One star for me π. This Home Depot store consistently surprised me in a good way during my recent Chicago visit. Every time I went there, multiple staff members were willing to assist, going beyond just directing me to the product's location. They'd actually take the time to chat with me about what they had. What impressed me even more was that some of these staff members weren't just employees, but also part-time PhD students working at the store. Even their customer service team was incredibly helpful. It's great to know I can go back if I need to again.

This company's employee, Tony, delivered exceptional customer service that far surpasses anything I've experienced. He's incredibly knowledgeable about electrical issues and is a standout performer. If you visit, request Tony β he'll take care of you promptly and effectively.

I hired someone to measure for a garage side door and they showed up on time. However, their work order was incorrect and they didn't have the right information. They tried to reschedule, but I wasn't having it. I'm not buying 10 windows, 2 storm doors, or repair services from them again. It's ridiculous that someone can't even read a simple job description.
Reading comprehension seems to be non-existent for this guy. If there were any questions, he should've called or texted instead of trying to pawn it off on the sales rep. Two people handling door and window jobs is also unnecessary.
I'm not willing to work with anyone who can't follow basic instructions or read a simple work order. The sales guy knew exactly what I wanted, but this installer was clueless. He claimed the sales guy had messed up, which was unfair. If they're going to mess up, own it and fix it instead of passing the blame.
In contrast, when things are done right, they should offer discounts and coupons. It's unacceptable that someone can't take responsibility for their mistakes.
