We needed an area leveled in the yard for a swing set and had a pretty tight timeline. We saw Longfellow’s had completed a great job down the street, so we gave them a call. They were so fast! We had a quote in days and a plan to get the yard leveling sorted out with plenty of time before the swing set was delivered and installed. Super friendly people! Really a wonderful experience.

Joe and Tyler came for a full day of clearing out a bunch of invasive species, small trees, and overgrown shrubs throughout our property. They also cleaned up some garden beds and planted new shrubs. They were efficient, skilled, hard working, and a joy to work with! They were open to all of my ideas, offered some great ideas themselves, and did an amazing job of executing my vision.

My goal was to get rid of all invasive species and make space on my property for indigenous plants that will be a better habitat for the animals, birds, butterflies, and bees. I have plans to plant a lot of indigenous plants in the spring. I also wanted to clear a small wooded area on the side of our property so that it could be a fun outdoor play space for my child (see before and after pictures). They exceeded my expectations with all of this!

One of the toughest projects was excavating invasive barberry bushes and planting what will become beautiful robust winterberry bushes in one section of our yard (see before and after pictures). They did a fabulous job all around. I would hire Alden Longfellows Landscaping again without reservation!

We worked with Jon and Dan and were impressed with both. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and capable and produced excellent results. Best of all, they took advantage of material delays on another project to complete ours much sooner than planned. We’re happy with the outcome and will likely call them again.

Highly recommend these guys! So far they have done 4 big jobs for us... (Well big for us, but piece a cake for them) Quick with a free estimate, quality workmanship, friendly, and professional. No "can't see it from my house" attitude. They have gone that Xtra mile every time.
They added a circle driveway, rock wall, moved a pool deck, excavated and filled a pool area, (so we could expand our garden,) graveled behind our garage, and have mulched our almost half acre garden...
Without a doubt, we are so glad we found these guys, and you will be too!

No matter the season, Alden’s Landscaping & Excavation is the place to call!
This time for me it was for flower and rock gardens that needed clean-up, trimming and weeding.
Jonny, with his expertise handled it all. He systematically removed the weeds and low bushes covering plants in flat areas and hillside gardens.
He had all of the tools necessary for each and every job. He loaded all into the Longfellow’s truck and it was totally clear when the work was completed that day. All looked so fantastic!

December 2024
We were in an unusual situation in December 2024 as I not able to get any of the fall leaves picked up before the next snowfall.
I called Longfellows thinking there was no way it would be possible that they might be able to do such a major fall leaf clean-up so late in the year.
Karen answered the phone and she was so great. She said she would forward the request.
I received a call right off and they said they thought they would be able to send a team and get it all done!
The Longfellow’s Team of three was beyond belief. Jonny, Zach and Ryan came and had three huge leaf blowers and the leaf vacuum truck.
The leaves were so wide spread on the steep gardens and lawn. When they started they did not stop until every leaf was piled and then removed into the truck.
They worked in such unison, it was amazing! Thank-you to Longfellow’s for all that they have done for us and for so many over the years and a huge thanks again to Karen, Jonny, Zach and Ryan!

We have worked with Alden Longfellow's Landscaping for a number of years...they are great to work with. They work with you to design a plan for your yardwork, lawncare, woods clean-up, and winter plowing. This can all be tailored to your needs and interests. The lead staff communicate well and work with you with great care for your yard and property, and the staff they have doing the work are all excellent, and very nice and kind to have around when they are working. They know their stuff about planting, shrubs, lawns, etc.and care a lot about looks and plant/shrub/lawn health. Highly recommended!!

Very talented staff, they know their stuff. Karen is especially helpful. I had been wanting to put in a paver patio for the longest time but it was out of my budget. For 3 years, my backyard has been unusable. So I opted for this simple gravel. At first, I was not confident that it would look as good as he said it would; but it did. After the dust settled and a few rains, it catches the light beautifully, is easy to walk on, and really makes the place look great. My little oasis is finally coming to life. Next spring, I'm hoping to add the finishing landscaping touches with Longfellow's help!

Dan and his team did our entire landscaping for a new home construction. They turned a ~0.75 acre lot of mud soup and overgrown thicket into a beautifully landscaped lawn with gorgeous hardscaping features. They not only hydroseeded the lawn, but they also poured a stamped concrete patio, installed a flagstone/gravel walkway, laid deep French drains to prevent standing water from pooling, dug underground gutter drains, and placed two boulder retaining walls creating a perfect "mountain lodge" feel to our home.

I am likely forgetting something because they do it all!

He and his team are incredibly diligent workers. Punctual, responsive, accommodating, and easy-going to top it all off. You can't say the same about many other contractors out there!

Dan has a truly unique ability to translate a rough vision into precise reality and is adept at providing recommendations whenever tapped on for opinions. Even better, he is not at all imposing and completely respects the customer's wishes. This not only creates a steady flow of seamless business interactions but also results in the vast majority of the work coming together with zero or minimal oversight by the customer.

In total, he and his team worked on our grounds for about 3 or 4 months, on-and-off towards the end. We had a great experience, and I would highly encourage anyone seeking landscaping (and in particular hardscaping) to go to Davis Lawn and Landscape before *any* other businesses.

Davis Lawn and Landscape poured the slab for our garage, aerated our lawn and spread loam for seating. Very happy with the results. We finally have grass!! We will definitely be hiring them again for more projects!

We hired Davis Lawn and Landscape to repair a badly damaged lawn and install a stone walkway. The work was outstanding, and they had excellent communication and kept me up to date on when all the aspects of the work would be done, and had fantastic suggestions to improve our lawn and the design of the walkway. I was so pleased with their quality and integrity, I also hired them to come back and do repairs to my driveway which also exceeded my expectations. I'll be using them for all my future landscaping needs.

Davis Lawn and Landscape did an awesome job cleaning up fall leaves around our large yard. We did not get to the fall leaves as winter set in early so there was an abundance. I would highly recommend giving them a call for your lawn and landscape projects.

Robert and his team did a fantastic job installing a beautiful patio/fire pit area and re-grading much of our backyard. From our initial meeting and throughout the entire project, Robert was great to work with. We appreciate his ability to listen, offer suggestions, and his overall attention to detail. We are thrilled with the work that RD Outdoor did transforming our space and we look forward to working with them in the future!

When we purchased our home, it came with a deck that was falling down and a tired backyard that had no appeal. We had a plan in our minds of what we wanted our outdoor space to look and feel like and we spent about a year looking for a company that both understood that vision and had the ability to take it on. We found that company in RD Outdoor.

From the first time we met Robert and his team, we knew we made the right choice. Throughout the design and construction process, they worked with us and presented suggestions that made the project so much better than we originally expected. What was originally conceived to be a single level patio with a fire pit, turned into a terraced patio space with three step down elevations that lead to an incredible circular fire pit area that is surrounded by giant reclaimed granite blocks. In addition, they also installed three beautiful sets of granite stairs. Robert and his team have the skill and resources that are necessary to complete such an extensive project. They are polite and very professional and made the entire process extremely enjoyable.

Been set up on Wentworth rd all day with an unsafe work zone without a flagger. Vehicles and equipment on both sides of the road forcing vehicles to play chicken with each other as there's no clear line of sight. Do not hire these people
