They come in, complete the cleaning, inspect the area, and provide honest feedback without trying to upsell or push unnecessary services. Since moving in, I have had a crack in the base of the fireplace, and they have continued to monitor it rather than pressure me to fix something that doesn't need fixing. I highly recommend them!

I have used Naperville Chimney Sweeps for years. They are wonderful. They come at the time of the appointment. They are thorough and explain everything that they are doing. they go above and beyond by checking your fire alarms and your gas lines and to see if you have smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. They take pictures of your fireplace and explain to you if you need any thing further done. I would definitely recommend this company. Most of them who work for the company used to be firefighters or still our firefighters

on time, neat, thorough, Wayne and Aiden taught me a few new things about fire safety and took the time to show me where my cutoffs were located, how to know if my fire extinguishers are working and the anatomy of various exhausts that my house has. If you're looking for peace of mind and trustworthy service, call Naperville Chimney Sweeps. Very respectful of the space where they are working. They lay down protective drop cloths, and were very careful with the actual chimney brush and all of the extension rods. They showed me pictures taken by their drone, showing the condition of my chimney on the outside. The whole process took less than a half an hour. They also had a new key for my gas line valve. I thought I needed to call a plumber to have that valve replaced but they said, no, you just need a new key. They did say if the key doesn't work over time, I may eventually have to have the valve replaced by a plumber, but they saved me a lot of money today by selling me a $9 key!

Naperville Chimney Services did a great job inspecting my seldom-used 58 year-old chimney and giving me a complete report on maintenance required to put my fireplace back into operational service.

Their team, headed by a former fire fighter, arrived exactly on time. They took great care to contain any mess from their clean-up including removing their shoes, which we did not request. Their cleaning was very thorough and their inspection was also very thorough. They left us wiht a complete list of follow-up repair work needing to be completed, some of which we may have them do in the spring.

Aeden explained everything he was doing, welcomed me to watch the chimney inspection camera in action, and kept everything around the fireplace protected and cleaned. He was very thorough, and answered all questions I had. He even gave many helpful tips related to fire safety. I would recommend this company.

I utilized this company's services in 2024, largely due to my respect and high regard for the Naperville Fire Department, whose involvement factored into my decision. The work performed was satisfactory, and the overall process went smoothly. However, I found the cost to be on the higher side.

The service includes a lifetime warranty, contingent upon the completion of an annual inspection, which is priced at $250—even though an inspection service is listed online at $69. While I understand this is part of their business model and accept the terms, my concern lies with their communication practices.

Although the company sends annual reminders, those reminders fail to clearly state that failing to schedule the inspection with them will void the warranty. I made a reasonable request for them to either:

Schedule me automatically for the annual inspection on a preferred date each year, or

Add a simple note to their reminder email stating, “To maintain the lifetime warranty, an annual inspection must be scheduled with us.”

Unfortunately, the representative repeatedly declined, citing that this requirement was stated in the contract and communicated verbally at the time of service. My request was not to alter the terms, but simply to help ensure clarity and continuity.

As someone juggling many responsibilities—and growing older—I believe a small, customer-friendly addition like this could make a meaningful difference. Is it truly too much to ask for?

We recently had our fireplace relined and some additional work performed. Naperville Chimney Services did an excellent job of not only performing the work but also excellent communication throughout the process. We have been a customer for years for annual cleanings and inspections and we are very happy that we used them for the relining of our 50 year old fireplace. We feel confident in the work and look forward to using our fireplace safely for many years ahead.

Attention to detail was incredible. I have been using another service since 1995, but after stumbling upon Naperville Chimney on Facebook and minding their posts of training, safety, thoroughness with modern technology and tools. I called for an estimate of typical services. Perhaps I should not say this, but I expected to hear double the estimate! I expected a final report of similar to the previous cleanings; I was shocked to see first-hand the camera views showing multiple issues that need to address before next season. It was cute having my previous Sweeps show-up in long duster coats and wearing stovepipe hats, but it's clear NCS are professionals and reasonably priced.

We used Naperville Chimney Services for pressure washing & weatherproofing after deciding their chimney repair quote was too expensive.

Pros:
• Clear online communication and friendly technicians
• Professional email receipts with photos

Cons:
• Technician tried to skip pressure washing, saying “we like to keep some algae on there as a barrier” ….really?
• Had to show their own email to confirm pressure washing was included
• Only ~60 minutes of total work but charged $900 labor + ~$240 materials (equates to $450/hr/each for two workers)

Overall: Good communication, but overpriced for the amount of work. A general contractor may be a better choice for waterproofing.

Jason just finished up hovering my vents (including dryer) and did a fantastic job. Clearly told me what to expect and showed me pictures afterwards. So worth getting it done. My house just “feels” cleaner now those vents have been addressed. Will be using them again.
