This a repost from 10 September 2020 (the original post was somehow removed): We hired Joshua Landscaping & Design for a large, multi-part, backyard project that consisted of demolition previous structures, installation of stairs, retaining walls, pond, concrete patios, garden beds, and drainage. We wanted a back yard free from worry, built to last, and the features tied in. This was a big deal for our family and we were really looking forward to having a back yard we could enjoy. Unfortunately, that did not happen. The pros: 1. The stairway is very substantial and solid 2. The paver walkways look very nice 3. The top patio has no defects The cons: 1. They started over a week late. 2. We were told the job would take two weeks to complete, it took five weeks (with at least 4 rain days and one day for the yard dry out.) 3. The salesman and the owner were not on the same page almost immediately. I kept having to ask the owner to put in features that he had not planned for because the salesman told us he would. 4. They chipped the lower concrete patio when they removed the frame and filled the void with rock from the side bed. 5. The retaining walls were supposed to be perpendicular to the house; one of them is visibly crooked and some of the wall caps were not glued down. 6. When the wood deck was removed they damaged the siding, did not fix it, and did not notify me of the damage. 7. On two of the beds they installed, the edging is already crooked (about a month later). 8. The salesman said they would replace the siding that was covered by the deck, the owner said he does not do siding. 9. They did not do a decent job of daily clean up or final cleanup. After the crews left every day, I went out and picked up the trash (water bottles, food wrappers, plastic bands,) they left lying around. When the job was finished, there were roots sticking up out of the ground a piece of buried hose, a drain in another bed that was sticking out, along with other related debris. 10. They did not finish gluing the sidewalls on the pond. 11. When they had finished the job, I was more relieved than happy. They went over the contracted price. I paid the contracted price and I agreed to pay half of the overages because he did install a new pump with skimmer for the pond and the block on the end of the stairway. 12. The salesman insisted the four-inch French drain with two drain boxes would work. They only ran the drainage to the middle of the side yard with pop up drains, instead of running it to the larger drain (as written in the contract). Three days after they had finished, we had a heavy rain and the drain failed completely; part of the back yard eroded, the side yard was a swamp, water came into my walk-out basement, and mud washed onto the lower landscaping. I sent Joshua videos of the drains failing. When I talked to him a couple of days after the failure, he agreed to replace the drain with a dry creek bed. Two weeks after that conversation, I called him again and he started to back pedal because materials for the dry creek were expensive. Instead of half measures, my wife and I decided we wanted two tubes of Locktite landscape glue (to finish the walls) and our money back (for the drain). He told me the drain accounted for $2500.00 of the contract. A couple of days later he sent a worker over with an $1800.00 check and the glue. The owner never came over to check on the yard after the drains failed; this showed me how little he cared for us as customers. Now, we are taking bids from other companies to fix the drainage. We had to remove all of the mud and debris from the lower landscaping. We installed a border wall to try and protect the landscaping until we get a permanent fix for the drainage. Instead of enjoying my backyard, I am reminded of how we were taken advantage of and the regret I have for hiring Joshua. I do not recommend Joshua Landscaping.

Joshua's Landscape did a great job grading our backyard. We have had multiple people out to help stop water coming into the house that has not worked until Joshua's Landscape graded the entire yard. We no longer have water coming into our house that needs to be vacuumed up by the bucket. We're very pleased with Wade and all the workers

Joshua and his crew were great, having an eye for detail, getting the job done on time, and courteous workers for both the jobs done at our home. We love this company and will definitely use them in the future! And, he charges very reasonable prices!

Josh was very responsive and got the job done within the timeframe and at an agreed upon price. Was able to source all the right materials and send me photos in advance for confirmation. Would recommend for hardscaping projects!

Had an above ground pool and deck that we removed at the end of summer and wanted the ground leveled and a pavers patio installed. Joshua’s did a great job and we love the new look. Very happy with the work and responsiveness to any concerns we had. Would definitely use again if we ever have another project.

I gave them two stars because our initial contact with this company was great. Everyone was professional. Showed up when they said they would and we loved the finished product. However, I feel as though the plants may have been planted too early and the frost that we received in the following two weeks killed them completely. So the beautiful landscaping that was initially installed now has dead azaleas going across our home. We are new to the gardening world so we didn’t know that this would happen. I contacted Joshua several times, left messages, & texted. We didn’t get a reply. I randomly tried a few weeks later and he answered. I explained my concerns and also informed him that we were thinking about doing another project with him. He put me on the schedule to come out and take a look at flowers and the future project but the next day he was a no call/no show. This makes me feel as though he may have known the flowers had died due to the couple of nights of frost and just didn’t want to face the music. I hate that it happened and I hate how he handled it. Safe to say, I won’t be using this company again for anything.

We are delighted with our paver patio extension professionally installed by Joshua's Landscape. They did an amazing job in just a few days. The design and layout exceeded our expectations, and we are looking forward to spending many hours enjoying the new space this spring.

Joshua’s Landscaping did a wonderful job creating a retaining wall in our backyard. When we moved into our house we had no idea what to do with the backyard and Joshua’s Landscaping created a beautiful retaining wall. I would use them again for any other landscaping needs.

After no luck with one company who would be late calling back or not calling at all I have up. A different friend told me to try Joshua’s and they got back to me right away. I just wanted something basic with pavers put around shrubs and several trees out front. They are busy so work started a little later than I expected but can’t say I was in a rush either.

Contacted Joshua's Landscape about making me a custom mailbox. Joshua was quick to reply and come over to take a look and see what we could build. Explained everything upfront with all the details. Work started the following week and his team was done in 2 days. Went the extra mile to freshen up the rocks around the new mailbox. Pleasure doing business with them and will be contacting them with all my future projects.

Joshua and his team brought our backyard vision to life. We were pleased with the professionalism, communication and high quality of work. We look forward to working with this company for future projects!

We had a shady area leading up to a back gate that would not grow grass and was a muddy mess. Called up Joshua's and had someone at our house to take a look and provide a quote on the spot. Super nice crew, and got the job done quick. Most importantly, it turned out great and we are very happy!

Needed a paver stone path put in as an emergency exit for my fayher in law who is a disabled veteran. Work was quick, clean, and extremely professional. Workers were very friendly and kind, they communicated well and were very knowledgeable in their work. I HIGHLY recommend their work!!

Joshua and his team are super professional and speedy. They did a fantastic job with the rebuild of retaining walls that were falling down after 40 years. They did an impeccable job cleaning up too. Highly recommend for any of their services they will take care of you.

Joshua’s team just finished making my vision a reality. We had a plan for the work for around my pool for about 2 months. A few days before starting I found a different idea to address the issue I was having. Instead of backfilling with rock, which had contributed to the rust, I wanted to have a brick border instead. Joshua was very receptive to the change. The team did a great job and was also very patient with my questions and concerns. Not only did they work hard every day, they seemed to have a strict schedule. At the end of each day, they spent the time clean up what they could and tidy up the yard. I couldn’t be happier with the results
