Spent thousands and thousands of dollars at the store I can honestly say it no longer meets my standards. If you can’t find something, they’re basically is no one to help you. I wandered around the store for 20 minutes, trying to find someone to help and when I did, they simply placed a call and I heard it over the loudspeaker, but no one showed up. This kind of service we don’t need. Fortunately there is a Lowe’s close by which I have tended to use now in lieu of Home Depot. Naturally, I go to Home Depot. Ireplacing something that I previously purchased from Home Depot. I strongly suggest Lowe’s unless you know exactly what you’re looking for and where it is located. There is no knowledgeable help on the premise.

It is a garden center, but to me smells more like chemical factory... I understand they have to water all the plants, but sometimes the place looks simply like a swamp

Love this place. Great deals during all seasons and wide variety of diy projects. Outside garden is cool and definitely look out for the clearance rack during the summer months. Recommend for friends and family.

I did not like the new cashier system.

Always the place to go when you need something done or need the supplies to get your projects done.

Convenient location and easy parking given the location... nice garden selection including fairly priced christmas trees!

Never heard any sort of problem with this location. Always been great in stock and customer service.

The house plants were very healthy, and the succulent section had a very nice selection, including some interesting specimens. They also had a nice planter collection.

Terrible customer service experience this time. I asked 2 staffers in the garden center for help finding an item I was sure they had. First one brusquely told me that if it wasn't in the aisle I was in, they didn't carry it. The second sent me back into the hardware department. I finally found it on my own in the garden center. What a waste of time!

This is the best shop for plant lovers! I already bought 3 mini terrariums - one for me, one for my mother and for one for my best friend. They are all absolutely amazing and Michelle is so helpful!

Home Depot is never my favorite errand but when you can actually track down an employee, they are very helpful. This location is open until midnight and has a great plant selection in the summer.

Huge selection of plants. Well organized. Found everything i needed in the garden center. The app that helps locate items in the store was less than helpful -- wasted a lot of time trying to use it -- and the employees that helped me didn't understand it either.

Terrible service. Ordered carpet and installation, installation finally scheduled after 1 month from the order and the carpet arrived with totally wrong color. Still waiting to understand if I will ever get the carpet......avoid them!!! Just taking your money and disappearing

I've been to this store a number of times; it's location, hours and selection make it a natural choice. However, the service has been less than stellar on several occasions. My wife had a very poor experience there several days ago, prompting this review. Two young guys (employees) slyly "greeted" her at the door, and it was all down hill from there. Unhelpful employees with no knowledge of the product area (plants), and nobody lifted a finger to help her put a small tree in the cart, or even to her car. In fact, at the register, they made her lift it out of the cart and into the counter even though they could've easily scanned it in the cart moved it for her if necessary. Really, really unfortunate experience and in the future we will first try Menard's whenever possible - the service I got there recently was like night and day versus this place.

This place has terrible customer service. Very rude with a demanding demeanor when I had a return. Another opportunity was to take care of a price match with the Home Depot on Elston but they refused, saying that "we don't need to do that and that different stores have different pricing across the world." Well, this was down the street. I had to buy the item from North Avenue, take it to Elston, return it, and buy it again at Elston - they took care of me. I'm a credit holder with Home Depot and probably did $4,000 worth of business with them in 2017 but have learned to purchase at Elston and go to North Avenue with future returns in building materials returns.

Just had the most humbling phone call of my life ☺️

Called a plant store to ask if they carried seeds for herbs and flowers because, you know… plant store 🌱

The owner very condescendingly goes, “Um, no.”

So naturally I said, “Oh I’m so sorry, was that a stupid question to ask a plant store if they carry seeds?”

To which she replied, “Yes, actually. That’s a really dumb question. I haven’t carried seeds in 25 years.”

…and then hung up on me 💀

Anyway, I’ll be taking my happy little seed-planting ass to Home Depot where apparently dreams are still alive. Thank you sooo much.

The owner and the landscapers here are very nice and so very helpful. Also, they are very reasonable with their prices, especially in the city. I'm very pleased with their plants, trees and landscaping services. I fully support this Old Town small business!!
