Boris is your buddy up until he gets paid and then radio silence. His team of two that installed my tv were affable, professional, and accommodating. But there was a disconnect where I had assumed they were coming to provide an estimate and instead had actually come to install the tv itself. This sent me into a bit of a flurry as I had not removed existing equipment or an existing mantle. They then set the base of the proposed tv at a level based on the mantle staying. This breakdown in communication resulted in me requesting the mount then be lowered as the mantle was going away. They agreed to accommodate this request but at an additional cost of $60. As my proposed tv would be sitting directly above my fireplace and risked melting, I assumed that was a concern we’d get to or would have gotten to in the estimate. Instead after I had paid they rec’d purchasing a fireplace hood but offered no guarantees it would be enough. I then attempted to contact Boris multiple times regarding the disconnect but have yet to hear back. Had it been an estimate up front we could have prevented the $60 surcharge and perhaps postponed the service until I could get a heat shield and new mantle to help prevent the tv from melting. Instead it was a good luck we did our job a stance solidified by a total lack of response from the boss.
