JL Wilson Electric have been awesome. Lightning struck my house, and they came right away. Since they have repaired everything with all of the guys being so nice. Alex, James and Forrest are the best. I highly recommend this company for all of your electrical needs!

Like others have noted: the JL Wilson Electric crew offers fantastic customer service! I needed a couple of kitchen outlets updated and an old range hood disconnected. Besides actually taking my call for a small job, Jackie had a team out to complete the work the same day. They also checked the electrical panel and breakers for me, and were happy to answer questions I had. I appreciated their time and my great peace of mind when they finished the job. I will 10/10 use JL Wilson again. Highly recommend!

First and foremost about JL Wilson Electric is that they answered my call, showed up for an estimate and for the work: something that is RARE when trying to hire a contractor in this area. I hired them to install electric out to my shed from the house. They gave me an estimate in a timely manner and came to do the work just as promptly. Electrical lines, three outlets and a light switch were installed in the shed. After the work was done they cleaned up and walked me through all the installation. Very professional, friendly and quality work. Yes, I would definitely ask them do do more work for me and will recommend to all I know who are need of electrical work.

Just had Jason and Cody from JL Wilson Electric here in Thomasville do a small project for me. they showed up a week early, on time, worked very hard and finished in record time and also cleaned up afterwards! Greatly apprecited!!

I needed a vanity light and two ceiling fans installed. Alex and his assistant from JL Wilson did a great job! They showed up on time, were polite, professional, and efficient! I didn’t know one of the ceiling fans needed a ceiling medallion to fit nicely but Alex was happy to pick one up for me and continue with the installation. Everything turned out great, I will definitely use JL Wilson Electric again!

Great service and prompt response!! Jackie kept us informed as to when the electricians would arrive. Shane and Dax arrived on time and listened to our concerns. They corrected all our known issues and the issues we were not aware of. Thanks to the whole team, we now have convenience in our electrical system and great peace of mind….

I needed an exhaust fan installed and Jackie was quick to follow up on scheduling even though it was the holiday season. Very prompt service and friendly employees. They came and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Very professional. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I’d like to offer some clarification from my perspective, and I also appreciate you acknowledging there may have been some miscommunication.

The room being worked on was our child’s room , where the light switch was moved and the ceiling fan was to be installed. While there may have been a misunderstanding about the ceiling being painted, I was surprised the switch was left open with no update or clear next steps.

As for the kitchen outlets, there were five. I was told the hourly rate upfront, which I was fine with, but it took two electricians two hours to open five outlets and a light fixture. They did turn off the breaker for the kitchen, but didn’t seem to review the panel labels or trace the issue properly. I’m not an electrician, but the breaker clearly indicated that the wall in question was connected to another specific light in the kitchen, and that connection was never mentioned or tested.

When continuing into the master bedroom was suggested, I chose not to, mainly because I was concerned about the time and cost continuing without a clear plan.

What was most frustrating, though, was the lack of communication. I didn’t receive any updates until I reached out myself to find out what was going on. Only then was the rest of the work scheduled and completed. While I appreciate that it was eventually finished, it would’ve made a big difference to have been kept in the loop rather than left wondering if the job was still in progress or had been forgotten.

I understand that things don’t always go perfectly, and I respect the work your team does. My review is just an honest reflection of my experience. Extremely disappointed with JL Wilson Electric.

They initially came out on a Friday to give us a quote and move a light switch just a couple feet—from outside the room to inside. That same Monday, two electricians returned to check why two kitchen outlets on the same wall weren’t working. Instead of checking the breaker or doing any real diagnostics, they opened every outlet in the kitchen and even took down a light fixture, only to say “we can’t figure it out.” It took them two hours to do what I could’ve done in 30 minutes.

They also left my kids’ room with an open electrical box and didn’t even install the ceiling fan—the main reason they came out in the first place. Then, radio silence for over a week, no updates, and when I called, I was told they considered the job “done.”

Turns out they were just waiting until they got back from vacation to schedule the rest… but no one told me that. In the end, a simple job that could’ve been completed in 2 hours took over two weeks, and I was charged over 5 hours for only 4 hours of actual time on-site (confirmed via my Ring camera).

Unprofessional, disorganized, and not worth the hassle. Would not recommend.
