All reviews for NEC Technology Repairs

NEC Technology staff was very responsive to each of my inquiries over the last month and got our refrigerator designated as unrepairable as quickly as they could. The warranty held things up at every turn and provided contradictory information from one call to the next as I had to follow up repeatedly to get updates. NEC was quick to help me understand the process and resend documentation to the warranty when the warranty lost track of it. I appreciate all they did to get us through this process quickly.

NEC called the week before to schedule the appointment and they showed up at the scheduled time. Lead Tech Glenn had diagnosed the issue in about 30 seconds!!! Part ordered and he showed how we could still use the dryer until the part arrives. A+ very professional and courteous.

Fantastic service, once the parts arrived from the manufacturer they scheduled my repair for the next day. Great communication and excellent service. Mike made the repairs quickly and my refrigerator runs like new

What an awesome experience! The guys that came out did an outstanding job on Wendy the Washer, our bespoke all-in-one Samsung machine. They worked hard and were courteous in every way. As far as our experience with this company, they get the job done. Parts take awhile to come in, so you do have to wait on that. Start to finish the process lasted a week and a half. Patience and persistence are in almost every walk of life, a broken washer is no exception. She’s up and washin’ thanks to NEC.

Filed a warranty claim for my washer and it was assigned to NEC. I contacted them via email and received a prompt call back. The technician (Calvin) arrived the next day and diagnosed the problem. He ordered the part and gave me an estimated timeframe for receiving it. They called me back a week later and said the part was in and scheduled install for the next day. Calvin again arrived during the service window. He replaced the control board in quickly and tested the fix. Overall a very good experience.

Terrible!! Came out more than 3 times to fix the dishwasher. Made it worse each time and had to hire another company to fix all of their mistakes. DO NOT USE THEM!! Even if you are using them because of a warranty. You will end up paying more in the long run to fix their errors. Each tech they sent out had no idea what they were doing. One of the techs actually tried to Utube how to fix it!!!

The ONLY communication is through text messages. I was only able to figure this out by googling them and seeing many people say this after calling numerous times as well as leaving a voicemail only to get a reply saying that they were on a call. They didn’t respond back after their call so I responded back and always seemed that it was a bother when I did get a reply. A guy eventually came out said what the problem was and said he would order the parts and it would be a week or two. Over a month later I still hadn’t heard anything, I TEXTED to ask what was going on with the order and got a response that the part was ordered and eta is 8-10 weeks. Nothing after that from them. Got an email from our home warranty company that said I needed to pick a new dryer. I would NEVER recommend this company as they have poor communication and they have a lack of professionalism!!!!

AHS assigned this provider. They originally came out to repair a leak from the freezer and after several visits and floor damage the leak still exists. They also took a part with them that they claimed I threw away. I have video showing that they do in fact take parts with them. This is basic robbery, they literally stole ( took) a part and lied and said I threw it out. The only way I’ve been successful in contacting them is via text. They have poor record keeping and they do not even know which repair men they send to your house ( text proof of them asking to describe which repair man was at my home ). If the warranty company assigns this company tell them you want another provider because they have no clue what they are doing ( literally multiple visits over several months and the problem was not fixed) and they take and lose/steal things from your home ( parts to the fridge/freezer) & claim the customer threw it out. AVOID them!! And it seems that based on multiple other reviews the owner or representative will either not respond or will respond blaming the customer or defending their practices, but look up other companies and you will see this has got to be one of the worst reviewed companies. Take some accountability and fix the problems instead of lying and blaming your customers. Speaks volumes about what type of repair company this is- it comes from the top, and if the top acts this way imagine what your allowing into your home

We missed a call and tried calling back for over 20 minutes, three different numbers. No response and two of them didn't even have voicemail. We have been trying to have them fix our dryer for FOUR MONTHS!!! Absolutely, positively garbage. We hate that this company is our warranty service company. If we had known, we would not have purchased the warranty. I can't give them a zero star so it's a one from us.

No call back, had to contact 3 x . Told tech at first meeting needed new ice maker, provided model, brand, serial number. He decided we need a new ice maker after his visit. No parts on truck. Have to order. Can’t talk with anyone. Might call you back if you’re lucky. After three weeks still being told ice makers is on backorder. It can be bought on line now. Lowe’s should be ashamed for selling warranties using this company. No ETA on when the ice maker will be in stock. Yet they texted me last week that it would arrive this past Friday. If they had negative ratings I would use that. But had to give them 1 Star.

INCOMPETENT. UNETHICAL. IRRITATING. STAY FAR AWAY.
This company misdiagnosed my refrigerator problem. Twice. Installed a part incorrectly which cause the refrigerator to fail spoiling all my food. Then refused to cover the damage. And to add insult to injury they don't handle their phones. Of the dozen or so times I called them, I was able to either talk to a person or leave a message maybe 2 or 3 times. I could go on, but you get the drift. Stay far away from this company.
Their response is full of misrepresentations and downright lies. More reason not to ever use them.
We did not get a new refrigerator. We called GE and they sent out a qualified technician who replace the part they broke, and made a proper diagnosis. The repaired refrigerator is working fine now, no thanks to NEC.
If your service contracts send them out, call the company and demand a different provider. -
This company has been set to repair my fridge 3 times. Samsung told me they would call within 2-3 business days. They never did. 2nd time, Samsung told me the appt was canceled, NEC showed up anyway and I didn't know until 20min before the tech arrived. Ice maker worked even less than it did before. Set up a new ticket, still no contact. I had to contact them, it went to voicemail. The alternate number and email mentioned in their voicemail do not work. I texted and they responded but I don't even want to bother with them. I googled them and saw such a low rating and now I know why. Reported to Samsung and having my ticket sent to a different servicer.
Edit to add: They claim to have called a different number for the 3rd ticket than they did for the second, which isn't even the main number. There's no record on either of our phones of their calls. Samsung shows they hadn't even looked at the ticket, so they also lie and I don't appreciate that. -
NEC would not return my calls after coming to my house to repair my Samsung Washer. They told me it would need a new part aside from what they originally installed and to call their office to setup an appointment. This was even after I gave them $20 to grab some lunch as I thought it was a good gesture and they would be sure to come back.
They never answered their business phones or cell phones when I called to check on the new part and to get an appointment to have it fixed. I tried multiple times for mutiliple days with no success. This is the Samsung recommended service techs. Not only did they leave me without my washer working, I was never able to get them to come back and fix my washer.
I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend them or ever buying a SAMSUNG appliance! -
If you can avoid dealing with this company, run like there is no tomorrow! Unfortunately, I didn’t have that option as Asurion/Home Depot selected them for me. On April 5, I contacted Asurion for a dishwasher repair and was assigned NEC as the service provider. I was told via the phone and an email that NEC would be calling me within 24 hours to schedule a service appointment. They never called, nor had I attempted to call them yet. A couple of days later, a technician literally showed up at my door. I just happened to be off and home at the time. He looked things over, ordered a few parts based off the issues the dishwasher was having and indicated that I would hear back when they arrived. About 2 weeks passed and the same technician randomly called stating he would be at my home within the next 15 minutes. That would have been great had I known the parts were in or actually scheduled the appointment. However, I was commuting to work and even passed him on my way out of town. Not once, but twice NEC scheduled themselves and just showed up. I called them to advise that I wasn’t home and rescheduled an appointment for April 26. The same technician responded on the 26th. I won’t even go into the horrid details of the attempted repair. Bottom line, the young man had zero experience and was utilizing multiple YouTube repair videos in my kitchen. He spent nearly 3.5 hours trying to put a single part in that should have taken him all of 5-10 minutes to get out and replaced. I was left with a loose dishwasher door that slid apart due to missing screws. The tin access panel that housed the motherboard underneath was improperly reattached and missing about half of its screws. The door seal that was supposed to have been replaced wasn’t, as the wrong part was ordered. And the piece de resistance, the dishwasher wouldn’t turn back on after a 30 second test prior to his departure. That evening I wrote NEC an email about the repair. Lead technician Glen called me the next day and personally responded out 5 days later. He admitted that his employee had about a month’s experience. He indicated that he would reorder the parts that appeared to have failed. He indicated that he would make things right and personally fix it himself. Instead, Glen and his office did nothing but play games for the next 3 months. NEC closed out the repair ticket/case on June 9th. It was reopened by Asurion that same day. When I called NEC to find out what happened, I was told that Asurion must have closed out the case. They further indicated that they would have to reorder the parts and would let me know when they arrived. NEC closed out the case again on June 23. It was reopened by Asurion that same afternoon. Again, I contacted NEC who said they would have to reorder the parts and Glen would come make the repairs when they were in. The case was closed a third time on July 12. This time, however, Asurion reassigned the repair to a reputable service provider in the area. The new service provider was able to assess NEC’s failures on July 19. They had the exact same parts ordered and in hand by July 28 and the repair completed in less than 30 minutes on August 2. So much for Glen and NEC making things right ! In less than 2 weeks’ time, another company completed what NEC couldn’t do over the course of 3 months. I was nothing but nice, cordial and patient with NEC until the day I posted this review. Anyone that operates under such poor management and business practices deserves the lowest ratings possible.

The only one that was professional was GLEN, the first tech that visited my house. The rest are a bunch of rude lying crooks. They lied to my warranty company that a motherboard was needed for the repair and they also lied that they fixed my appliance, without ever touching it. Now my warranty company thinks it was fixed and they don't want to do anything more.
They will never answer any of the four or five phone numbers given. If you are lucky like I was after 3 months of trying to speak with a receptionist and a supervisor, they are incredibly rude, loud and finally, when they did not have any answers for me, they hung up. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional in my entire life.
They will have a news station and my lawyer contact them next. -
Terrible company! I'm annoyed I have to give them even 1 star to leave this review. I don't know how they're still in business other than all their business strictly comes from the warranty companies who are just as shady as they are! Don't believe the owner's responses to these many complaints. Spare yourself if you can!

My home warranty scheduled this company for a dishwasher installation. I tried for 3 days to reach someone and only recieved a text message stating that they were on another call. I thought after 24hrs they would get back to me. I called the next day, same thing. I then chose to text my inquiry giving that they were operating with a cellphone. Still, no response. My warranty company called to get a review on my service and I explained that I was never answered or contacted. They promptly reassigned my claim. I received a text offering an appointment. Unfortunately, I had been been connected with. Company willing to come out same day.

Called GE call center yesterday and they set this company up to have a service technician out this afternoon, and never called or showed up. I even asked them yesterday if there was another company to use after seeing their reviews. I called an hour ago also and nobody answered. I should’ve been clearer with them about using somebody else after seeing these reviews. Now I have to wait several days with the holidays coming up again to get my appliance fixed.

This company is contracted by Lowe's to do a dishwasher repair .
2 weeks after, when the appt was scheduled, they don't show up. When I finally get a hold of them, they tell me Lowe's doesn't schedule appointments for them anymore and schedule another. After finally getting them back, our parts ordered and back out again.. they come out and replace 3 parts. The repairman tells me the water line was not connected. There had been no water in the floor and the dishwasher worked? Just made noise.
After putting the parts on, he tried to start the dishwasher. It wouldn't work. He said I needed to call a plumber. That the water line just may be loose. But he can't reattach it to the dishwasher. Even if it just came off when taking the dishwasher out? He said to call them and they'll be right back out to check it.
It just needed to be reattached, water is filling up on the dishwasher However it's giving me an error code that the water pump is out. Which is the part he replaced.
No one will answer phone calls, you can't leave messages and they won't text you back.
My dishwasher was left broken with the bottom off and it's been 5 days with no response from them.
This is absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional service. I've asked Lowe's to send another company twice. They said the have no one else at the time. -
Unfortunately, I can’t give zero stars. I requested service from GE on a new appliance. NEC called and scheduled an appointment. My wife took off work, but they never showed up or called. We tried to call them multiple times and left messages. We have not received a return call and now it says their mailbox is full.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! The extended warranty company sent them out to repair our washer. I had forgotten that they had sent NEC out a couple of years ago and I had a bad experience with them.
The repairman, this time, said it needed a part and it wouldn’t take long. After a couple of weeks I tried to call for the status. I got a message that the mailbox is full. After several more tries, I called the warranty company. They had problems getting a hold of them. After a couple days, the warranty company sent me an email that the parts would be in the next day and someone would call to make an appointment. After a day or so I tried calling NEC to check on an appointment, and still couldn’t get through. I contacted the warranty company and told them that it had been over a month that we had been waiting and I wanted another company. A couple days later they sent me an order for a new company to take care of us. The new company had somebody answer the phone when I called. They sent someone out the next day and had the washer repaired the next week.
