It is a pillar to this community for a very long time.

Poor service. Trash left at jobsite. Cigarette butts left by workers on the property.

The worst customer service you can possibly get!!!!
The owner is super rude, careless guy I have ever encountered.
If you looking for a quality work, and a specialy advise on the landscape,
and after care, this company is the worst!

I work midnite shift and get to bed around 7am there is nothing more rud and inconsiderate than hearing 2 mowers and a weedeater going at the same time at my neighbors, There should be some kind of law against noise that early in the morning

The work quality of this company was top rate. The workers were all very courteous when questions were asked as to the status of the job. I would recommend them without hesitation. The finished job looked great.

I have never had a bad experience with this company. The owner runs a tight ship and it shows. They have some of the best equipment money can buy and it plays a big part in the quality work they do. Don't listen to the jib jab, this company is the real deal.

They were working in my neighborhood putting in new sewer pipes and I live in a Colville sec so it was hard to get in and out and they were not happy when we going to work and they had to let us out. Then when they did our sewer drain they made it so small so now when it rains alot the water doesn't go down there because it's not big enough like it used to be and now our road floods and if your not at home you can't get home till the water goes down just wonderful that they did their job like that

Hank's is the Premier Commercial Excavating & Landscaping Service Contractor in the St Louis Metropolitan Area ... I Highly Recommend them to ALL of my Business Associates ... No job is Too Large! ... Hank has been running a World-Class Operation for over 40 yrs!

Freedom Sings USA and the Village of Shiloh recently held a retreat for local veterans.
Hank's Excavating & Landscaping was kind enough to sponsor the event. Without sponsors, this event could have never taken place.
If you are looking for a company that takes care of the veterans WITHOUT ASKING FOR ANYTHING IN RETURN, you're looking in the right place.

Thank you, Hank's Excavating & Landscaping,

They do good work. I've seen them knock down a few dilapidated houses with skill. But one thing that bugs me is they always have the 1 Black guy they have working with them do some menial task like work the grass blower. I've never seen him use any of the fun excavating toys. Makes me wonder if management has the southern conferate mindset, and sees him as a token just for government contracts, not wanting him to learn bigger equipment. It's disgusting if so. My security camera videos can show you what I mean. Aldermen and Committee members show go watch.

Hanks is working on the bike path along Old Collinsville Rd in Swansea. They tore out and replaced my driveway and were very nice and friendly. The men working on my driveway did an awesome job.

Hank and his crew have great attention to detail and we’re super happy with black top parking lot. He may have been the highest bid but you really do get what you pay for!!- Allstar collision & repair

I called this company and told them exactly what I needed and what situation I was in. He was fine with coming out to look at it for a potential bid and job. When he was there he told my wife that we have no swale between the property lines like we thought and said he would send us a bid within 3 to 4 days. Instead we got a letter via email that they were not going to take on the project because they were too busy. I then called them and truth be told they were worried about a potential involvement in a lawsuit after explaining this upfront on the phone conversation before they came to our property. They totally wasted our time, precious time on us getting our issue resolved which included making a swale between our two property lines.

Hank's Excavating replaced the driveway apron and a portion of the sidewalk in front of my house. They did an excellent job. They got the job done quickly and professionally. Even backfilling and reseeding along the side the of new concrete. I'd definitely their services again.

Came out December 15th for a quote chris took pictures, and said he'd get me the quote before Christmas. First week into new year, called to get quote of course chris was on vacation for a week. Waited and waited no call. Called last week of January, secretary took name and number said they will call me back, no call back ever received. Called first week of February left messages for chris no return call, second week left name and number with secretary again she said they will reach out, Called February 20th and now left a message with Scott. If you don't want my buisness or for me to refer any buisness your way, just let me know it's called professional courtesy. I will take my buisness elsewhere from here on and wil not refer any of the builders your way.

Very unprofessional company. One of the workers jumped my gated privacy fence and trespassed while I was at work. The company is not considerate of anyone's schedule but their own.

I would like to preface this with the fact that I did not personally hire this company, but I live in a city that hired them to demolish multiple houses.

Two days ago Hank's demolished a condemned home with kittens inside, a neighbor heard their cries and put out a call for help on a local Facebook page. Multiple concerned citizens showed up to help rescue these poor babies and we were able to find 2 still alive, but unfortunately 2 died during the initial demolition. When I frustratingly called Hank's to see how this could have happened and to see if they could send someone out to help, the receptionist informed me she would pass on the message and have someone call me back. When I called again, I was informed that the owner had been told, but he said to delegate my call to someone else. I never received a call back. I have continued calling since then to discuss this incident, but the owner is very obviously avoiding my calls.

While accidents happen, through his act of avoiding this conflict altogether and not expressing remorse or empathy, the owner is proving himself to the community. Even someone from the city showed up to assess the situation, see if he could help, and apologized profusely for this accident.

(I would also like to apologize again to Hank's receptionist for misdirecting my anger at her on that day and that you have been stuck in the middle of this situation since.)

It took over two weeks from my initial call for me to hear back from anyone, and during those two weeks I ended up calling back myself twice vs anyone reaching out to me after being told my 'messages were being passed along'. Someone did come out, but not on the originally discussed schedule, their evaluation was less than helpful and they were not able to provide any clear and documentation assessment of their initial visit. I would not use them again or recommend them.
