DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Look at their company on Better Business Bureau. The owner Wolfgang's son came out in August, charged $144.00, said he would order the part, then this business ignored phone calls, voicemails and emails. I will be filing a formal complaint to have this company removed as a Generac dealer and also file with the Attorney Generals office.

We used this company initially for a Generac installation. That project went well without a problem. We subsequently hired them for another project. Ownership sent newly hired, inexperienced staff who constantly needed hand holding and could not complete any tasks sufficiently. On several occasions workers were actually sleeping on the job, literally. We had to replace them with a new electrical company who in turn had to correct BSOC's error and poor workmanship. Of course as you would expect from a business owner that doesnt hold themselves accountable, they want full payment. Even for work that had to be redone.

Can't speak to their quality of work, but knowing how heavily electrical work relies on codes I'd be weary. Here's my story. There has been a work van with this companies logo parked on my block overnight for the last week. I called last Friday, the girl said ok and took some basic information, I then called Monday and talked to who the receptionist presented as the owner and he assured me he would handle this and it wouldn't be a problem again. Monday night, still parked on my block overnight. Figured ok, I'll be decent and give it a full 24 hours. Tuesday night rolled around and walking my dog what do I see but the same JM Polcurr van parked on a residential street, something Section 9-64-170 is very clear about in the Municipal Code of Chicago. I called several times on Wednesday to try and follow up and handle this like a gentlemen but the office never picked up my multiple phone calls. I certainly hope their grasp of the NEC is better than their grasp of the Municipal Code of Chicago. I will now be contacting my ward office and the 9th district to have this van ticketed if I see it parked on this residential street again.

Frequently asked questions
-
Is GigoPro free to use?
Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing electricians is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.
-
How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?
Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, actively operating, and actually performs the work it claims. For regulated trades like electrical work, we look for proper licensing, and we automatically hide inactive listings.
-
How do I choose the right electrician?
Start with ratings and recent reviews, then confirm the company is licensed and insured for your specific type of work. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes, not just the bottom line.
-
Can I list my business on GigoPro?
Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.
-
How often is the directory updated?
Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. For example, this page is reviewed and updated monthly.
-
Do I need a permit for electrical work?
Most significant electrical work — new circuits, panel upgrades, rewiring, and solar installations — requires a permit and inspection in most jurisdictions. A licensed electrician handles the permit process and schedules the inspection. Ask about permits before you book.
-
How do I know if my panel needs an upgrade?
Common signs include breakers that trip often, adding major loads (EV charger, solar, heat pump, new kitchen), or still having a fuse box or a 100-amp panel. A licensed electrician can assess your panel and load capacity in a visit.
-
Are electricians on GigoPro licensed and insured?
Electrical work is regulated in every state. Ask each electrician for their license number and proof of insurance before work begins. Professional companies expect these questions and answer them without hesitation.
-
How much does electrical service cost?
Costs vary by job type, region, and complexity — there is no honest single number. Reputable electricians give written estimates after assessing the job, and comparing two or three of them is the best way to understand what your work should cost.
-
Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?
Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the electrician and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs help the next homeowners in your city choose well — and keep listed professionals at their best.
