Brian met with me and reviewed the project. He provided details and an estimate followed by a simple contract with a agreed on price. He showed up on time and completed the project to my expectations. Additionally, this is the second time I utilized his talents and both projects were awesome additions to my home’s appeal. I will use him again if the opportunity arises. Marlo, his wife works behind the scenes but was instrumental in supporting both projects.

Brian did an awesome job on my yard, I had about a foot of dirt that had to come off my yard and away from the house. He was very thorough and precise, he also graded the yard with ease. I now have a perfect front yard ready for landscaping which he is doing also. This guy does it all, I highly recommend him for any type landscaping. Thanks again Brian! I chose Raker’s Landscaping LLC due to all of the excellent reviews, & I also prefer using smaller local companies. I had received two other bids previously, which were way too expensive for my budget. Those two bids included more costly work, that was not necessary to fix the problem. Brian and Marlo came to look at my yard. I explained the drainage & landscaping issues and then we discussed a few options. Brian’s solution was the correct one and most economical choice also, saving me $$. There was no trying to upsell me with a more costly project than necessary. Saving me money, did not mean cutting corners, as everything looks great! The job turned out to be more work, (buried rocks and bricks to deal with), but I did not receive any additional charges. Professional, kind, hardworking and honest-and I can’t thank Brian enough. Thank-you Brian & Marlo for your excellent communication, promptness, hard work & the great results!!

I rarely write customer reviews as so few businesses merit one. Raker’s Landscaping falls into a different class entirely; a business that offers a combination of exceptional service at a reasonable price.
I am the owner of a small self-storage facility in west Belleville. During the recent snowstorm in January I needed my parking lot cleared to allow access for my customers to their storage units. I called many commercial snow removal services and most didn’t even return my call. If they did, they indicated they couldn’t plow my lot for 5 – 7 days and the quoted price was exorbitant.
I finally contacted Raker’s Landscaping at 9PM on THU 1/29 via a message on their website. When I checked my phone at 6:00AM on FRI morning, Marlo Raker had responded with a very reasonable quote and indicated that the lot could be cleared at 9AM on FRI 1/30 if I wanted to proceed. I did so immediately.
When I arrived at the facility, Brian Raker was already at work plowing the site on one side of the access gate at the entrance. We spoke briefly about the details of the job and I opened the gate so he could continue working on clearing the entire lot. Not only did he clear the lot, he blew away all the snow from all doors of the storage units and hand shoveled the harder to access area around the office door.
Due to Marlo and Brians’ rapid response and diligent efforts, I was able to send out an email to all my customers that morning that the facility and their units were now clear of snow and fully accessible. I have never engaged Raker’s services before but you can be certain that I will do so in the future. I would give them my highest recommendation!
