends. Frank and his team were prompt, very professional, and had a great eye for detail to provide us with the best cleanup.

The business won't hook you with a catchy name, but you know what services you're requesting. My wife and I asked Frank and his team for a quote. We caught each other on vacation while trying to schedule, and I was impressed at how quickly he returned our inquiry upon his stated return. He offered a quick turnaround from quote to executing the work. The team he worked with in our front and back yards was friendly and helpful in my limited interaction. The result of their work was better than we could've expected and were capable of verbalizing. We had a lot of ivy growing on trees, ground, and through our fence as well as significant overgrowth in our backyard. Anyone who has seen the "before" and "after" has been blown away, and we are incredibly grateful for the quality of service. My wife and I have been so inspired for new projects and landscaping ideas now.

Frank was very easy and professional to work with. He showed up on time for the quote, and showed up on time the day they came out to actually do the work. They were fast and cleaned up the work area, even raked up all of the weeds they cut down. The quoted price was accurate and there were no surprise charges, and he even double checked about one tree to make sure they were about to remove the correct one. I would easily recommend this company to anyone looking, and will definitely be hiring them again.

Hardworking and efficient! I called Frank on a Saturday to provide a quote for cleaning out ivy, weedy trees and bamboo in my large/overgrown backyard. He came over within the hour to provide a quote, then was able to get his crew over the very next day. They did a great job, so now I have a blank slate to get creative with!

My father just recently passed away, and his yard was seriously overgrown with weeds, poison ivy, falling dead trees, and large dead branches and covered in pine straw. Frank and his team basically raked up all the pine straw and pulled up all the ivy. cut the dead trees and branches and hauled off all the debris they really exceeded expectations. I am beyond pleased with their work. They really did a phenomenon job.

EXCELLENCE and professionalism is hard to come by in customer service and Frank and his crew delivered just that for sure. I called Frank on Tuesday 8/6 and he actually answered the phone! How about that!! He came out the very next day and we did the walk around of my just shy of an acre property for the quote. We scheduled for a 2-day clean up and they arrived at 8am on Saturday 8/10 to do a full service job on my property that was overgrown to the point that it almost looked like nobody lived there. This 4-man crew worked 8 hours and 45 minutes and I mean they WORKED with just a couple of breaks!

Cut the front, side, and back yard which were as much as 24-36 inches high with weeds in some places. Trimmed down my severely overgrown monkey grass around the property and removed the infiltrating weeds from them. Trimmed and sculpted ALL of my azaleas and hedge bushes leaving them looking so smooth, truly professional work. They trimmed small and taller Holly trees/bushes that surround the front and back of the house, removed suckers from the trunks and they left them looking nice and neat. As I requested, they hand pulled (at the root) really tall flowering weeds that peppered the property, some were tall as medium sized corn stalks. They also removed weeds and crab grass that was growing out of the cracks in the walkways and driveway. They removed all of the ivy that was growing under a center island of azalea bushes in the front yard, trimmed back the ivy along the border of the property and trimmed back privet and over hanging tree branches so I can now see the tree trunks. They uncovered a huge tree stump that I didn’t even know was there at the top of the front of the property from a tree that was cut down before I bought the property. They even cleaned up the weeds just below the edge of the property in the back where a creek divides my property from the homes on the street behind me. It was 77 degrees when they started and 94 degrees by the time they finished up, and on top of that there was an air quality warning for the afternoon hours. They pushed through and got it done in 1 day instead of the planned 2-day project. They hauled away 2 trailers full of yard debris. I am amazed and extremely pleased with the outcome.

You definitely want these guys to work on your yard clean-up projects because they know what they are doing. They have the right tools and expertise in knowing how to use them for the different kinds of jobs involved in doing this work. Frank is a very friendly and likeable guy. He listens to you and he communicates effectively and timely. He instructs his crew; they follow through, and even go above and beyond to make sure things are taken care of to improve aesthetics. I am totally satisfied and I know you will be too!

Frank quoted me near $10,000 to clean out my dad’s yard and haul away. Got another quote for $3,800.

Watch out for predatory tradesmen.

You’ll notice when he texts you, he includes his phone number in the text, as if you don’t already have it. He is clueless as to what he’s talking about in his response, none of those details have anything to do with my Dad’s yard.

Overgrown Backyards Kudzu Removal. Full-Service

I'm so pleased with Frank and his crew!
It was easy to search online for what needed to be done by the name of company and Overgrown Backyards took care of mine! My boyfriend and I wanted to be able to enjoy the backyard and not be afraid of stepping on poison ivy and now it's all removed thanks to them!
Frank spoke to us the same day we called and arrived the next day to do an estimate and began working two days after that, so impressed with the wonderful communication!
The crew pulled up all of the English ivy and poison ivy in a day and half and worked very hard. They also raked a lot of pinestraw, cleared a fallen tree, limbs plus cut down a couple small dead trees.
The yard looks amazing now and can walk where haven't been able to in years!
I have already recommended this company to others and will continue to do so.

Frank Thurston and his crew from Overgrown Backyards worked a miracle, removing kudzu, English Ivy, privet and miscellaneous shrubs and trees. They took away all the debris as well. It took the team a full day, but now I have a clean slate to plant some native shrubs and perennials.

Frank’s team is the most amazing team you will find when it comes to a yard makeover. Our yard was overgrown and had so many weeds that grew to the size of trees. I found out we have a side fence gate because of Frank and his team. Thank you guys so much. You guys are the best and I 100% recommend anyone use y’all. I attached the before and after but actually the before was taken like 6 months ago so it was 10 times worse than this.

Frank and his team were fantastic. Our yard was overgrown with vines, bramble, brushes, and weeds, and they cleared it all out with great quality work. We were on the fence about doing the work ourselves vs. hiring the team, hindsight 100% absolutely glad we went with these guys. Highly recommend!

Frank and his team are magic! The backyard was beyond overgrown with kudzu and poison ivy. Frank and his team came out next day and cleared the yard in less than 6 hours!
