Absolutely horrible company from start to finish. I had 12 PV panels and a solar water heater installed for over 30k by them 9 months ago and my bill has gone up every month since! Do not waste your money!!!

Great job. Communication was outstanding. But left holes on the inside of the house. Ask for John he was the best. And pricing can not be beat.

They are thieves. Ripped me off for $112.5K for PV which could be DIY for $50K. Lied to lender on my behalf about my credit score, deceived me, and robbed me! PV system does not even work as expected, it steals energy to the grid! Remember this company to avoid!

It's been a day! Power outage last night, no power the next morning. Enphase had me outside in the rain trying to be an electrician. BUT Cruz came through as always, "feeling under the weather" and all. Fixed the problem (at the meter) and followed up afterwards. Thanks Cruz!

Cruz was the best to deal with - no sales pressure at all. The installation crew headed by Mario was professional and cleaned up EVERYTHING after they left. We are very happy with HI SOLAR.

The sales people were good, installers good. We believed all was good. But from the beginning only half our system worked. Tech came and went and still nothing. Hi Power says parts are coming from Maui! It's been 4 months, only half our system works. At least HI Power was paid in full. Perhaps we are the ones that fell thru the cracks. Wish we could be those people who gave 5 stars! This by far is the most expensive 1 star!!!!

Cruz & Team were extremely helpful in addressing an defect in our battery / solar system. Got the warrantied part and fixed the problem. thank you

Worst experience ever. We installed with HI Power Solar 4 years ago and for the last couple of months my electric bill has skyrocketed an extra $600/month. I called HI Power immediately in September and they told me that my inverted (still under warranty) was broken and they wouldn't be able to send a technician until Christmas. I told the company that since I'm losing thousands of dollars anyways, I could give any technician $500 to come ASAP. This is only an appointment to INSPECT the inverter. This is NOT an installation and doesn't need to take much time. Their response was ridiculous, and suddenly he had an opening for next week. Even if the technician arrived, it's only a consultation for an inverter replacement and I would have to wait 3 more months to actually receive a NEW one. This company never answers its phones and is "too busy" to take care of existing clients. Don't use this company, go somewhere else.

Max was very knowledgeable and answered all of the question that I had. Will be recommending him in the future.

Beware, presentation is great but doubt if they can deliver, i questioned the quote and never heard from them again, even after multiple follow ups, beware... not even a single feedback after multiple attempts to find out how he came up with 77 thousand dollars

I received your email but I did not see a quote. I received a proposed cost of what it would be but you did not disclose how you came up with the starting figure of $77,347.61.

A quote would break down the cost of each items, eg, inverter, battery, panels, mounting brackets, and other needed components, and maybe shipping cost, then your labor cost for installation. But just throwing me a number is not the way to do it. Your presentation was great, but this quote is not what I expected from HI Power Solar. Also, the quote specifically states manufacturer warranty so I don't know exactly what I am getting. Will Hi Power Solar be there for me after my system is installed? I

Please break down what you are offering and how much it costs for each part of the system and the service and labor you provide so I can make an informed decision. If I see the cost of the panels or the batteries, or the inverters, components, then I can decide what to take away or add to fit my budget.

Salesman and install were 4 star.

Since then it's been downhill. Most of the staff I've corresponded with are no longer employed: salesmen, a couple project managers, office staff...Not a good sign from a company you'll be giving thousands of dollars to. Almost 2 years and our project is still not approved by HECO. I've asked for an update a few times over the past month and crickets.

I'll update this review if our status changes. But for night now, I cannot recommend this company.

All I can say is Customer Service and Work 💯💯💯💯💯 Thank you so much Hi Power Solar Family/Team. Ron was very respectful and upfront he even told me Eh make sure you talk to your husband before you just make decisions lol but he is right.. Chase his son called me and planned it out they communicated everything. Alden and his partner showed up was very professional and even my neighbors was like wow they good and respectful of the surroundings and they cleaned up everything. Thank you HI POWER SOLAR. I really appreciate you folks💜

Chase and Cruze and the people over at Hipower solar did an amazing job on my parents house they were very helpful throughout the whole process solar panels and backup battery work like they should and couldn't be happier. Cruze went above and beyond when my parents had an issue with the solar not working due to poor original house wiring on the dryer he came out from the airport and got them backup and running. They have been helpful with any questions and I can't be any happier with the service.

Sales pitch was good and installation seemed to have gone ok. But then everything went down hill from there. Systems doesn't work properly and we are still getting $700 electric bills - its been over a year. Tried multiple times to work with them to get it fixed. Its the runaround game getting passed on to the next person. No accountability.

Its sadly comforting after reading the reviews, that we are not crazy and the company really does treat their customers like this.
And if you're still contemplating it, just look at their responses to some of these reviews! It shows how they will treat you after the sale. Sarcastic, rude, and turns the blame on the customer. I don't believe all customers are right every time, however, based on the reviews, it seems there is a commonality of issues and poor customer service. There are many solar companies out there. Find one that not only wants to close the sale, but will do the follow through and address your concerns post installation with clarity and accountability.

Chase Romero, don't bother responding to my review with a snarky response. There is nothing that you can say or do at this point to make things better or even worse for us. And we are past the phase of "trying to work it out" with you. Instead, we are hiring another Solar company to fix your installation. I'm not a troll and this experience is 100% accurate and seems to be trend based on the other reviews.

For the other customers that are having an issue with HI Powers installation, upon completion of our repairs, if everything goes well, I will update my review with that company's information for you guys to get your systems fixed. Unfortunately, it will cost you more money, but right now we are paying $8400 in electricity bills for the past year on top of the cost of the solar panel installation!

Ron and Company installed my PV system 10 years ago. The installation, system performance and service have all been wonderful. Just had a pretty complex problem worked on by Joe, Makana and Suki and they persisted until they solved it. And, like Ron's entire team, they were friendly, careful of your property and just great guys. And, Evelyn, the coordinator of all their service, is fantastic to work with. Great people on a great team!

Just installed solar panels this last month. Working John Yeh has been amazing from estimates to installation! I love that he is very knowledgeable and responsive. I will be referring more clients!

Our PV system was installed 11 years ago. We had a question about the system and HI power got back to us immediately. Chase spent an hour with us to explain the digital readout. He was very patient and knowledgeable. We appreciate their time spent and patience with the kupuna.

I don’t understand much about solar so when I was experiencing problems with my monitor, I called Hi-Power and Chase was patient and understanding and walked me through troubleshooting the problem.

Also I would like to acknowledge Mark for responding promptly whenever I had questions regarding my solar panels and batteries.
