Called Alan, he came same day, due to a cancelled appt. Foods melting, he knew exactly what to do due from experience. It was fixed, parts changed in minutes. I could not have asked for more.

Amazing! Alan serviced my Wolfe cooktop in 2010 and did a great job so I called him yesterday when I needed help again. He returned my call this morning and left a message suggesting, based on my message to him, what may fix my problem. Problem solved! He didn't need to do this. He could have made a home visit and I would have gladly paid him. This is professional and just plain Good Guy. Plus he clearly knows how to repair appliances. A sincere thank you, Alan.

The evening before a big holiday & long weekend, I opened my Subzero freezer to discover all my frozen treats melted & a freezer temperature of 60F. Russell Won of Brett Hill happened to be doing a routine service of my rental unit, so he quickly found and replaced the burned-out fan. He was worried the compressor might also be fried, so he said if the freezer temperature wasn't dropping in an hour, to call a Subzero serviceman and gave me the names and phone numbers of 3 companies. It was well past normal business hours when I called all 3 to leave messages. Alan Kurihara of Appliance Service Center called back shortly, and instructed me over the phone what to do to turn the freezer off while keeping the refrigerator running. He promised to check back with me to see if I was successful in shutting off the freezer, and said he'd make time for me the following week. By Sunday, the other 2 companies called. One estimated $150 for the service call, plus parts & labor. The earliest appointment available was in 2 weeks; Alan said he could come the next Monday morning. He was considerate enough to call me at home to let me know when to leave for the condo so I wouldn't have to wait around. Alan quickly found the problem & replaced the broken compressor relay, all for a total price that was less than the competitor's minimum service charge. I HIGHLY recommend Alan Kurihara of Appliance Service Center! After reading the other reviews, it's obvious that Alan routinely helps his customers with free instructions over the phone, and has a great track record. I highly recommend this very nice, efficient, and competent repairman and company to take care of all your kitchen appliances!

Alan has serviced my Sub Zero Fridge for 13 years. He always knows exactly what needs to be done, and he completes his work professionally and economically. If I have a need for him to come urgently, he always amends his schedule, and attends to my service needs. On two occasions he simply listened to my problem on the phone and told me how to solve the problem without a service visit or charge...very professional and highly ethical! Our family highly recommends Alan at Appliance Service Center, Honolulu .

Alan is rude, unprofessional, and condescending. If you want to have to call someone repeatedly to have your home serviced this is your man.

We use to call Andy all the time when we needed him to repair an appliance. But Unfortunately now he doesn't answer his phone and he never returns our call when we leave a message so we've been calling other repair companies for help.

Alan answered my call right away! He was friendly and explained everything. My washer was up and running within a day of my first contact. I will not hesitate to call him in the future!
