Home Depot should have sent over the measurements beforehand. Saves customers time and hassle. Overall, good job with the carpet installation, especially on my staircase.

Hiring a third-party contractor through Home Depot ended up being a frustrating experience. The lack of coordination with the floor installation team was staggering - there was no single point of contact, so I had to go back and forth between the contractors and Home Depot multiple times. The communication loop was broken, making it impossible to make changes or schedule appointments easily. The only thing that was reliable was the cost of the materials and service, but even that wasn't enough to save this project from being a disaster.

Installation didn't meet expectations. All six doors are faulty - one security door still slams, while four interior doors either won't close or open properly. The installer blamed the unevenness of the house for the issues, but previous doors hadn't experienced similar problems. It's unclear if proper installation and alignment would have resolved the issue, which seems to be the case given the prior smooth operation of existing doors.
