I hired Michael to tear out some old grass and lay new sod in my backyard. He is as proficient as they come and efficient with his time. He's also very meticulous. The project was completed in two days, start to finish. I highly recommend.

Michael helped me with a pond problem in my new home. I had reached out to EVERY pond company in and around the Boise area, including one located less than a block from my home. Michael was the ONLY person who offered to help and went above and beyond for someone who could not make a major purchase from him. Two weeks after our initial conversation, he reached out and told me he found some supplies that would help me, no charge. He did all this for someone who was bringing nothing to the table.
His kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity make him the kind of person we all want to work with. When I met him, his work and setup finalized any question of who I would recommend in this field.

We contacted Michael to add a water feature to a dead corner of our back yard. We had a general idea of what we wanted; Michael expanded upon that idea with his vision and expertise to provide us a beautiful water feature that was much more impressive than anything we had imagined.

I had the best experience working with Michael from Land & Aquascape Landscaping. He came and troubleshooted a small waterfall, which had been not working for some time. He was prompt, kind, respectful, and immediately radiated trustworthy. He didn't charge me for the time it took him to go get the part I needed, (a new pump) gave me a three year warranty, and when he came back he fixed the gate that he noticed dragging without me even asking, and also lobbed off a branch that was needed, all without charging extra. The quality of his work was top notch. So grateful that even though he's based in Middleton, he had no problem servicing Boise. I will definitely be using him for any future needs and can't recommend him highly enough!

I cannot say enough about this company and especially the owner, Michael. He’s a true professional from the moment you meet him… and with an artistic eye. He exceeded my expectations and that’s pretty hard to do. The best decision I ever made was calling him for an assessment of the old water feature. When he asked me to come check the 5000 pound rock for approval, I’m embarrassed to say my attitude was, “a rock is a rock.” Well, it’s not. This gorgeous rock created the most beautiful and interesting bubbler. Just gorgeous. Love it!!!

Michael did an amazing job correcting a water feature that was installed 2 years earlier by a landscaping company. The fountain worked OK for 6 months but then started having minor issues until there were major issues. It took Michael only 3 days to review what was previously done, identify the problems and formulate a solution and then make the corrections needed. These corrections included removing all that had been done, filling in unneeded pits, regrading with new modern pits and supports added and then replacing all the plumbing and 3 large bubbler rocks in the correct location and position.

Absolutely thrilled with the work Michael and his landscaping company did for us! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Michael renovated our water feature into something truly stunning, leveled our yard (which had been eroding into the pond behind us), and built a gorgeous boulder retaining wall that not only looks amazing but adds so much stability to our property. He also removed a tree and replaced them with a beautifully designed fire pit area.

What really stood out was Michael’s professionalism, attention to detail, and work ethic. He and his team were a pleasure to work with — always punctual, respectful, and communicative. And to top it all off, they completed this entire transformation in under two weeks! The quality of the work and the efficiency were truly impressive. Highly recommend Michael for any landscaping/water feature needs — he exceeded every expectation we had!

We hired Michael to put in a simple one rock water feature in our backyard. We were on a budget, so we wanted something simple with plans to add plants and some rocks later. We have a very calming water feature to drink our coffee in the mornings on our backyard patio. Michael is an excellent communicator, very reliable and conscientious. He even pressured washed our concrete because his forklift left rubber marks. After he left, there was no evidence of any construction. He took care of the electrical, picked up our rock that we chose, and hauled the dirt away. He is a full service guy and I strongly recommend him.

Pictures don't do this lovely water feature justice. And it totally misses the sound of cascading water that we love. We previously had a poor experience with a different company that installed a waterfall that was nothing but trouble. In comparison, these bubblers provide just as much sound and visual appeal, but are effortless to manage. Happily, we had a first rate experience with this company. The owner is very professional and communicative, he is extremely thorough and precise in his work. He invited us to the rock yard to look at rocks (we ended up leaving the selection to him). We were totally thrilled with the whole experience and the beautiful result, so we have decided to do it again. Yesterday we met to discuss placement of another set of bubblers. We can't wait to see it!

Words can express my gratitude for Mike and Brandon for taking my blank slate of dusty dirt to my absolutely beautiful backyard. The guys listened to my ideas and then came back with things I never even thought of that made all the difference. I could count on them to always answer my questions. They were honest and hardworking. They showed up everyday and if they weren’t going to be there they communicated that with me. The guys put in long hours and were very dedicated to our project and making sure we were happy with everything! Wendy (who is just as amazing) helped with trees and plants and took the extra time to walk the nursery with me so we could get exactly what we wanted. Every text and phone call was answered. They went out of their way to include my son (which he absolutely loved). Our project is done and we sure will miss the guys!

Michael's collaboration assisted in design and features we were looking for - natural spring from a forested/mtn area. His attention to detail at every step is amazing. Alignment on materials, coordinating electrical needs, communicating when days were in conflict was very open and honest. Working in less than desirable weather to move the project along!

Land and Aquascape Landscaping (LAL) has provided four very important projects to improve our property. Our first envisioned project was a water feature made of natural materials for our backyard. During our first year in our home, we became aware of three other necessary projects: 1) roof drainage away from footings; 2) drainage of intermittent ponded surface waters; and, 3) walkway improvements. The owner of LAL, Michael, collaborated with us to complete all four projects in 2024.

Most impressive is our natural material water feature which also serves as the pump to manage the safe removal of our surface water runoff and the intermittent pond,
