Home Services reviews in Bolingbrook, Illinois

This company has been doing the landscaping in my neighborhood since I moved in and I’m very impressed.
-
Absolutely the worst service or lack of service I do not believe these workers no anything about landscaping

Typical apartment complex "landscapers" who have no respect for the HOMEOWNERS in townhouse community. Workers are trained to run huge mowers without a care where they are needlessly sending streams of grass cuttings, then swing blowers back and forth mindlessly (blowing foundation dirt into screens/windows and patio doors and dirt onto patio furniture).
They want their contract pay, so they mow in the rain. They mow in drought. Their idea of removing fallen and cut tree and shrub debris is running mower in loops, over and over to "mulch" it into the grass, depriving it of nitrogen, requiring an application of fertilizer and a core aeration.
They groom shrubs all the same, balls or rectangles, regardless of the natural growth pattern of the shrub.
Use them only for commercial properties in industrial complexes! -
Unfortunately this company currently has the contract with my HOA. Wow do they do horrible work. The mowed today May 19 after getting around 6 inch of rain recently. We had standing water and they just continued to “mow” aka mud up the yards. This company is more worried about doing mass quantities instead of quality work.

We hired the company known as Drew's Lawn & Snow removal now known as Elevations Landscaping. Our bill was 12,000.00 which is a pretty shiny penny. Well, fast forward a yr, we are having issues and we called them to come out and take a look. Well, the response was that Minooka is far for them!! Really now, it wasn't a far drive to do the work & collect the money now was it!!! This will go to the BBB-if want want repeated customers this is not how you treat them. I would not recommend them to anyone!!

Professional and it seems that there is a sincere effort to please their customers. Sometimes it appears to be struggles to complete a service with great quality the first time. It may take several visits in order for the product/service to look complete. We are in strange times and it may be many reasons for their services to not look and/or be up to par, but more attention should be given to doing it right “the fist time.” Whatever it takes to make that happen should be considered.
Staying on maintenance schedules, better follow-up from an on-site supervisor would certainly help improve the quality of work and help them catch errors before their customer.
The “customer experience” should be very important and balancing their results vs customer experience would definitely help to improve there services and ratings. -
If I could give this company a -1 rating I most definitely would. MY HOA hired this company to maintain our subdivision. I am trying to understand WHY we continue to do business w/a company that provides subpar services such as a simple task as cutting grass, and takes them MONTHs to complete a work order. It ridiculous and these company should be ashamed of the services they provide.

So lucky to have Elevations as our landscape maintenance company out in Lockport! I am a Property Manager managing a townhome association and have finally found a good landscape company that is timely and dependable. Thank you David L. for going above and beyond with this weekends storm and going out there on a Saturday to review the damage and then sending the crew on Monday for cleanup. Great job!

This company is supposed to do the snow removal for the townhome community we live in on the east side of Aurora. They only do so when it is convenient for the, which is apparently almost never. Their crews use the wrong equipment for the task at hand and they barely know how to use the equipment they do have. They never get the snow remotely close to clear and often leave massive ares of buildup that turn into ice patches for residents to slip and fall on. I cant believe the HOA for our community wastes their money on such a shady and worthless company.

Unprofessional!
We would definitely not recommend Elevations landscaping company to anyone for the following reasons. There is a total lack of quality control, respect for homeowners’ properties and work ethic. The landscapers are not adequately supervised and are not performing their responsibilities.
Although the landscapers cut the grass, homeowners by and large have had to maintain the front and side beds themselves since weeds and deadwood overcome bushes and plants. Whereas in back privacy areas with patios or decks, homeowners have invested their own time, money and effort into personal plantings. Although these are clearly marked with flags indicating “personal property”, the landscapers still do not seem to respect this.
Previously, Elevations landscaping company had severely cut down plants that never should have been either trimmed or removed. What remained was dirt instead of our beautiful healthy plants. When we first addressed this lack of supervision, we were advised by both the supervisor and HOA manager that we were to place flags in plant beds that were not to be maintained by the landscapers.
We complied and until only recently, that worked well. But once again, the landscaper demonstrated this lack of supervision. This time they not only cut down plants in the back privacy area that were clearly marked with flags but also used their blower that spread the mulch we had just installed all over the yard and patio. Never is there an acknowledgement, an apology or an attempt to make it right.
Employees with integrity take pride in their work and derive personal satisfaction in a job well done. When an employee makes a mistake, it is necessary to acknowledge that mistake, take responsibility for it and accept the consequences. Likewise, an effective supervisor should go above and beyond in resolving issues by treating clients as he or she would wish to be treated.
A lack of business ethics can easily tarnish your reputation on social media platforms where your company’s reputation is constantly being monitored. As a result, customers typically will only deal with businesses whom they can trust to do the best job possible.
By having a strong work ethic and integrity, companies will not only attract new clients but also build existing customer loyalty. Such a business never loses sight of those who matter most: the customers. -
This company provided the WORST landscaping services of any that my HOA has used. I would give them a -5 if I could. They had a no prune order on my property, and even with the written order, and the pink flag by the mailbox indicating no pruning, they ignored that and pruned anyway. The FIRST time, I had another landscaper come in to do corrective hand pruning. The SECOND time, they destroyed the lower branching pattern of a redbud and also had begun to butcher a copper beech before I came home and stopped them. The weeping branches of the redbud camouflaged my air conditioning unit, but after they removed 35’ of lower branches, the unit was totally exposed. They made no offer to correct the problem but told me to get an estimate for plantings under the redbud which I did. They asked for drawings which we provided. No one ever communicated back to me. I had the plantings done and am still waiting for payment ($985) from Elevations. My advice if you are looking for a landscaper is to keep on looking.

Keep looking. Elevations is not what you want. This company was hired by our HOA in St. Charles. It has been days and our sidewalks nor driveways have been salted, shoveled, or plowed. My 3 year old is picked up by a bus at the driveway and I have had to shovel and salt to make sure it is safe. He also slipped and hit his face on the ground without salt. My neighbors and I will be working to remove this company that our manager should have removed entirely.

I highly recommend this company. The guys are so nice when cutting and trimming lawns.
The supervisor is excellent. He walks and drives through your community and makes sure the lawns and trees are looking good.
Even though the guys who cut don't speak English, they always find the supervisor to make an executive decision.
If you're looking for a good company. This company keeps the community looking amazing. -
They are the worst landscapers ever.
If possible I would give them -1
Unfortunately our hoa took them on.
I wish we never lost out last landscaping
Company. -
This company is a contractor for my HOA and they’re terrible. They’re using very old equipment, making it impossible to have an open window or door when they’re outside trimming the bushes or grass. I’m not a tree hugger by any means but it sucks to inhale those stinky exhaust fumes all day, one day per week. In the winter time they can randomly start shoveling the driveways at 4AM during the week? For real?

I am going to add to the litany of other negative comments on here in the hopes that they either turn their operations around or I can at least help people stay away from this company. Unfortunately I am stuck with them for now as they are contracted by my HOA. But the level of service provided by Elevations is nothing short of garbage. They are supposed to upkeep all of the landscaping properly but the only thing they really do is mow the lawn. They are supposed to trim trees and bushes but only trim halfway up. I have trees that haven’t been properly trimmed in years, mulch haphazardly thrown down, the pant beds haven’t been properly maintained and in their latest stupid work, they threw some plants in the middle of dead vines I’ve been trying to get my HOA to remove. Beyond stupid. So if your goal is to just get the lawn cut feel free to check them out but if you want any kind of real lawn maintenance, dint walk, RUN away from this company.

Where do I start. Terrible management of a large HOA neighborhood. These guys are supposed to be HOA specialists…more like rip off artists. Quality is horrible. Mowers have dull blades. They don’t edge beds. They ride their mowers through beds and mow when it’s too wet leaving tire/mud trails on the sidewalk. They hadn’t run a string trimmer or edger all year until this past mow and this is how it came out (see pics). The crew rarely replaces items they blow off of front stoops. Have found our welcome Matt in the bushes twice now. Only reason I gave 2 stars, their snow removal operation has done a slightly better job than Yellowstone, but that’s not saying much. Our HOA should have gone with a Mow and Go company because that’s about the quality these guys present. I’m sure it would have been a lot cheaper.

Came to give me a quote, never heard back, after reaching out to them multiple times.
-
They did concrete, pavers, and landscaping for entire front yard/entryway. Couldn’t be happier with the results!
-
Great work and very decent pricing. I would definitely recommend!

Set up an appointment and did not show. Did not call to cancel, and even with a request to know what happened, not even an apology text.
