This review is long over due. We used Windy City home inspection and had the BEST experience. This company is the only company you should use based on two things.
1. Integrity
2. Work ethic.

I called in to receive a quote and wanted to inquire about mold testing. The woman on the phone walked me through on how I shouldn’t pay for the mold service unless the home inspector suspects water damage. This showed me that they are doing right by their customer’s not just trying to get as much money out of you. During the inspection my building engineer husband worked side by side
And he had nothing but positive things to say.

Windy City came recommended by my realtor. After doing my own research and comparing multiple factors, I knew Windy City was the best option for my needs. I selected them based on what was included in their condo inspection service and they had a sample inspection report on their website, which other companies did not have, so it was helpful to see what to expect. They also went on the roof and removed the electrical panel cover to check the wiring, which the other companies did not do (the others only would test outlets). For a 2000SF condo, it took about 1.5 hours.

They clearly communicated expectations, inclusions/exclusions, what areas they needed to access and their process.

My inspector, Jerrod, who is also the owner of the company clearly loves his work. He had me follow him the first few rooms (kitchen, main bathroom and bedroom) while he explained what he was doing, why he was doing it and what he was checking for.

I came prepared with my own questions and he answered them all.

The report was sent to me two hours later. Very good experience.

We understood what was to be accomplished clearly explaining throughout the inspection.
