We have used State Automatic for 20+ years and are never disappointed. Most recently our water heater went out and less than 2 hours later it was already being replaced. Super friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. Our "go to" for any of the services that they can provide. Highly recommended!

State Automatic is outstanding! We had them replace our furnace and air conditioner. Bob and the whole team at State Automatic were extremely helpful in installing a new furnace when our previous one (from a different company) unexpectedly needed to be replaced. They gave us a great price and installed the furnace quickly. Then, when I had questions about the furnace a few days after installation they graciously answered all my questions when I called. Can't recommend them enough.

Last summer State Automatic Heating and Cooling replaced my air conditioner which had stopped working. While they were at my house, they also replaced my furnace which was original to the house. The installation team was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. They laid tarp to protect my floors and stairs, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Their pricing was reasonable and one of the sales managers stopped by my house to inform me of additional savings through a ComEd energy program.
I will use this company again for seasonal inspections and installation of an updated humidifier. It's comforting to have a reliable local company that I can count on.

They helped us select a new furnace after reviewing various options and prices. We like that they remind us to schedule our air conditioning check up in the spring and the furnace in the fall. I'm revising my original review. I purchased a heating and a/c unit in fall of 2022 and the a/c never worked properly. After multiple attempts of repairing my unit was still was not working properly. Fast forward Kathy contacted me because I had given a bad review and she wanted to know how to make it right. She sent someone out to my home to assess the problem. What they found was the original unit had been damaged upon delivery and they repaired the unit and have been checking constantly on me to make sure that it's working properly. In this extreme heat I can't tell you how grateful I am that they stuck by their product and made me a happy satisfied customer! Thank you Kathy for being a great person and standing by your company and their reputation!

Having spent my entire adult life in the construction industry has exposed me to hundreds of trade related businesses. The people at State Automatic are the "gold standard" by which all others are judged.

In a year when our two furnaces and two A/C units needed replacements, it was time, our two water heaters also died within a week, and our clothes washer and central vac unit all died at about the same time. The one positive of this series of events was working with Bob Gates and Josh at State Automatic Heating and Cooling. Bob took great care to do a complete analysis of our house and to design the perfect systems for our needs including some minor ductwork modifications. Bob spec'd Carrier Infinity furnaces and A/C units, humidifiers, electronic air cleaners, and WIFI thermostats with Alexa. Josh and his team oversaw the installation. We have a finished basement. Josh took great care to do a “white glove” install protecting our furniture and rugs. My utility room never looked better.

Everything works perfectly as promised. State Automatic is a local and reliable family owned business with competitive pricing and excellent service. Bob even helped us obtain all available rebates and promotions. Our 30 year old house is now more comfortable in both heating season and in A/C season, the air is cleaner, and we have a significant reduction in dust. We strongly recommend State Automatic Heating and Cooling and especially Bob and Josh.

Our family has been using State Automatic since moving to the area. We've replaced two HVAC systems with them. I'm always surprised with how quickly they're able to dispatch techs. Plus their techs are knowledgeable, thorough and trustworthy. I don't ever feel like they're trying to upsell us to make an extra buck. Plus they regularly donate to charitable organizations, which really sets them apart from other companies. We've been very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone!

Jose came to my home today and was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and honest. He found a leak in my air conditioner and has also helped me with furnace repairs.
